Pearl Pass Rd, Colorado - 2022

Dual Sport ride, Pearl Pass Rd. from Aspen, CO. September 2022. Halfway to the ridge, the road became impassable. Camera is onboard a 2021 KTM 690 Enduro R following a 1996 XR 600.

Been there, rode that! It gets quite rough once you get above the tree line. At the top there was a memorial with a Fat Tire Can with some guy's ashes in it, a nice final resting place I suppose.
The 690 sounds healthy. I have a Yosh can on my 701. Last time I rode that I was on a heavily modified DR-Z 400 with lots of engine and suspension work. The 701 is much better stock than the DR-Z ever could hope to be, but then I guess it should be!

Thats some banger trails with nasty rocks! Be sure to check out your intake after dusty rides and use phone camera with flash light to see deep into your intake. If its dusty you should mod your intake adding either some universal foam filter to perimeter of oem filter and/or adding very thin 3m rubber seal around plastic intake that squishes oem filter and creating better seal. Also use some grease under perimeter of oem filter lip.
