Hubs you never cease to amaze me. Thank YOU for helping me create my DREAM CAR. She may be auto and covered in rust but I never imagined having a pop up 3000gt. You helped my dream become reality. Lovely how to video. Extremely detailed. This will help so many who may have a 3k but not the pop up version in the years to come ❤
Totally killed it in this video the information will definitely come in handy just to maintain my 93 3000GT sl , pop-up lights 😂 thanks for taking time and hard work to share this with us.
Good job. I like the look of the VR4 in red with the popup lights. Getting hard to find these. Meagan wanting it is just an excuse. I'm sure you thoroughly enjoyed doing this.
What about giving 3000GT, Strealth RT front end and pop ups? I think Stealth looks better than 1st gen 3000GT. Especially with headlight covers painted to bodycolour.
Have you picked one out yet? Duncan imports has one listed www.duncanimports.com/used/Mitsubishi/1995-Mitsubishi-GTO-48986a020a0e09b0663e7747a258ab95.htm
@@illusiveinu Just ordered one from japan, will come with shipping for the half price off that one mentioned, black 1995 twin turbo with 98k km :) Grade 4/5 japanese spec sheet. Hope one day will make the same mod as in this video.
love the video! need some advice tho: as a 18 year old with a 94 SL, should i build that car to be the best SL i can make with nice fitment and wheels and focus my power money on my other dream car a manual c5 vette? or go big and get a VR4. idk if the AWD and extras is worth it to me, i just like the sound of twin turbos and the swag factor of the VR4 badge lol
It is possible but you would need to do some modifications. The nose section between the headlights would need to be taken in about 20mm on each side and modifications around the corner marker/turn signal. But you can buy a body kit that fits the 1st Gen that looks very close to the 3rd Gen bumper. www.3sx.com/3sx-custom-fiberglass-99-bumper-91-93-3000gt
Yes I enjoy , I like , and I miss the old pop-up headlights, but I also liked the newer style more then the older style as in looks and body lines or whatever , but cool ideas in general , I also miss the targas or t-tops as well and I thought the 3000 get was ahead of its time when it came to looks and stuff but I remember someone saying that I had basically the same engine in an old 90s maybe 93 ish model Plymouth Acclaim i had with the 3.0 liter v6, I must say that engine I had in my acclaim ran forever and took a beating up until the time I sold it at least !?!? I remember also having a Chrysler New Yorker around that same year but it had the 3.3 l which was something totally different I do believe but that motor I was told would run forever also, but I don't believe the New Yorker had anything to do with this so forgive me lol
hey there I'm a new subscriber, i was wondering if you can make a video of how to wire the horn for the steering wheel, i want to keep the clock spring but don't know how to keep the horn swell.
@@illusiveinu Would you recommend Importing them? Because I've seen GTO's (The japan sold version) for cheap but I'm concerned about the quality of the car VS a marketplace 3000gt.
iconic look; can never go wrong with pop ups
You have no idea how much you just saved my dream project. Finally bro I’ve waited so long for a wiring tutorial

I love the gen1 and the gen3 front ends the best but liked the back end of the gen2 the best. Always interesting what catches different peoples eye 😊
I also loved the gen 2! Ive toyed with moving gen 1 center garnish for the gen 2 one. Then again I love all 3k details!
@illusive3kgt You two are doing a great job keeping these cars, if not for kids I would have a few of them laying around here as well 😀
Nice work bro just found your channel ... subscriber now love your work expexaly the custom taillights

Does this work with the convertible version?

Wait so even if it didn’t come with pop up heads I can convert it?
I got so nervous watching this vid like it was me doing all this stuff.

You can usually find them on marketplace for good prices

So much wasted time and money 🤡
Their time and money, they can do whatever they want with it clown.
