Fuel rats came and fixed me up enough that I was able to get my shields up and armor above 5%. I was able to limp it back to port for a 750k credit repair and rearming fee.

Well m8, I personally use grade 5 high capacity because you want to fire as many missiles as you can, m8. And for experimental, I use drag munitions to slow the target down, m8. But if you're using the packhounds as main weapons and are hitting shielded targets, m8, then you should use a mix of overload munitions and thermal cascade to wreak havoc on a shielded ship m8. o7 m8
Do people just not use any hull reinforcements? Do they also like, just not know how to turn to face an opponent? I've seen a few videos where you are ramming condas and they just seem to take it and and turn slower than a ton of bricks. I've only got dirty thrusters 3 on mine and I can boost turn quite well.
its easy enough to boost turn into something that is maintaining a small distance, much harder to turn into something that is flying directly towards you on a tight orbit at all times

Because this thing moves like an apartment building. I need 4 pips to Engines to maintain permaboost, or else I won't be able to maneuver. In addition, I have about 120mj of shields, less than most small ships. 4 pips won't help much. And because they're undersize bi-weaves, they recharge from broken before the capacitor runs out on 2 pips. Adding any more pips won't do anything for me but add around 20mj to base strength, which doesn't matter when a single ram is strong enough to drop the shields anyway. Really, the only reason the shields are there is to slightly stagger the damage I take, and to keep me from scraping the airlock on my way in/out.
