- Classic Game Room season 1 - 5/27/2000. CGR reviews F-1 World Grand Prix on the Sega Dreamcast. How does this compare to F1 on the Sony Playstation 3 PS3? Check out the review from the year 2000. In this gam you drive Formula 1 race cars around famous tracks, many of which should be familiar to video gamers who like Forza 2, Gran Turismo 4 and GT 5, etc... This racing simulator was a gen 1 game on the Dreamcast, but it still looks quite fun today. Classic Game Room HD will be reviewing Super Monaco GP, Forza on the 360 and GT5 soon.
Classic Game Room reviewed Atari, NES, Nintendo, Sega Genesis, Dreamcast and Playstation... too bad they didn't get to Xbox 360, PS3, PS2 or Wii. Now Classic Game Room HD is covering the new systems.
Classic Game Room is on DVD. Развлечения
I miss Classic Game Room, used to watch a lot back in 2009/10
You dudes are legends! Love all the Dreamcast reviews :)
LOL, It was just that the "pizza with funny mushrooms" joke was so perfectly timed that I thought no way it wasn't planned before.
4:28 LOL that bot stopped on a dime outrageous
he put dry tires on while its raining
When I was a kid I would really have prefered to have this outdated F1 racing game than F1 2000 for the ps1, which was graphically impossible to know where you're going even for a seasoned fan.
Buzzing Hornets, lol. That was the year the F1 banned cigarette adverts from the federation and Benson and Hedges got round it by renaming themselves that.
Guru Larry Gaming actually they banned it in 2006 the reason they had that is because some country's banned tobacco adverts so they couldn't have Benson hedges on there car
wow, after seeing this, again, i remember seeing you guys on youtube from way the hell back
this game was all about the on-board camera. Huge steps forward in graphics and physics .
Wow this is an old Classic Game Room episode. I was actually just playing the N64 version of this and decided to see if anyone had reviewed it. This was actually the first "real game" that I ever got, not counting Put-Put goes to the Zoo as someone speed ran that in 43 seconds! (though I guess MS Flight Simulator 95 might count as a game, but flight simulators are borderline). I got an N64 for my 6th birthday and played so much I'd actually get nightmares just from how intense this game was. I have two of those weird UltraRacer 64 controllers that were like an RC car remote with a mini wheel on top and an analog throttle underneath. Its still fun even now, although a little harder then I remember since now I play with damage and flags so I can just take shortcuts across the grass and ram other cars into walls.
Cheers to a brother in writing story-length comments! 🍻
@@mechamania And replying to nearly decade old comments too! 😉
Excellent. Thank you.
The car responsiveness goes down when you brake and turn at the same time because the brakes can lock the wheels and if the tires can't turn, there is alot of friction imbetween the tires and the road when you try to turn it. So this makes turning much harder. I just had to give that explenation.
The review was excelent, thanks.
I really like the humour in this F1 Game review lol
nice review, but where you talk about the tyre flying off and hitting as many people as possible, that actually happened and killed a track marshall.
This review was wacky!😂
The game looks nice though.
Very surprised this turned up on RUclips as the crappy N64 version is more well known. Anyhow, I loved this game to death, that's why I'm going to ignore the luke warm reviews for F1 World Championship when I get a PS3.
speaking of F-1 world grand prix this game was on n64 n there was a second one made on n64 too i actually owned the 1st one on n64 n i currently own the 2nd one on an emulator. GREAT SHOW THOUGH
It wasn't long before you could play homebrew emulated games like Atari on the Dreamcast.
btw I will never forget that song at 7:40 that was such an awesome song in this game!!
Sometimes I don't know if you were improvising or if there was a script for the show.. Either way, it's freakin' brilliant.
4:35 all i can say is, that those other drivers has some real good brakes lmao :D
Hey, you talked about keeping your heart rate up as a joke but DRIVER SAN FRANCISCO did it for real over a decade later. Now I know where they got the idea from. ;-)
they reply to that comment in one review at the beginning, look for it
whhahaah. had to laugh so hard at marital status.
The marital status, looool
This game was improved in almost every way by the sequel, F1 World Grand Prix II, which is easily the Dreamcast's best F1 game.
I like so much the video. It reminds me when i bought my Dreamcast and this is so fuckin' good game and spent a lot of hours playing this.Just a question: can u tell me the name of the song of the apresentation's game?
the origin of the squirrel is explained
1998 Grand Prix 3 Dreamcast
I like this game!!!
Wow working mirrors. Take that Sony. lol..why Gran Turismo didn't have working mirrors I haven't the slightest idea. Good shit, played this shit on N64, looking into the PS1 version and yeh it did the N64 real well. Great interior camera.
Haha, nice flight of imagination :D.
yes... oh a very good one. sasha u having any new reviews? I showed my GF your Virtual console "colorful" reviews and she was on the floor.
Cool
lol the Bleem! ending. u know there was a bleem for the pc. 5/5
And I'm sure your Halo 3 or COunter Strike or Forza Motorsports 2 is realistec too.
Classic Classic Game Room 🍻
👩🚀🤳🏼 Members need exclusive emojis 🥴👍
I actually had this game on Nintendo 64.
@InecomCompany What is the music at the end?
the rock music?
That's the main theme from the game.
controls are wayyy to sensitive for this game
@calumsensible They get close to that. The run down through the tunnel is pretty long...
They predicted a south park episode
@THEAMAZINGSMILY yes that is a squirrel for you city boys
@calumsensible
I did say "close"...
you games are hilarious lol
@bduddy55555 with all the wing angle and short gear ratios try 180mph.
got a copy yesterday. it's not great, its ok, but im more of a fan of arcade racers, imo
you break before you go into a corner and you power out of it
@INEEDNAWZZZ So, you haven't played rFactor or F1C yet...
lol ....i owned this game!!!
I have the sequel on N64. That was the best F1 game I've played, besides F1 2010 on PS3.
yea
Hmm, graphically F1 World Grand
Prix 2 is not much of an improvement.
Still 11 Teams and 16 Tracks and
in both titles the best view is to opt to
remove all the HUD data and use
one of the two internal cockpit view and
play in sim mode. The game is best
played from the time trials until you
learn the behaviour and the tracks.
Its not the best looking driving game
on the Dreamcast, Le mans 24 and
Ferrari F355 Challenge look better
and at times I thought I was playing
a Saturn game.
190mph at monaco yeah? somehow i doubt it.
the sequel is also on the dreamcast but it's barely any better than this. not many improvements imo. not that that is bad btw
What idiot goes out on a wet track on dry tyres?
*Sarcasm*
was that the day you got the interesting mushrooms on your pizza dave? XD
Scripts? Hahahahahaha, that's a good one
@slackjaw67446 Who are you talking to?
This is crap compared to the N64 version!!!
