I very nearly bought one. Ended up settling for an ES330 of the same year because it was cheaper. I always wished I saved up the extra 1’300 for this model. The ES was very reliable and incredibly well on gas, but it felt like an old man car in comparison. I ended up trading it in for an 04 king cab Tacoma. I really enjoy the Taco, but I still just might trade it in for one of these if I can find the right deal.
My '05 IS 5sp.has been totally reliable.298k and the original clutch,10k ago the original Denso alternator started to fail,in 10years (bought it@60k miles)other than a wheel bearing and over time 3 o2 sensors its been perfect.Next a '08-12 IS-F.
This car is the best I have 2 and I love them 2jz ge not the fastest but strong and reliable this car is just a clean classic in my opinion! I’m trying to get a yellow one before all this kids start to Modify them. I have nothing against modifications just that I like original style stock for me! Lexus and Toyota just the best!
@@danielbell4007 just had my alternator replaced and it cost me 700. Big stuff not cheap but regular maintenance isn’t too bad. They don’t break which is nice
Anthony Perez bro keep it stock man less of a headache buy the 2009 lexus isF man that’s what I’m doing v8 no need to modify them for speed. Just my 5cents brother!
Im a but classic car and truck guy (muscle & jdm) but these is300’s (2001-2005) are one of the cars that i would love to get my hands on it just calls my attention

I have a 2003 is300 5spd owned since 2006. It has never let me down once. Amazing car

Zach I would say gas mileage is the only downsides as a daily. If that is your main concern, I Would pass. Great car otherwise.

I think that a manual version exists, but it’s really rare
I know the altezza version had it but the is 200 didnt have it i think they added it to the is300 not to sure

If you want this function get 02 or newer, o1 had the buttons but the feature had no function. Just for looks
