I mean you can bend the axle, and they don't recommend chips anymore due to speed sensors and tone ring misalignment.
Alot of cars know don't specify a rear camber and toe adjustment. The machine won't even show you when it is. If your thrust angle is way off, you have to inspect for damaged components. Always check your SAI and cross SAI. If it's out of spec. That when you need to inspect for damage.
@dewilliams2012 If you're using a modern hunter machine you should be putting targets on back, and it will give Camber and toe regardless of if it can be adjusted. It's just gray on the bar graph screen.

That's how a toe set is done. Not a complete alignment, but good procedure I've lost count of the techs I've seen do a caster sweep without the pedal depressor in place.
I would say that is a complete alignment. Not all cars have anything more then toe adjustments. And like this car not much more then front toe at that. Yes you could shim it but I aint doing that for free. Will you? And most cars if it's off and there is no adjustment usually means something is bent or a bushing is bad or ball joint is toast
@@JoeMamasLover69 this car will also have adjustable camber at the front struts. Rear toe can be adjusted by full contact shims depending on wheel bearing mounting. Front caster will normally have a little bit of adjustment at the upper strut mount and there may be a possibility of a cradle shift to get both camber and caster adjustments also depending on the mounting of the steering/suspension components.
I’m a tech and still kick my own ass every now and again when I forget to compress the pedal
with that alignment machine it will detect if you don't have the pedal depressed when doing a caster sweep and won't let you until you do
@@bentleynorton6843 you don’t necessarily need to use the depressor, it will sense if the wheel is moving and tell you but on must trucks with caster set ~2.75 you don’t need it and I’ve tested with and without the depressor and there’s no difference

As long as you keep a reasonable knowledge of your car maintenance, you'll be fine. I do agree that they shouldn't but you can't help that, but you can stay knowledgeable.

They don’t have camber or toe on the rear with solid beam axles unless you want to mess around shimming the hubs and mounts
the front has toe but no camber or caster adjustment only toe on this model.

I just use 4 jack stands, string and a measuring tape.
And then you replace your tires every 4 months too. And then subsequently take the vehicle to someone who can actually align it.

That was also the easiest possible alighnment to do no subframe shifting, spot weld drilling or strut tower slotting just a toe and go

@@maxti2407 в данном случае всё в допуске, а вот то что этот профи тягу без упора вторым ключом раскручивал, тем самым повреждая шаровую, вот это косяк.

That rear solid axle does have adjustment. Just as easy. They make shims to shim the bearing to align it

don't forget to reset the steering angle sensor if it has one.
4 buckets, two pieces of rope. Start from the back and align the front wheels to the rear wheels. Losen the tierods and adjust. 10 minutes and I'm done. 🤙🏼💪🏽
10 minutes is if you have a lift, great tools, no rust, and high on Adderall
@@LawnWrangler323 no. Not really. Placed the two front wheels on top of plastic bags to reduce friction. Aligned the rear to the front wheels. And worked on the arms. And I know it sounds crazy, but that's how I did it. And went to a professional shop to verify and for my surprise, it was less than .5 off . They told me it was perfect. I didn't needed to get it Aligned.
Just use a tape measure. Measure front axle tyre on front and backside against the opposite front axle tyre difference 1mm towards on front.
Drive car to see what side it wants to go to, then in your mind think of whqt wheel to adjust.
Thats the way we did it before we had the hunter allignement. Best buy ever for the shop 😅

All you did was set the toe so its (good to go) you didnt adjust anything else, the camber was out by .5° on the right front and the caster was out by .4° on both sides. Granted the toe might be right but the car is still going to scrub the tires going down the road and it will still have a small pull to the right. All it takes it a little bit of extra time to get those adjustments with a better spec. Do the job right or don't do it at all.

Плохой мастер. Сначало осматривается ходовая может там смысла нет в регулировки колес а с клиента деньги возьмете за просто так плюс потом еще и переделаете по гарантии через час, дальше если всё в ходовой хорошо то выравнивается давление одинаковое во всех колёсах, дальше срываются контрирующие гайки двумя ключами держа за наконечник чтоб шарувую не мучить или не вырвать , открутив прокрутить тягу на 360 чтоб исключить что она не гнута и гайку немного подтянуть . Ну а дальше всё верно прокатка, кастер и сама регулировка.

I wish the alignment shops where I live were this fast accurate. Everytime I get an alignment there’s always a pull to either left or right. And I got a brand new truck. I wish I had the money to start my own shop where it’s be very accurate alignment and I wouldn’t rip people off
Dude, this is a 2021 Chevrolet Trax, it didnt even need alignment, its too new, try alignment in a 2010 car its a mess.

You know you can sometimes get adjustments out of rear axles by moving the sub frame
Those caster sweeps sometimes knock sensors off of the larger 20”+ wheels when I’m doing alignments. It’s a great set up from hunter, and we also have a notch at the preferred lift height, too !
