Sister, you haven't cut or prepared anything wrong! You are just doing things a little differently which have been right for you and your family! I don't care who it is whether it's your mother or not don't allow anyone to make you feel badly because you have adapted your way of life to be what works best for y'all!
When I worked in a grocery store in Oslo, I went through all the egg cartons. Looking for broken eggs. All the remaining eggs went into the waffle batter. In also went all the dairy wich was getting close to the "best before" date.... Those über rich waffles were very popular ! L❤ve from Norway 😊
Foods look awesome, we have stuffed peppers in Hungary as well. One suggestion for the stuffed pepper liquid; when you put sour cream to hot liquid it will curdle, so we use heat compensation, which means in a bowl you mix sour cream and hot liquid from the pot, then you pour it back in the pot. Therefore it will not curdle. Give it a try! Love your channel! 😊
Today, I cooked your (your mom's) recipe for Borsch. I'd never tasted Borsch before except from a jar sold by U.S. grocers. Your recipe was fantastic--will be my new favorite soup this coming winter here in Upstate New York. Thank you and your mom. Please convey to her my best wishes--she's probably about my age. Much love from USA!
I felt this in my soul!!! Whenever I'd 'help' my mom with meal prep, she'd wait for me to start doing it my way and then she'd pointedly say "I don't cut radishes like that" etc... lol
Im 67 years old and my husband is 76. i love watching about others' cultures! We love fresh homemade cooking, and we make stuffed peppers too. It's getting chilly here, so we make lots of soups. Hello to you from Midwest USA ❤
Hello Midwest USA! Florida here but my mother and I will be moving back to Michigan, where we were both raised, as soon as we sell the house. Can't wait to get back to the woods. Hope you and your hubby are well!
your mom is such an adorable lady, my Arab culture we also have stuffed peppers, stuffed onions, stuffed zucchini, eggplant, grape leaves (we stuff everything) haha. the syrniki I think I will try, thank you for sharing the recipes.
My daughter in law is from Georgia. Her mother is Ryssian. She introduced us to borscht. It is our grandson's favorite.I love it too and we eat it with sour cream.😊
Hi from England. Thanks for sharing your next update, it is really interesting seeing different ways of life and also all of the things that Novosibirsk has to offer. Some of the produce in the markets looks amazing! The meals that you made look amazing, mums make the best food! You seem happier as your videos have continued. It will be interesting to see other areas of the city and shops over time as well. I hope you and the boys have a brilliant day!
Hello from Canada.Thank you for sharing this precious family moment. My family is originally from Russia and this was just like going home to my parents for dinner. My father was a great cook and taught me to make borscht and stuffed peppers as well as cabbage rolls. My mother was also very good in the kitchen and she would make the vereniki, piroshki and kartoshnik as well as fruit pies.
in the 1970's i had a russian pen friend and i visited her a few times. i have to say, there is nothing nicer than a tiny but cozy russian kitchen in one of those old grotty soviet blocks with mama by the stove cooking a russian dish and children sitting at the table eating mishka konfetki. nice memories. spasibo za video !
I so enjoy watching you in Russia and your way of Life the food you are able to buy is mind blowing and so affordable food is three to times to four times the prices your family is paying. Many elderly people in America are going without food and necessary needs sadly
Да. У меня на канале видео я в Сибири на 21 этаже. Продукты в России в 3 раза дешевле, а многие медицинские услуги бесплатные. Деду сделали операцию на сердце бесплатно, страховка пенсионерами не платится.
Nice knowing you my dearest lovely Nastya. I'm Sofia Lee from Malaysia. I am really happy to have you explore the real life in Russia. Keep going and hear more stories from you in future.
Love your videos! I am an Irish/Polish girl from the USA. I grew up eating borscht and stuffed peppers! Our borscht is similar but just a little chunkier. I am the person who makes the borscht for everyone now like my grandmother did. My grandmother was Irish but she married my grandfather who was Polish. My great grandparents did not speak English so my grandmother learned to speak Polish and read:write it as well. She translated for my great grandparents all the time. I learned how to make borscht from my Irish grandmother!! It’s probably my favorite soup! I just ordered 50 pounds of beets to can and of course make borscht for everyone! Does your family do any canning with the produce from your grandmothers garden?
We don't have stuffed peppers in Poland, paprikas just werent much on the polish menu for some case, maybe we didn't grow them historically. But borsht yes, in various variations:)
I agree with your mom on the rice. I don't precook mine either. The meat stays together better if you allow the rice to cook with the meat. Everything looks delicious! Keep practicing and pay attention to what your mom says. I can tell she is a great cook.
Thank you for sharing your life with us, i admire your courage. Your mum is adorable, I miss my mum, she has alzheimers and doesnt know me now which is hard so enjoy time with your mum whilst you can, memories like this are priceless. Love from the UK.😊
Love your videos. This one nearly made me cry. I know you missed your mother when you lived away, but her scoldings are precious. Please cherish them- along with her recipes! 💕
I’m from Canada when I cook stuffed peppers I do same way except I put tomato sauce on them and I bake them for a couple hours in the oven. Soo delicious

I saw mama give her a little side eye when she was peeling the taters. But, the bowl in front of the camera made me laugh out loud 😂😂😂. I was calling the pepper 🫑🌶️ tops hats too. I was surprised when she did it too😊
It all looks delicious!! My Fathers side of the family is from Hungary and this is similar foods to what we would eat when my Aunt Anne cooked dinner for big family meals. She also served Chicken paprikash along with other foods. There was always so much to choose from. Thank your Mother for sharing with us how she cooks💖
I am Polish and made barszcz few times but i think your mum wouldn't be happy with my cooking either!!! Now i know the proper way how to peel, chop and cook and cook the soup 😂❤️

Loved this video and it's inspired me to try and make this dish. My mother is the daughter of Polish immigrants and my grandmother made a delicious Borscht.
Those stuffed peppers are the most beautiful I've ever seen! The taste, I'm sure, is succulent-- great fall comfort foods! Ur mom cooks with great care and is clearly well experienced and a perfectionist (just like ur videos). She sets the bar high, so thank you for this wonderful video! 🥰
You and your mom are adorable together. The look on her face at 8:22, and the look on your face at 9:31 were both priceless. Such a special video - thank you (and mom!) for sharing this with us.
Everything looks absolutely delicious! Your mother is obviously a wonderful cook with her own ideas of how things should be done - just like mine was! I'd eat it all!
I love watching people cook. I loved watching my Grandmother when she was alive. He place always smelled so good. I would love to just sit and chat with you and your Mom over coffee or tea. I am in the US so I know that isn't possible because I can't travel. We all have so so so many things in common. I love accents... yours is relaxing. I have loved stuffed peppers since I was a child. I turn 58 next month. Mom and Grandma always baked them. I can't eat the red ones anymore but I can still do green and yellow. I haven't had them in a while. It is now on my shopping list lol.
Hi, I’m living in North Carolina, USA. Your channel is very intriguing. Love seeing the foods in the shops and your cooking skills. Did you know that if you take great care with beet tops (leaves) and stems, you can make a very tasty side dish. Just wash them well, chop up and sauté (fry) in butter with chopped onions, salt and pepper. Very healthy. Looking forward to more videos.
As a kid for Russian parents , I’ve tried all of these . I love sirnichki and bursht. Also sometimes stuffed poppers and I like to stuff also potatoes. My husband who is American loves Russian food and recently started make bursht. We love it
Good day first of all I just love you so much and your videos uou are a blessing to us all thank you, thank you .And thank you for showing us Russian culture.Shelly from Trinidad.❤
Hello and greetings from Michigan USA. I am Daniel. Thank you for sharing your home and a little of the food you prepare and your grandmother's garden bounty.
This all looks very delicious! Your mother is a classic beauty like a movie star. You're both just so beautiful and talented. I love the interactions and you translating her criticism of your vegetable preparation. 🤣❤
Nastya, I love your mom! She reminds me so much of my grandmother who raised me and taught me how to cook. Your Russian dishes are beautiful and delicious. Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful culture.
Looks delicious. I stuff peppers nearly the same way but bake in the oven. I was in Russia in 1997 and 1998. It was a mission trip with a large group of people from different churches. We stayed in Moscow but traveled in the country to schools and hospitals to visit children. The Russian people we met were lovely. The hospitality was so gracious. We were always offered tea and something to eat. Sometimes we didn’t want to eat because we knew the people were poor and didn’t want to take away the food they needed to eat. We never refused because if we did, it might insult them. It was winter with lots of snow, and I loved it all. Our guides told us about the people’s summer homes and how they loved to go there in warmer weather. I still cherish the memories and souvenirs I brought back, beautiful scarves, Matryoshka dolls and hand made jewelry. I loved the food we were served. Especially the beet dishes. I love beets and sour cream. Everyone I was traveling with would try to give me their beet dishes because they didn’t like beets and I do! 😂
I make my stuffed peppers very different. I use green bell peppers and bake them in the oven with no water but a drizzle of olive oil. It's very interesting to see how different other cooks do things.
Ah this made mw so hungry and its 12.30am. Iḿ going shopping tomorrow to make all these dishes. Thank you and your mum so much for showing us this. I will need to have a french roll to go with all this. Blessings and light to you both. Both you ladies are so good.
Hi - Love your videos. They are very sensible. I made borscht once years ago when I had some red beets and I liked it very much. I had Polish friends and liked most of their ethnic dishes. I also had a Russian friend years ago but she moved out of this area and we lost touch (pre-internet days). Thank you for sharing your daily life with us. Cheers from 🇨🇦
I've never seen dry cottage cheese like that before. Didn't even know it existed. How very interesting! This is why I love your channel. I learn so much about other cultures and things that exist outside of my own little world :)
I looked up a recipe for syrniki and it calls for farmer's cheese, which is apparently a cottage cheese with most of the liquid removed. I guess to use "ordinary' cottage cheese, one would have to press out most of the liquid for the recipe to work. I plan to try it soon.
@@annabates6367 Oh, I see what you mean... like through a cheese cloth and/or a tea towel. That makes sense. How lucky Russia is that they can buy it in their grocery stores like that. Good luck on trying out the recipe.... I'm sure it's going to come out delicious :)
I believe there was an earlier comment that really sums it up, "cooking is universal", I follow people all over the world, there is so much to learn from each other.
Looks delicious Nastya! Wow so fresh and affordable too! Thank you for sharing your world with us. Funnily enough, I have been reading about little Russia or also known as little Siberia, up in Far North Queensland, in Australia. There are a lot of Russian/Australian Aboriginal roots there and also in Brisbane. Anyways, up in Far North Queensland, there are a lot of descendants of Leandro Illin and his family who settled in Australia in 1910. Five years later Leandro married a Ngadjon Aboriginal woman, Kitty, and after her d3ath in 1925 he raised their six children by himself in outback Queensland. Quite a legend with amazing morals. Good to see you are safe and happy, take care. Love from Oceania.
Hi Nastya you are delightful, and that was so entertaining and interesting to watch! Everything looks delicious! My Mother was Italian and the stuffed peppers remind me of her. I always baked them but will try them your way next time! In my ignorance I had no idea Siberia would have such an abundance of fresh fruit and veg. All I ever heard about Siberia was the cold weather. Also your English is so good, did you learn in school? Thank you for sharing❣
Hi, thank you ☺️ We have continental climate in Siberia - cold winters and hot summers. I was learning some English at school, but mainly started to talk when I was living abroad and was exposed to English speaking environment 🙂
Live to see the Russian recipes made up. Your mum is the perfect chef. I would like to see her more. What is her name? Supermarkets are not what we think they could be in Siberia. So interesting to go shopping with you. This is just a request from as a 72 year old grandmother here in Australia.. at the end or wherever suitable could you say the Russian word for a veg or market item and write it in the corner. I would like to be able to use a greeting too. Thanks 🍉🍏🥑🥕🌽🥦🥒🫑🌶🧄🥨🥯🧀🍳🥚🥘🥣
We all make borch a little differently. I put my beets in the oven with a lid for about an hour and 1/2. Turn the oven off and let the beets cool. Once cool enough to touch I peel them. Doing it this way allows the beet skins to slip right off. I then chop them into small pieces and put in a pot with water. All the other vegetables are then peeled and chopped as usual. I am a vegetarian, so I use no meat. I ways serve my borch with chopped dill, garlic and sour cream on the side.
My Gradma made borscht. Now I can make it like she did from watching your video. I can't wait. I make stuffed peppers but I cook in oven and put ketchup on top. I cook with tomato sauce on bottom of pan and cover pan with them upright or on side. But I like your way and will try on stove. Thank you so much! Would love to see more Russian cooking. Thank you!❤
Thank you so much for sharing. Both, you and Mom. Lots of love from Vancouver Canada ❤️ Спасибо большое, что поделились. И вам, и маме. С любовью из Ванкувера, Канада ❤️
I find it interesting that you get cottage cheese in a bag and that it’s dry. I also think it’s cool that some of your milk comes in a bag. I love stuffed peppers now. I bake mine with some tomato basil soup in the oven. I loved watching you and your mom cook. ❤️✌🏻🫑
Tell your mother that I learned a lot today how to make the dishes I have heard a lot about. Thank you so much for sharing it. You keep learning with your mother. So nice.
I just discovered this channel and I love your videos! Watching from Tennessee, USA. Your videos are so calming and cozy to me. I am always interested to see what life is like in Siberia. The way you film your videos is relaxing and captivating. Keep up the good work!
This was fun, watching you and your very stern looking mother cook together. I never cooked with mine and I'm fine with that. Also, I'm vegetarian and my family all loved meat. Next time your mom appears, you should introduce her as the chief chef. I'm glad you don't take her criticism seriously. She probably loves having you back in Novosibirsk. Keep smiling, Nastya.
Your older son could do a utube channel covering his age living in Russia. Many younger people would definitely watch! Your youngest kid is adorable, very smart boy! And funny too!
Oh my goodness, i loved this! Your mother is beautiful and she has beautiful skin, i have to say. Please tell her thank you for sharing her recipes with us. It looks very delicious.
Loved all the cooking! Stuffed peppers is very common in Hungary too (prepared almost exactly the same), and we have something similar to syrniki as well (túrógombóc). We eat it with sour cream mixed with a tiny bit of powdered sugar.
Hey,Nastya.👋I am in the state of VA in the USA.🇺🇸I love your channel!♥️ I homeschool my 3 boys&your channel is so educational that we use it to learn more about Russia!🇷🇺Thanku for your content.👍God bless.🙏💝
You put a smile on my face everytime I play one of your videos. Just wholesome informative videos from a beautiful woman providing for her family. The accent helps, too.
I live in the United States in the south. We also make stuffed peppers but we bake them in the oven and pour tomato soup over them. Everything else looks pretty much the same. I would love to try borscht. It looks delicious. 😌♥️🥣
Everything everything looks so good but surely a different way of cooking. My grandparents were from Lithuania. I don’t really remember them. I was too young, but I know they made beet soup and cabbage soup and potato pancakes, which I make.. also I’m making stuffed peppers this weekend. I am from New England. I bake them and I put cheese on top and sauce and then put the little cap back on and we use either rice or barley inside for filling.
Hello, just agreeing with your mother on a couple of things. I also remove the eyes on the potatoes when peeling them! I’m Hispanic and I mix the ground beef as you did with the salt, black pepper, onions and raw rice, except I add cumin to the meat mixture and form balls for a soup called Albondigas. Some cooks add carrots, celery to cook along with the meatballs. It’s also a very delicious Mexican soup. I’ve only made Stuffed bell peppers in the oven. But, I’ll have to try making them your way, they look delicious as well. 😊
Hello from U.S. Your dinner looks delicious! I've never tried borcht but it looks yummy. Here in the states we make stuffed peppers too. I par boil the peppers empty first, take out, then stuff put in baking dish, cover with tomato sauce and bake in oven. Never tried boiling all together at once, but looks great, so will try peppers that way too. Thanks for such a great video of you and mom cooking.

Love the video. Cooking with Mom is so much fun. Beautiful yummy dishes. Love and hugs from Texas 💕
Watching this 21.16pm on a Sunday, now I’m starving.
Boiled stuffed peppers is something new on me
They look great
Ah this made mw so hungry and its 12.30am.
8:21 мама и дочь 😂😊. Сколько любви и живой семейной жизни! Спасибо за то что делитесь!
Hi Nystya. I love watching your videos. Like to see more of your beautiful children. Russia is beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
Interesting, never heard about that 🙂
Wow! That is so cool to hear! Where can I find out more? (Fellow Aussie, here.)
Thank you for sharing❣
да в Сибири вечная зима !🥶🥶🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Hi, thank you ☺️ We have continental climate in Siberia - cold winters and hot summers. I was learning some English at school, but mainly started to talk when I was living abroad and was exposed to English speaking environment 🙂
@@nastya_in_siberia 😁❣️
Live to see the Russian recipes made up. Your mum is the perfect chef. I would like to see her more. What is her name? Supermarkets are not what we think they could be in Siberia. So interesting to go shopping with you. This is just a request from as a 72 year old grandmother here in Australia.. at the end or wherever suitable could you say the Russian word for a veg or market item and write it in the corner. I would like to be able to use a greeting too. Thanks 🍉🍏🥑🥕🌽🥦🥒🫑🌶🧄🥨🥯🧀🍳🥚🥘🥣
i love the cozy vlogs! i’ve been binge watching them!
My mother is from Russia and looks just like your mother! I grew up eating this soup, I know it well!!!
Another great video Nastya! Greetings from Chile.
Thank you, well done from Australia
Your mother is a lucky woman who have you to help her in the kitchen. It looks so delicious. Thank you very much and have a wonderful day 🌺🌿.
I live in Ireland. This is very different to our foods. But I like all the ingredients so I am going to make this
I find it interesting that you get cottage cheese in a bag and that it’s dry.
So nice.
Very much enjoyed your video with your Mum. Nice to see you smiling Zastya ❤
I just discovered this channel and I love your videos! Watching from Tennessee, USA. Your videos are so calming and cozy to me. I am always interested to see what life is like in Siberia. The way you film your videos is relaxing and captivating. Keep up the good work!
I just made these stuffed peppers. Delicious! I've only baked them before. LOVE these recipes. Thank you💗
You and your mom are very lovely ladies, I really enjoyed watching this cooking with mom video 👍🙏
I so want to come to Russia!!
Thanks Nastya!! These Russian cuisines look delicious ❤ & you & your family is Love ❤
Watching you cook with your mom and reading everyone’s comments from all over the world is amazing! Thank you. Linda in Seattle USA❤
She made the syrniki!!👯🕺💃So happy!😁Thank you so much
I live in the United States in the south. We also make stuffed peppers but we bake them in the oven and pour tomato soup over them. Everything else looks pretty much the same. I would love to try borscht. It looks delicious. 😌♥️🥣
How interesting. We do the same in Austria
@@Pets383...stuffed peppers are on our 🇩🇪 menue too
Everything everything looks so good but surely a different way of cooking.
I live in the south In USA also. I cook my stuffed peppers in the oven as well, but this way looks delicious too! Either way is great ❤❤❤🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Hello, just agreeing with your mother on a couple of things. 😊
Zazanka Is the italian soffritto! 🤩 We make it with onion, carrots and celery.
I know Egyptian, Greek and Croatian people who love this, stuffed capsicum.
+Turkish People😊
@@semakesen6608 We love Egyptian, Greek, Turkish and Lebanese food, in our family in Canberra 🙂

Smetana with the peppers 😍🤤 It all looks so good
Hello from U.S.
