I went from a nine to a five; I had originally felt it in a nauseous knot in my stomach and in a headache behind my eyes but now the headache is gone and my stomach is a lot better. (Btw my stress is housing insecurity and the inhumane conditions brought upon by capitalism)
I wanted to enjoy it fully except the high pitch in the music sounded very much like a distant fire alarm which is stressful.I did enjoy however the variety of distraction techniques you used.

I went from a 7 to a 2ish! ❤🙏 I just came across yor channel yesterday and it is AMAZING these are the best somatic medications ive found so grateful 🙏 can i ask some questions as im new to havening altho have heard of it before -when i first start the hand havening my hands start feeling clammy almost sweaty 😅it goes away after a while-but the weird thing is my hsnds arent clammy b4 i start? Also with this particular medication, its more if a distraction, as u mentioned- is it ok to be low level anxious about your day or how your feeling (chronic illness recovery ) and do this, like will it be useful as once the meditation is finished i go back to current reality (have a tendency to overthink, try to problem solve too much) or is using this distraction in that senario not addressing the "issues"? 🙏😘 hope this makes sense , just get confused about when to use distraction and when to be solution focused?
The clammy hands thing is interesting! I'm not sure exactly why that's happening but as long as it isn't uncomfortable I wouldn't worry about it. ❤ To answer your question: this meditation will help you at any level of distress and is a great way to support yourself regularly. You're correct in thinking that it's also helpful to do some sort of processing that isn't distraction-based as well in addition to this. (I have many meditations that help with that - such as my Somatic Meditation For Emotional Release.)
