A DAY IN THE LIFE with an eczema FLARE UP | my life with eczema

  • ✦ Following on from my previous video, I thought I would show you how I deal with an eczema flare up, how I manage eczema naturally (with diet and lifestyle) and without medication. Eczema flare ups can be caused by so many different things, and sometimes it feels like there is no reason at all. In my case, I've had a tough year plus a whole bunch of stress, the flare up was bound to happen.
    ✦ In the video I show you how I reduce itching, what kind of foods I eat, and how I go about my day to bring down the flare up and reduce inflammation. Nothing in this video is medical advice, it is for your interest only.

    I’m also going through a flare up right now and its horrible:( It’s really hard to stay positive when you feel terrible but seeing you going through the same thing makes me feel less alone.I hope you feel better soon☺️

      Oh gosh I totally know how you're feeling, my heart goes out to you! But just keep reminding yourself that this will pass (because I promise you it will!!). Let your skin do what it needs to do, and at the same time look after it by looking after yourself and when you come out the other end it will be so worth it :) We're in it together!!

    I’m watching this this morning while on what seems like day 100 of a flare...... I’ve lost track. I had eczema horrible as a child and just never grew out of it. I over used and abused high strength topical steroids for about 20 years...... I quit cold turkey and went through HORRIBLE withdrawal about 5 years ago now. Since then, I’ve been managing my eczema naturally and am doing my best to rebalance my body and heal it from within.... just using my own intuition..... I was doing pretty good until I moved in with the love of my life about a year ago. Since then, it has been a nonstop flare on my stomach, breasts, inner thighs, under butt cheeks, hands, wrists, neck and sometimes on top of my private part.. 😔 it really strains our relationship at times and therefore my own mental and emotional health. My man actually has a horrible allergy to dust and he gets painful hives from it and pretty much is always on an antihistamine... so he can kind of sympathize with me... more than most could.... but I still feel so problematic and upset with myself at times..... even though I love myself, my body, and life so much, and for the last 6 months, have been doing EVERYTHING in my power to treat my body nice, to just love and support it in what it’s going through. All I can think to do is just keep going and doing the best I can and wait for it to pass...... with as much patience as possible...... your videos are really inspiring and comforting me.... THANK YOU ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ with the peas 🙂 I sit with an ice pack most mornings... kind of a recent discovery... it really helps. I can’t believe it took me this long to realize!

      I was nearly sobbing by the end of this comment. I’m so sorry. I am right there with you, right now. It’s been nine months since you wrote this. Are you better? Did you move from that apartment? I also just recently discovered using ice and totally kicked myself!

      Hi! Thanks so much for your kind words as always 🙏 I think after so many years of having it, it's almost like I'm used to it ! But more importantly, it's knowing that it will pass as long as I am looking after myself. I can definitely do more videos about the mental aspect - it's so important and so often overlooked. Thanks you for the suggestion

    The body brushing can help flush your lymphatic system too. Also, have you tried any intermittent or water fasting? I find 16hrs fasting starts rapidly healing my skin a full 24hrs fasting and a relaxation day with 8hrs sleep clears everything up - until I eat again haha

      I did used to fast and it provided some temporary relief (although tbh not much..) and like you said it came back again once I ate. But it just goes to show that it is def related to dysbiosis/ least gut

    I get my worst flare ups in the summer. Mine starts out “wet”. Very inflamed streaks that turn into huge patches of puffy itchy red inflamed skin. Then it sort of “scabs” over into a drier rash. Covers my back of knees, inner elbows, my back, my breast, stomach, and mouth….I had a mental break down today (lack of sleep from severe itching and burning) and went to the urgent care for a steroid shot and cream. This disease is exhausting.

    Use a low inflammatory carnivore diet to regulate your digestionand do the guided wim hof breathing exercise two times a day to regulate your nervous system. At the end of your shower put the water all the way on cold as well. This will also shock your nervous system and keep it from sending inflmmatory responses. Make sure to get at least an hour of movement daily as well for your lymphatic system which will help your body filtrate. THIS IS NOT A SKIN ISSUE. It's an autoimmune disease. YOUR DIGESTION AND NERVOUS SYSTEM is the problem. Fix these and you will heal your skin.

    In traditional Chinese Medicine the skin is linked to the lungs so eczema results as an imbalance in that system ( the lungs also include the large intestine in TCM) In TCM if you try just to suppress the symptom - it just gets driven deeper into the body and you may get something like asthma. Its something to explore

    Hi! Wondering if you moisturise your eyelid eczema? Or just leave it alone entirely?

    Does anyone have a Balsam of Peru allergy and have done a BOP avoidance diet? I have a BOP contact allergy and now think I need to do an elimination diet as well but there is no information on the internet to help with BOP free recipes just a general list of things to avoid. Any help would be really appreciated!

    Did you do DNA Food Intolerence Test to see what food triggers your eczema?

    • @naturully
      @naturully  2 года назад +1

      I did yes! According to the test I'm allergic to hazelnuts - which is odd because I'm ACTUALLY allergic to avocados, apples, and macadamias...

    Geez, the hand looks really bad. :( I'd sink it in super cold water and wrap it up in some baby eczema cream.
