  • As promised last week, today's video is an in-depth update on what's been happening with my skin. My skin has been flaring up a lot since moving to Singapore, due to weather and other life stressors, here I talk about what I think caused the flare ups, how I have been managing the eczema, and how pregnancy has affected my skin and eczema.

Hello dear. I have a lifelong battle with topical dermatitis and extremely difficult psoriasis. I was plant based all my life until 6 years ago I went to the carnivore way of eating. Much to my surprise it was the missing link. I recently had an auto immune blood test and I do not have any auto immune! I did have a flare up and I have realized that I am not handling dairy. Other than that I am a lot better now. Also, check into getting a test from Gay Brecka to see if you have the MTHFR gene. Nevertheless, the carnivore is super easy and causes much healing for the whole body and mind. I appreciate your video and I wish the best in life. Congratulations on your pregnancy. Cheers!

Do you think you are going through Topical Steroid Withdrawal? It's an iatrogenic condition now recognized in UK. Dr. Rapaport is the doctor who is the specialist for this.

I actually hadn’t used steroids for several years before I started having these flare ups.. so think it was just plain old eczema in this case, triggered by a combo of internal + external factors that came together all at once!

I also have very hard ezcema all over my body since 2015
Between 2021 and 2022 I completly heal my skin with diet and lifestyle, my life was so good during those months. Then, two things happened:
    - I started working at a chemestry lab, expousing myself to many dangerous subtances.
    - I moved to an old deparment with black mold.
My skin got so bad despite I was having a clean lifestyle.
So I learn that mold and other enviroment expousures have a huge role in ezcema, please take in consideration my experiencie and do your research about that topics.🙏
(Sorry for my English, I am from Bolivia)

Thanks very much for your comment - you are right that environmental triggers can have a big affect on the skin. I'm still trying to work out what it is here that's causing it because there are so many things it could be! We had our air con units deep cleaned, I added in a humidifier, and I open the windows when it's not too hot... still haven't figure it out!. Hope your skin is ok now, glad you found out what is causing yours.

What facial skincare, spf and makeup do you use? Do you avoid spf and makeup during a flare? Currently having a flareup in the uk triggered by the cold weather and long term use of tretinoin. Trying to avoid the sun because I'm concerned I might get hyperpigmentation 😢 My derm prescribed me steroids but I decided not to use it as I went through TSW when I used to have flares on my fingers and now I dont have any flareups. Also, be careful when you steroids on your face as it can trigger perioral dermatitis.

Hi there! thanks for your comments and questions :) I don't avoid spf but I do find that I can only use specific brands/products. For makeup, I go for very 'natural' and moisturising (especially when my skin is dry). When I'm in the UK, I really make sure my skin doesn't get dry, however, when I'm having flare ups I find that my skin is very sensitive and reactive so it can be difficult to get a balance and not overdo it. In my next video I will be going through all the different products that I'm currently using, hopefully this should be helpful
