I live in Novosibirsk too. To tell the truth, I didn't use to like eating SALO, but now when I' m in my early 60s, I realised that doctors'recommendations about salo are worth keeping to. Salo boosts immunity and has positive choleretic effect. Btw, I' m slim . 🌷⚘🌷

Novosibirsk has the best experimental sewage treatment plants, which were invented and made in Akademgorodok. You can drink tap water without fear. These treatment plants also migrated to St. Petersburg and Moscow. In other cities, it's really better not to drink tap water.

Yes, we have a version of that way of eating eggs. It is called sha-shu-ka. I have binged watched a lot of your very educational videos. We Americans do not realize how much Russian people have access to. And in Siberia of all places! We are led to believe that Siberia is the land of cold and freezing weather!
For the commentary below: In America, people who speak english only also, often have an accent. There are noticeable regional differences in spoken english. The New England states, the Mid Atlantic states, Southern states, The South Eastern states, the Appalachian Mountains, the Mid West, and all the other regions of the USA have a more or less pronounced American eglish accent. However "standard" spoken english may have been learned by the masses due to the ubiquitousness of various media outlets such as radio, television, movies, and educational institutions including elementary schools.
Never had eggs quite like that but I do like an omelet. I also like stuffed peppers as well. Try putting some cheddar cheese on your eggs and see how you like it. 😊

I am catching up with the earlier videos. I've not tried that dish before,I might give it a try. I sometimes do an onion and cheese toastie (cheese and onion between two pieces of bread and fried with butter on the outside of the bread.+ Salt. and pepper.

Your knife is not sharp because you are cutting on a glass surface. It blunts the knife at lightning speed. Only wooden cutting boards should be used so as not to blunt the knives quickly.

I've been told that it was safe to drink most Russian tap water.
Unless you are near old mines or Navy ports.
You can drink it.. but it’s just better to filter it
