Great video. Have the same issue with my 1976 era gunite pool for the home I just purchased. Been having a difficult time finding anyone that repairs these things.
Impressive job, sir! I came across this video as I was searching how winterized a pool. I'm glad I saw it, because I think we have a leak at the exact same level. The gravel around the skimmer is even cracked.
I started with a clogged line cleared it the next day pool loses 2 inches of water paid the contractor to pressure test and locate he did $150 I am at the point where you are, I will call a contractor to get an estimate too costly I will do it myself thank you for posting the video its good to see what I will have to rent concrete saw and for sure a jackhammer. lol

Great Video, this probably saved me from replacing the entire skimmer which I imagine would be an even larger job.
well done sir. Great DIY project.
Outstanding video got a quote for $26000.00 new lines.and skimmer will do it myself for under $100
Hmm seems like there is more to the story
$26000 or $2600?
Awesome Vid!! Exactly what I was looking for! Can't wait to repair my own skimmer line!!
Great video! Thanks! I'm suuuuper excited to do this job on my pool now.

Woah, v impressive with a jackhammer. What a hunk of a man!! Handy and attractive!!
Mom?
2:57 what was that machine?
Cool video, but should have replaced the whole skimmer. Hayward does not make those plastic skimmers to last forever.
What was the name of the pool shock from Walmart you mentioned that worked so well?
John P. Callan HTH

crush smith lol no!
Wait till you fix a skimmer that's completely buried in concrete
