I have a Brother PE800 that I just unboxed but haven’t turned on yet. I consider it a blessing that I found you. Thank you for your friendly demeanor and the very specific, clearly explained instructions on your videos! …I grew up as an AF brat, then worked as a contractor at an AFB for 42 years - God Bless America :)
Well welcome! I'm so glad you found me too! I started with a Brother PE770, the model before the PE800 so you are on the right track! The buttons and functions on my Luminaire are IDENTICAL to the PE800, except the Lumi can do more of course. I encourage you watch some very OLD videos by a guy names Vince Arcuri on RUclips. He's retired from the YT biz now, but he taught me everything I know about the PE770 unboxing and very basic embroidery skills, terminology, and supplies. He's elderly, he speaks slowly, but if you can stick with it, you will gain a wealth of knowledge about your machine. ruclips.net/user/vincea51playlists?view=50&sort=dd&shelf_id=1
I am putting together the "Winter Visitors" tile wall hanging. I wish I watched this video before I started it. The tile hanging I am doing the whole block is embroidery. Some of mine turned out a little wonky. I really should have started with the one you are doing. I had to really work to line things up, it doesn't look too bad. I looked for videos to help to begin with but nothing came up on the search. I will put a photo of it when I get the quilting and binding done. Thanks for the videos they are very helpful for the next one.
What a wonderful instructor you are! You explain every thing so clearly so than any novice can understand. I have been having a problem with extracting zipped files, and your explanation will really come in handy for me. Thanks
Hi Becky, I hope you and Kieth had a Great weekend at the coast. I LOVE your videos you make me laugh. I'm already for you, can't wait to start. Tell Kieth I said "Hello".
Hi Becky! ok, Gathering my supplies and I'm all set to do this! Bought everything a while ago, now I need to find them. It may take me a day or two, but I'll catch up! LOL!
Becky! I love the way you explain everything. I’m not doing this project, but I certainly can use the information on all my embroidery projects! Thank you for taking the time to share your expertise!
I did Anita Goodesign’s Last Supper a few years ago with 21 tiles. Already learned a few things from you that I wish I knew when I did the scene. It was a lot of work but looks great and is hanging in the church
Very pretty project! I am not doing it with you, but the info and tips you provide in the class are very helpful. I am going to try the T-Pins on my next project for sure! Always learn new tricks and tips from your lessons and sad when the video's are finished because I want to sit here and learn more! ! Love PTWT !
I’m looking forward to following you on this design as I’ve purchased it here in the UK. Never stitched out anything like this, so interested to learn about it before I stitch mine out. 😍😍😍
Good morning Becky! I was not going to make this project because I have a lot going on in my sewing room, but after watching you video I couldn’t help it 😅 and I order the kit and the rest of the notions. I cannot wait to start!!
I just subscribed to your channel as I came across your Table Runner from Designbyjuju and it was just brilliant! You explained everything to detail, I've not found anyone else who does that, so thank you for sharing your tips and tricks, they are very much appreciated. You are always one step of everyone by answering the questions before they are asked. Hello from the UK. Thank you again, please keep up the good work. 😃
Have purchased the design, can’t decide which colourway to do, I learn so much from your videos, and they have helped me pluck up the courage to use my embroidery machine, only trouble is I now want a bigger machine with a few more whistles and bells, we have Festival of Quilts here in 3 weeks time, will be stalking the Brother stand.
Ohhh, FUN! Hopefully they have some great machines there. I know that they're expensive but look at it this way "You can't take it with you so enjoy every penny now while you're still breathing." ha ha Take your machine with you to the festival so it's available for a trade in. :)
My husband created a top out of 3/4" plywood that is not connected to the Hemnes Dresser from IKEA under it. He added rails on the underside to snug up the new top. I wanted the top to be wide and long enough to iron a fat quarter and 42" fabric on the fold. :)
happy july 4th to you and Keith! I am excited to learn tips, to learn new techniques and to laugh with you. I am not making this project but I am following along because i love learning "stuff" from you!
Yes. Personally, I prefer the poly mesh for projects like this vs. the Clean & Tear. If you want to do exactly as the instructions, that's perfectly OK of course. It's been my experience, that when any kind of tear away is used with quilting cottons, you can torque the design and fabric fibers no matter how careful you are. I'll be showing to trim away the poly mesh and that doesn't cause any kind of fabric pull.

I’m so excited to make this! The black fabric is sold out. Can you please suggest an alternative. Thank you!
This was very helpful information Wow! Thank you Becky!❤
I love your ironing surface in the background. Can you tell how it was made?
My husband created a top out of 3/4" plywood that is not connected to the Hemnes Dresser from IKEA under it. He added rails on the underside to snug up the new top. I wanted the top to be wide and long enough to iron a fat quarter and 42" fabric on the fold. :)
@@PowerToolsWithThread what did you use to pad it with? Just fabric on top? Thank you! I’m really enjoying your channel!
happy july 4th to you and Keith! I am excited to learn tips, to learn new techniques and to laugh with you. I am not making this project but I am following along because i love learning "stuff" from you!
This is great! Love your instructions and teaching!! Thank you!
The instructions call for 2 pieces of Ultra Clean and Tear with each hooping. Is the Poly Mesh in black a substitute for that?
@@PowerToolsWithThread thanks so much! I will use the poly mesh as that is what I have.
The instructions call for tear away stabilizer - why are you recommending no show mesh?
I prefer that because it doesn't change the hand of the project. Of course, you can do whatever you prefer.😊
Difficult job to get the threads
Where do you get the package of Organ Embroidery needles?
I purchase my organ needles on Amazon.
Here's a link. amzn.to/3hhX2Wn
Reason why you didn't mention also using Terial Magic?
I've never used it.
Where do you get your gallon bottles of Best Press?
Usually on Amazon. It's much cheaper by the gallon. amzn.to/3hFeDGW
