For the people that think autotune is cheating, let me tell you why it isn't. Back in the day they used live instruments in the studio and they would never be tuned 100% correctly, so if the singer didn't song on key, it wouldn't be as noticeable. Nowadays most of the instruments are software, which always makes them stay in the perfect key, so even if you're voice would be just a few cents of, the listening experience would be horrible.
I mean not really though, no? they were still in tune relative to the instruments so they were essentially in tune, am I wrong? I'm genuinely curious and uninformed.
