    Bought this month ago after watching your review. Your review was spot on. Very playful, easy to go from toe to heel, vice versa, little vibrations at high speed on groomed snow but very stable, carves really good. The graphics are good too. Thanks!

    Just bought last years model. I’m a beginner and in the past I’ve rented, but I fell in love with snow boarding. I’m definitely an all mountain rider I love carving and jumping and also pow. But I also want to get into freestyle riding a little bit too. Definitely excited to hit the slopes this Christmas break with my new board.

    Agreed, on everything, except I haven’t ridden the 2020 model yet so can’t comment on softer flex.
    I will say, when I put people on this board last year, men or women, they bought it almost every time. I would say my highest demo-to-purchase ratio in shop.

    What would you advise for an intermediate boarder looking for an all mountain board with a preference for freestyle? I know you hate the Skate banana, but i am indecisive for a while now on these three boards: Lib tech Skate Banana, Jones mountain twin and the Ride Machete (all wide 158/159 and models of current season). As a skateboarder the skate banana looks tempting, but i think in the long run the mountain twin is more versatile. Thanks dudeeee

      Go buy the Skatebanana and then find out how much a pile of shit it truly is. Either get the Ride Machete or go check out something else like a DC PBJ or PLY, Rome Buckshot or Agent.

    In your opinion if you had to choose between the Rome Ravine or the Jones mountain twin which would you pick? (I know they are kinda different but I’ve seen both of your reviews on them they both look convincing) I definitely like to carve more but occasionally will hit jump or two. I have a ride helix rn which is nice but not exactly for powder or slush in my opinion.

    I'm grabbing a new all mountain deck, something for a little bit of everything on days I dont know what to ride or when there is some pow but also a groomer/maybe a bit of park day. My park board is a 154 ipp honalee, freeride 159 gnu müllair, pow/trees is a 154 jones mind expander. I have an old NS proto type two(157) and funsliger 153 for all mountain and park respectively that I really dont like either of those anymore. My local shop said I can trade those boards in and they will give me a new one. They have a 157 Rome Ravine and a couple of these mountain twins that I'm interested in. Which one should I bite on? Looking to lay a trench, slash pow, and maybe play in the park a little bit when i dont want to bring more than one board to the mountain.

      While in the same category they ride entirely different. The MT has more snap because the camber zone is longer and it is slightly stiffer torsionally. The E Jack is a more damp ride, less snappy, and is easier to turn due to the softer torsional flex.

    Hey Angry! I'm planning to buy a new board for the upcoming season. I will be riding in Park City, Utah. I mostly stick to off piste, trees and all, a bit of backcountry here and there, but I'd like to hit the kickers and rollers on the sides. Also, this season I want to work on my tricks a bit, get butter rolls, 360s, indie grabs and all down. So while my focus will be on freeriding, a bit of freestyle performance wouldn't hurt; would you advice me to go for the Mountain Twin or the Explorer for 2020? I don't think you've reviewed the latter yet. I might get a year older model anyways. Or do you have any other board suggestions?

      Marcos, the Explorer is called the Frontier now - same board. (I think Ford got pissy at Jones snowboards over the explorer name, legal action etc etc)

    I just upgraded to the Mt. Twin from a Ride DH2 - looking for a more aggressive ride. I am surprised how flexible this board is, wondering if I should've gone for the ultra...

    • @AngrySnowboarder
      @AngrySnowboarder  4 года назад

      Ride has some things that make then rebound different, but the big thing is your DH2 was full camber and this is camrocker so what you're getting is a new flex point between the end of the inserts and the tip kick. Because it's built with this flex point in it, the nose/tail feels more flexible there. Ultra will be stiffer but more than anything you probably want something full camber.

      So I assume you're looking for an all mountain board. So what will happen with that 51 is you'll be over the weight limit which means the board will be softer and you'll flex it more. You'll be able to toss this thing around but it's going to suck when you drive into a carve and push off the tail to exit the turn. You'll also notice it won't be as stable. I'd re-order it.
