OMG Samantha I am flying through the Maryland Heights design and it is such a joy to test-knit so far. Intricate colorwork but easy to follow, beautiful details. And now I just jumped up and pulled out the yarn I want to turn into the Lyngen...and sit underneath a pile of yarn like a bit of an idiot :) Good choice for the stuffed animals to use acrylic, the unicorn is so sweet and the acrylic will allow it to withstand many adventures.
I'm so glad you want to knit Lyngen too! And that you're enjoying Maryland Heights. I absolutely love the colors you've chosen and can't wait to see your choice for Lyngen ☺
Samantha, the stuffed toys are amazing! ❤ I think they will be cherished forever by your niece and nephew. They are so lucky! On a separate subject, you don’t need to stress about steeking. I know you’re probably done with the sweater by now. 😊 I am not nearly the knitter that you are and I have never had an issue with steeking. First of all, you sew the your knitted fabric to stabilize it (I go over a couple times), secondly, if you think about the properties of wool, especially non-super wash, it sticks together naturally. Overtime, your seams will actually felt themselves together so that’s in addition to the sewing reinforcement. I definitely use a sewing machine though, I like that security. I’ve even steeked super wash wool sweaters. I have hand-me-down steeked sweaters from the 50s and 60s and none of them show any signs of wear at the steeked areas. Thanks for another great episode! I can’t wait to see photos of you skating on the glacier lake in the Lyngen alps! ❄️🏔⛸❤
I'm actually almost at the armholes, so it's soon decision time 😄I'll report back on whether I was brave enough! Skating in the Lyngen Alps was an absolute dream and I'm going to share a short video at the end of my next podcast!

You are an amazing knitter and designer.
Thank you so much Jackie!
Love the chevron pattern on your sweater design! Your designs are always so carefully thought out.
Thank you so much! Testers are working on it now and their versions look so incredible ☺
