I doubt that you will answer on my comment...just wanted to say...when I was kid...stronghold was my fav game. But i was too young to see or get the point. Now...allmost 15 years later i started playing again and your missions helped me a lot...om on this mission now. Thank you and greetings from Serbia. I wanted to talk with you about my tactics in siege....i wait some time and make horse archers more than 250 units...more interesting
I'm not saying this mission is easy but it could've been much harder if Lionheart wasn't "bugged". There are several missions where the opponent can't build a certain essential building because of his placement on the map. Here, Lionheart can't build a market because he is in the corner and his castle design would probably require building market off boundaries. I love this game but this is probably my biggest problem with it. You see, every opponent has a pre-set plan of building his castle and he won't ever place a certain building an inch further, even if it is truly essential (except for farms, quarries, iron mines etc.). So because of this glitch, Lionheart was harmless, he only sent one attack without any armored units and was only annoying in the beggining with his catapults. When I was finishing him, his armory was 100% full of pikes which means he couldn't train any soldiers since he had no market, lol (pikemen require pike and armor, but his armory was full of pikes and absolutely no armor, therefore he couldn't train any pikemen and his weapon production halted because armory was full, so he couldn't place any bows or anything else, therefore he couldn't train a single soldier, since he had no way to free some space in the armory without any market to sell the spare weapons, haha)
Yeah, I really hope that if they make a Crusader definitive edition like the Stronghold 1 they're making now, that they fix things like this. A lot of missions have problems like this.
Lol, 'By all that's holy, you fight well, too well, I fear'. Yaaaass, not only well, but also fair and square. Your solutions are elegant and I would'nt have finished this (and others) without your help. Thanks Sergiu, you are the best.
I beat this fairly easily by buying fifteen or twenty macemen right at the beginning and rushing the Sultan and then the Rat before they could do much of anything. With them out of the way, you can seize the iron mines for yourself and you also get 1000 gold from the victories to start building up your castle and its defenses. I coasted on the iron and used that to start buying wheat and hops, and I also had weapons production going fairly early to start creating towers.
this mission was a horror show really back in the day i knew some glitches that would help me out a lot but no glitches could help me out with this one it really was a nightmare 😱
This mission is pretty fun. i build 2 early towers facing on snake and abdul filled with archers and balistaes while buying few macemens to rush the sultan alongside with the starting spearmens. as long as his pesky fire throwers are dead and his merc camp is gone, he wont be able to defend himself anymore. got a bit unlucky with my attacks that my macemen are dead while his lord has like 10% hp so i just send my own lord to duel him to death lol. after killing those pesky neighboring lords, this mission is a breeze. the abundant source of irons pretty much secure your economy. buy your own ale and foods on half rations with 4 different foods so its only -1 penalty with 2 bad fear factor to build your iron empire
To suppress Snake you don't need the big square tower (40 stones). It is enough to put two look out towers (25 stones) between Snake and Richard. It blocks not only Snake, but also Richard forever. OK you can't use shields there, but you can put more crossbowmen or even archers.
I used the Jeffelonious method of two Defense Towers- one to spray Rat and Sultan and the other to spray Snake. Had to use my Lord to ward off Sultan's few swordsmen, but otherwise those three lords were sitting ducks (just had to get the woodcutters and iron mines producing enough). Buy ale, no food (until later, I did build wheat/hops/apple farms). Neither Pig, Saladin or Richard sent out big siege forces (limitations of the AI; they can't adapt like we can). Oh, I did add a square tower as Sergiu did to protect iron mines from Pig and Saladin harassment squads. Richard only sent out catapults cos I guess he wasn't able to build a marketplace on this map?
also when you buy food dont get from diferent kinds because it runs out quicker, buy just one, it helps to buy diferent kinds when you want to raise the popularity. those shields though helped me a lot
This mission is actually easy, just mace rush them all. For quick gold use the iron mines near you and if you want to be popular instead of food use ale
Wow when i playeed i made sum shields and crossbowmans and rushed everyone then i get gold from them buy more troops and also increase iron production i beat it this mission in 20min
I know this is ancient video but i cant understand when the blue king went into your tower, why you didnt buy three arabian swordsmen and didnt murdered him right there, easy trap, he comes out and bam, no units lost...
playing with the popularity of the people helps a lot because after a while you dont even feed them, they pay you great taxes and you still have "people coming to the castle" also after doing that you can delete all your bakery buildings and sell flour instead of bread to get more money that way you are unstable at first but after a while you get your economy rise quicker

Horse archers are boring 😂

Big agree; AI and map limitations hinder the potential of a lot of maps on this game.
😂😂
4 types of food = +4 popularity = half rations :)
_i think you mean +3, you still have +1 from no taxes lol_
The good thing about this mission is that they placed easy AIs near you than the difficult ones
Yeah this mission is pretty appropriately named.
Lol, 'By all that's holy, you fight well, too well, I fear'. Yaaaass, not only well, but also fair and square. Your solutions are elegant and I would'nt have finished this (and others) without your help. Thanks Sergiu, you are the best.
Wow. When I played this mission I rushed the 3 enemies around me with macemen. Very impressive with the tower placement.

Hahahahha Lord strikes again 18:20
this mission was a horror show really
back in the day i knew some glitches that would help me out a lot but no glitches could help me out with this one it really was a nightmare 😱
17:11 you could just have the enemy lord trapped on that tower and left him for later
LMAO GENIUS
but he probably wouldn’t be able to delete the stairs since the enemy is too close.
"i am the greatest lord, can you believe it?"
yes i can my friend.
16:48 bro

I sent my spearman to attack rats army camp and he never built it again

Thank god they had the same low amount of gold as you.
also when you buy food dont get from diferent kinds because it runs out quicker, buy just one, it helps to buy diferent kinds when you want to raise the popularity.
those shields though helped me a lot
Not yet :)
you can try to build inns and buy ale instead of food, it takes less time and gold i think
How is he gonna get the ale
You really don't need that many shields.
Have you uploaded any skirmish missions?
This would have gone way faster if you had moved your stockpile closer to the iron/wood at the start
I once killed a lord with a manganel stone 😂
How long did it take?
This mission is actually easy, just mace rush them all. For quick gold use the iron mines near you and if you want to be popular instead of food use ale
use GATE INSTEAD OF STAIRS
epic
Wow when i playeed i made sum shields and crossbowmans and rushed everyone then i get gold from them buy more troops and also increase iron production i beat it this mission in 20min
how do you do the low speed thing?
settings >game speed
or just + and - keys on your keyboard
good

XD Snake lord is really a joke

This is a problem for me

+JakeTheSnake843 I did the same thing and I finished the mission in about 25 mins.
Maybe next time, demolish your stairs to your tower. lol
