I’m obsessed with you new color work sweater! It’s absolutely amazing and I love that you had the challenge of not enough the main color. The challenge probably made the sweater that much more beautiful. ❤️
Thank you so much! I was actually just going to make a monotone sweater with the brown if I could find enough and never even would've considered a colorwork sweater otherwise. So I'm glad something good came out of not having enough yarn ☺
Love your color work design! Don’t be afraid to steek if you are using non superwash yarn. Make a swatch and cut it. You will see it doesn’t unravel. With wear it will felt at the edges making it very strong. There are many tutorials how to further secure with a crochet chain. No sewing machine needed. To appeal to your researcher mind, spend an afternoon playing with steeking techniques. One swatch can be cut several times for practice.
I really like the colorwork sweater and the yarn sub-ins you made to finish the sleeve. Because of the patterning and the location, my guess is that no one will ever notice it unless you point it out.
Comment part 2: I am currently knitting a bday gift for a friend. The Ponytail Possibilities Hat by Judy Murgia. She always has her hair in a ponytail and this gives options for ponytail placement. Also, it is a quick knit.
I love making headbands and earwarmers for gift knits because they're so fast to make (and use up those pesky leftover skein bits). I'm sure your friend will love it!
Thank you so much! I still haven't decided on a name for that sweater - but I think since I'm really hoping to wear it at the Lyngen Alps that might play into the name somehow. It is finished now and I'll be posting a tester call on the channel in one of the coming videos :)
Hi ! Do learn how to steek! I only learned it last year and it was so thrilling!! And this is the very best video for it (only 15 minutes): Knitting with Suzanne Bryan ruclips.net/video/Ln-retrG2Zw/видео.html

I watched the second half of this podcast right now and what can I say? Amazing projects and I hope I could knit my version of Maryland 🤗🤗🤗
I'm so excited to have you onboard for the testknit! Can't wait to see the colors you choose :)
The Maryland Heights sweater looks gorgeous. I want to do it in shades of grey and purple with contrasting yellow.
That sounds so beautiful!! I can't wait to see it :)
@@TheStrikkechick I hope I get to do it soon :)

Thanks so much! I was very fortunate to have leftover stash yarn that matched so perfectly.

You never mentioned the name of the white sweater with the variegated mohair. I love that design!
