I totally agree with you, my first one I made I only added buttercream to glue the two pieces together & decided if I ever do another one it needs more buttercream & more layers so thats what I also have done I cut the bottom half in half to add a layer of IMBC

Hi I’ve just made this today but found the sponge very dry on the outside....as yours looks to ?

Hi Anna, I ate a piece of this cake that I made and can assure it wasnt dry. Did you follow your own recipe or mine? I've made this recipe for 10 years now and never has the sponge been dry, so I recommend you follow my recipe and you'll just love it xx Happy Baking xx

Hi your recipe states 6 eggs but says you used 7? Also med or lge eggs? Do you place silicone moulds on a baking tray in oven?

6 eggs. Medium eggs would be preferable but large wouldn't effect it. I just place my mould in the oven but again do what ever your preference is really so if you want to use trays then feel free x
