- Stronghold Crusader 2 will come out in Q4 2013 and I need to be prepared for it,because of that I started to warm myself up and began to play Stronghold Crusader HD,wish me luck and don't forget to like and favorite this video.
Stronghold: Crusader is the successor to Firefly Studios's 2001 game Stronghold. Crusader has much in common with the original Stronghold, but differs from its predecessor in the fact that the game is no longer set in a pseudo-Europe, instead being set in the Middle East during the Crusades. The game features a multitude of new Arabian units that can be purchased in a new building, the mercenary post. Though the Arabian troops do not require any resources to produce, they are rather expensive. The game was also released as Stronghold Warchest. This version was a compendium of Stronghold and an enhanced version of Stronghold: Crusader, containing additional characters and an additional Crusader Trail.
Stronghold Crusader features several real-time strategy campaign strings. These document the First, Second and Third Crusade, as well as conflicts within the individual Crusader states. Each campaign comprises several battles, such as Nicaea, Heraclea, siege of Antioch, Krak des Chevaliers and the Siege of Jerusalem. The game also features the Crusader Trail, a series of 50 linked missions against various opponents. Stronghold Warchest adds one more Crusader Trail, consisting of 30 linked missions.

there's nothing more annoying than hearing the sound of a catapult early in the game

Nice win! This mission gave me the most trouble out of all 50 episodes. I hated not having ballista.
About 5 minutes before destroying pig, which was my last opponent, my game crashed. I had to start over.

I messed up this mission so bad, I won, but it was an embarrassment. I tried to take out the first lionheart for some quick gold so I made 30 swordsmen to back up my 20 crossbowmen. This left my flank exposed. Not only did I not cripple him enough to kill him and lose 30 swordsmen. I lost my grannary with my starting food and most of my starting buildings. I was stuck trying to take back my base against pig and caliph for like 10 minutes. I lost all my advantages, and was stuck trying to revive my economy with woodcutters huts as part of a defense/economic strategy.... Things were very dicey... I'm surprised I survived all said...
You do know there is a Restart mission option right?

Hey Tobi.With the HD patch you have access to different rezolutions,as you can see in my video,my rezolution is 1920x1080 but if you watch videos made by other players,that doesn't have the HD patch,their in game rezolution will be 1200x1080 or something similar.

Yeah this one is pretty hard. But i REALLY REALLY hated mission 41. Thunder Hill.
Rush lionheart with maceman in 41 and kill him.. 40 are enough
I just finished this mission. And oh boy, I’ve never been more joyful after completing a mission. (I won the game with the traditonal tactic: smart tower placement and relying on ballista’s. This mission took me ages to finish)
I make progress because of his vids... :)
48, 49 and 50 are the toughest. The restrictions -- no ale; no bows/arrows; no ballistas, shields and trebuchet; no moats; and no knights make it extremely challenging.
Thunder hill is the hardest.
There are arrows you just have to live off market.

Bit of a harrowing mission. Another one where the keeps being close didn't hurt the AI but offered a challenging experience. To my shame I must admit I rushed the Blue Richard with macemen, but still almost didn't make it cos of Caliph/Pig's catapults. Not sure why the game chose now to limit the buildings and siege equipment we can make.
Oh Sorry ;) you said it after i wrote this , that it isn't allowed to build shields :)

No slow mode needed, started mass iron production asap, made 70-ish horse archers and made the first Richard defenseless. Left one horse archer at his gate so his economy fell asleep and then burned him down. Used all the money from iron and stone to make more horse archers and moved them back and forth between Richard's castle and mine. They destroyed pigs maces, crossbows and early catapults as well as all of North-East Richard's and Caliph's troops. Then proceeded to destroy Caliph with a single tower with a mangonel and 30 arabian archers. Kept making more horse archers and some assassins and took out Caliph and second Richard. Pig's base was already completely destroyed by my 2 mangonels at that point. As long as you find a suitable strategy for you to have a good start you'll be golden. Lots of different tactics out there, just have to find your own

Which differences of the 1.2 and 1.3 Versions are there ? Sorry , i am from Germany and can't speak perfectly english . But i always enjoy your Videos
Aint a difficult mission but very tedious and lengthy because of the lack of resources. Rushed lionheart to the north with macemens and starts amassing towers. Early game feels quite rough because they will all attack you with their 10k gold at once. Since the game doesnt allow you to build balistae and trebuchets, what i do is just spam mangonels (about 8) on towers and starts bombing both caliph and pig, since our base is close enough for the range to hit. after that send asassins to finish the job.
Northeast lionheart will siege occasionally but a few crossbowmen and archers will take care of that. Problem is that the NE lionheart got free resource for the whole game and sieging him is quote hard with the lack of gold and tech tree for the engineers. what i do is just put the game on 80 and starts amassing horse archers
1. Rushed PIG with ass 40+-Assassin killed him. went back to base. Build catapults, attack richards towers. all archers to the tower next to caliph and then stone and iron economy after richard death and bread economy. Caliph was weak because of manginel attacks from tower. The REST is history. Oh and i had almost zero walls. only towers. so i didint spend my stone only to get destroyd by enemies catapults.
well. build much tower with mangonel to rush that caliph and pig.

You can download this for free in gog games version or search it with your preferred search engine. You can buy it at steam. I'd lucky, that I had bought the bundle edition (stronghold, stronghold crusader, stronghold 2, and stronghold legends)

There is a + and - button on your keyboard. Press each depending on what you want. I don't know how to assign teams, please help.
In the game on the screen there’s a key 🔑 click on that a small window opens then click on “option “ and then “ game play option “ there you can change the speed of the game .

You can simply burn the blue lionheart's buildings using slaves before he's attacking, so he cannot recruit units as the people are burned
Anyway, I'd cheated this mission because it's too hard. I cheated it by swapping the map file (use another map file then rename it to the mission's map name)
probably one of the easiest missions in the crusader trail, even mission 10 is harder than this one
You are gonna tell me how you find this 1 easy. I mean, no ballistas NO BALLISTAS
build 3 squares, fill them with archers asap and gg start collecting money, build 200 slave packs and keep burning them...
im not saying its short mission, its terribly long and exhausting, yet when u fill towers with archers you just slowly take them apart, one by one, piece by piece
