@@0HOON0 stock with some bigger tires and heavy duty skid plate. Toughest part of the trail was on the Aspen side. Had to negotiate ledges and boulders and it was wet. Wouldn’t want to come up that way although a couple jeeps made it. Not many people up there at all.
Enjoyed the video! I went up it last August in my 4Runner with 35s and a roof top tent. That one section where you mentioned is difficult, I think I got lucky on that one, went over it smoother than I thought it would. My buddy in his Land Cruiser who was ahead of me, he was leaning over to one side quite a bit and thought he was about to tip over.
Outstanding video, the best I’ve seen in Colorado. You camera work was fantastic, we where in Aspen at the time you made this. We are watching video after video of trails in Colorado as we are going to purchase a UTV soon, we rented a Jeep in Ouray and did Yankee boy BAsin and feel in love with the experience, thanks for the video can’t wait get to this trail, leaving Illinois in August
How was the road condition to Twin Lakes Trailhead? Doing a hunting trip there this fall and have a 23 GMC At4 1500. For sure not going over the pass in that but i have heard to twin lakes is doable. Thanks!
It’s a narrow single lane road, not many places to pull off if there’s oncoming traffic but doable in truck. A local 4wd club out of Crested Butte would give you a better idea of the current road conditions.
Great fun, Frank! I'm here in Colo, with two hardy Jeeps ('98 XJ, '10 WK Hemi), and love your excellent high-video, low-narration videos! One question: What dash cam, GoPro, or whatever are you using that outputs with coordinates, compass, altitude, date, time, etc. embedded in the video? It's fantastic! I would love to know & purchase.
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it! All dash cams have the GPS info embedded in the video file, you need to use telemetry extraction software that allows it to be overlaid onto the video file. I am using Thinkware U1000 dash cam. Action cams can have this telemetry data too, if they have a GPS chip. I use a GoPro Hero 9 which embed it but older models don’t (no chip). I use “Telemetry Overlay” to extract & display the GPS data.
One of my favorite videos! I love geeking out on info provided. Camera shots, still shots, maps, time spent from start to finish, everything. Great work. Thank you for sharing!
I’ve traversed 90% of Colorado trails from Holy Cross to Black Bear to Chinaman Gulch to T33. I’ve always wanted to complete Pearl Pass but it’s been closed for the season. One day. One day. 🥸
Just went over from CB to Aspen. 4-5 hrs. Bit of rain. Spectacular. 2018 4Runner Off Road handled it, not by much. Thanks for video!
You’re welcome.
Where did the 4Runner come close to its limits? Is it stock or modified?

Best video of the drive up Pearl Pass. BY FAR!!!! Perfect blend of video/pictures/narration/music. Continue the great work.
Thanks for the kind words! Glad you enjoyed it.
Wow, what a beautiful trail landscape and the views ♥️✨️🎶
Just did the trail yesterday, was amazing. Definitely a must if you are in CO.
Thank you for sharing!

Thanks! It’s a fun & scenic trail, glad you made it through.
Great video! I was feeling like a pro after driving up to the Sneffels FWD lot but this showed me that was child’s play.
Very nice. Thanks for posting.
Glad you liked it.
Nice video! I'll add Pearl Pass to the bucket list.
Thanks, glad you liked it.
Wow, beautiful! ❤

Thanks, glad you liked it. Have fun on the trail!
A full size Bronco traveled down this pass a blew 3 tires... Be careful!

Colorado is beautiful. How busy do these trails typically get?
The least amount of traffic on the weekdays, more on weekends and holidays. We encountered no one going over the pass.
@@gascanFILMS making my way out there soon. Thanks for sharing.
What an amazing trail! Love the music as well. Can a stock rubicon complete, you think?
A stock Rubicon should be able to handle it.
@@gascanFILMS thx!

Excellent video! What is the name of the music you used for the background?
I love it. Thank you!

Can you take a sxs down this trail? I'm getting conflicting answers, thanks!
Sorry, don’t know if it’s licensed vehicles only or not.
This looks like a road for my stock 1978 Cadillac Coupe de Ville!
That would be the Rubicon, and it's already been done 😊
Caddy friendly just run in 1st gear tho. 😂
Is pearl pass in British Columbia
Nope, Colorado USA
Read the description or view the first minutes of the video, is Aspen in BC?

God created mountains.
Man built cities.
No wonder we're such a mess😉
Lots of great views over those mountains.
The references in both corners are too distracting for me …
