- Stronghold Crusader 2 will come out in Q4 2013 and I need to be prepared for it,because of that I started to warm myself up and began to play Stronghold Crusader HD,wish me luck and don't forget to like and favorite this video.
Stronghold: Crusader is the successor to Firefly Studios's 2001 game Stronghold. Crusader has much in common with the original Stronghold, but differs from its predecessor in the fact that the game is no longer set in a pseudo-Europe, instead being set in the Middle East during the Crusades. The game features a multitude of new Arabian units that can be purchased in a new building, the mercenary post. Though the Arabian troops do not require any resources to produce, they are rather expensive. The game was also released as Stronghold Warchest. This version was a compendium of Stronghold and an enhanced version of Stronghold: Crusader, containing additional characters and an additional Crusader Trail.
Stronghold Crusader features several real-time strategy campaign strings. These document the First, Second and Third Crusade, as well as conflicts within the individual Crusader states. Each campaign comprises several battles, such as Nicaea, Heraclea, siege of Antioch, Krak des Chevaliers and the Siege of Jerusalem. The game also features the Crusader Trail, a series of 50 linked missions against various opponents. Stronghold Warchest adds one more Crusader Trail, consisting of 30 linked missions.

Wolf plays like a psycho on this map. Won't ever leave me alone, he just keeps coming and shooting with his stupid catapults.

I had to train about three hundred horse archers to surround his base and to destroy his houses, his church to reduce his popularity and made sure he doesn't have stone supplies, but surprisingly that dog had about 50000 gold!!
I had to make sure he doesn't have any engineers so I destroyed the engineers guild and put my Arabian swordsmen near the locations to which he might build something.
It was so lengthy! Almost took me about 3 hours.
Stronghold conceives my childhood memories. The most beautiful strategic game I have ever played on computer but I never passed out level 25. Today, I accidentally searched it out on RUclips and got it.. I'm satisfying myself of seeing this.. How could I express my feelings of joy when I saw them vanished on RUclips.. Thanks for giving us peace of mind ✌️😊
One thing you can do for this missions is to build stone walls on the other side of the river from your base. Add in a few towers and start to crank out archers. This will protect you from the siege weapons from the pig and wolf. Once the rat and snake are dead you will have access to plenty of land for crops and stone gathering. Forget gathering iron as the wolf will destroy any smelter you place before it pays for itself.

First time playing this mission now. Took me 10 hours to finish it lol. I had to restart it a couple times. I've found that in the beginning building a wall around your farms is essential because snake keeps burning them. North side is the most attacked, west side needs a tower ballista to destroy Wolf's constant catapults, east side needs little to no protection.
No idea why took me more than 5 hours :/
I've been stuck on this mission for who knows how long.
It's going to be a real challenge for me to repeat this strategy.
Let's complete this again to revive childhood's memories ✌️
I tried to rush Pig and Wolf with ~30 assassins at the beginning so the rest of this game is just about rat and snake.

Still a REALLY good game to play. Very strategic game and fun to play when you get the hang of it. After 3 years, still didn't finish it.

Most critical move of whole mission is at 39:58. Without those archers your life is hell. Thanks Sergiu!
If you still stuck at this mission, there's a hint: place the smallest tower near the upper ford, and put 10 european archers and 10 crossbowmen on it. Rat and Snake will trouble you no more

It took me three hours to finish by myself. Never thought somebody would have uploaded it to RUclips. It helped me a lot to learn some new strategies to beat it in less than three hours xd
LOLL Same story for me i take 3 hours for it , but my opponent dig himself in with water. And i didnt know how to dig it. So at the end it was engeneers to dig the water :D
But I never check walkthrought just checking why i take goddamn 3 hours :D

Actually i finished this by creating a moat maze, since the enemy wont dig the moat up unless there is no way into your island. Several towers + moat maze = lots of dead slowass swordsmen.

Haha, "maulay" in arabic means "my lord"
I was playing this game since I was a kid, back then, I had no idea what english is. I enjoyed playing, eventhough I didn't understand anything. And I basically called the Arabian Swordsmen maulays as I couldn't read english. :)
I restarted like 5 times to refine my start and it was so satisfying to level wolf's entire castle. Most intense mission from all 25 so far
Ridiculously hard mission when compared to the previous and next missions. Lack of resources and starting goods makes this map total hell. If you try to control the middle resources early, Rat and Snakes are crazy aggressive early on especially Snake's damned slaves crippling your econs, and if you just bunker up and defend against those 2, Wolf will just send his assault force if you leave him be
Bread and beer production + high taxes works wonders on this map, no stone/iron needed through the whole game. Just need to wall your farms early, so that Snake can't burn them.
I love how when you say wheat it sounds like you said wet :D
Found an easy fix... 2 square towers instead of a tall one. Mount ballistas on them and catapult problem is fixed forever.
Your answer is 4 years old BUT STILL: this was the hint I needed! This mission almost drove me crazy, I finally finished it after more than 3 hours! That mission sure was a pain in the ass. Thanks a lot buddy

Took me 3/4 hours to beat them the way you did, and loads of saving and

Nice settlement by the end of the video! I was slow to beat this mission. Key to defeating the Wolf was to take out his stone quarry and barracks on the western side of the map. Then I destroyed the two western gatehouses with pikemen and went to town on the Wolf. This invasion took place right after he emptied his castle in an attempt to siege me so his keep was relatively under-manned. Otherwise, whew, it's tough dealing with his unending troops.
I didn't bother going for the stone or iron mines since they were going to be incinerated by Snake's fire slaves. I beat this mission fairly easily with three well placed towers with crossbowmen in them, closing off the paths into my zone using stone walls, and I made money slowly but surely by making tons of bread and selling it. I also had the +8 ale bonus and taxes for the mission.
Great to watch this game again.
My complaint just why were you built everything in 'front', while your rear is quite large and safe.
Typically my army is overkill

im so frustrated on this mission so much that i resorted to use ox tether exploit to block of the enemy gate
it gave me enough time to build up an army before AIs started to destroy their gatekeep and resume their play

I have came back to this game after like 10 years and struggling with this mission (which I completed before) 😎😎😎😭
10 years later, I fought all missions once again. And struck on this stronghold today, Changing offence techniques one by one. Today I will try with 100 horseman and assasins..
I was able to beat this mission thanks to your beginning strategy... I had to restart several times though due to an aggressive Pig... Also, the final attempt took 3 hours... Thanks though!!
Insane wolf's catapult!!!! I use horse swordmans to destroy them, but the number of them is infinity

My only problem was the pig and wolf, every time I go attack any of the enemy, and I already put a tower between me and the pig, either pig or wolf attacks me, I go attack snake or or rat, pig is ready to attack me, and when I attack him, the wolf starts attacking me as well, and I use the tactic of selling my flour and bread because I’m making a lot of those, and it was doing well, it’s just these two allies, they keep getting me cornered, and at one point, they’ll start blasting their catapults to me, THATS the most annoying thing
them square towers come in handy on this one big time..

Make an Ale Coverage will make your economy more better in this mission since it get max 8% on popularity, so you can push more harder on tax. Just replace your 2 wheat farm to Ale, it is enough

i build massive production of beer and shit until i could to the highest taxes possible, i did the mission without stone, i just bought it time after time.., else i didnt see a chance to win this

I just played this map and beat them all, get a square tower near to stone and iron, get some crossbow men with the little gold you got at first and put them in there, every attack from the wolf will be rejected.

it took me a bit less than 3 hours to beat this lol,i used -8 taxes and +8 food to gain gold
300 Horse Archers + 300 Shields would've saved you so much time
where did you get the money to sign 300 horse archers? the stone mining is really hard to take over...

and cyborge08 You don't need that much. To be 100% sure you can win this, you shoukd make 25 Crossbowmen,25 Swordsmen, 25 Catapults, 15 Ballistas and 50 Portable Shields, just to be 160% sure that you can win. With this army you can defeat 7 AI opponents one after another. :)
SergiuHellDragoonHQ cooleeoblue I defeated this mission by selling bread and apples while taxing them just a bit. I defended the same way he did but once I got enough money, I'd buy horse archers and portable shields. It took a while for me to finish this one. This one is really challenging. It took me a few times to beat it.
cyborge08 Some mission required me a second try as well. As long as you can figure out how to defend your ass, this mission is as good as won, it's just a matter of time. :)

If you are fast enough you can put 5 archers in the tower. But you can always put 5 more inside and it stops when the first 5 archers are in the tower
You pick and send 5, then you pick and send another 5 while the other 5 are still moving to the tower. It's an old trick.
