This house is absolutely amazing, I'm really having a hard time grasping why it's only 1.3m. You guys did an amazing job showcasing each and every element of this property and I'm sure it won't last long!
Because it's a side by side duplex... There is also no formal dining if you haven't noticed. There is only so much you can do with a limited floorplate, however the use of materials is definitely impressive.
It looks extremely expensive to maintain for someone with only a 1m budget though. Very very tall ceiling/build around the staircase which is a lot of wasted space, imagine the heating bill. Hugely tall windows floor to ceiling too, which are both bad at keeping heat in and very expensive to replace eventually. And all that height/wasted space is also just extra materials/maintenance... Idk looks great, but for a 1m budget seems like a bit of a trap, like an old luxury car.
yes, house is nice with great design, but 1.3M price tag with such 2 small bed rooms upstairs, its amazing

This house defiantly is raising the bar for modern house in Calgary. I like the designer concept about bone(concrete), muscle (wood) and skin (marble) of the house. Unlike other long narrow infill this one play around the plan and came up with fascinating spaces. However, if I were the Architect of this house I would've minimise the material use and focus more on creating spacious living room on main floor. But overall, great job.

It's just shy of 1900 sq. ft. above grade, plus the lower level - but the sheer magnitude of the ceilings and the features makes it feel even larger.

The home is beautiful but there was no need to spend 8 minutes in the kitchen. Go full detail in all your house tours like what you did here but show us the surroundings, we don’t even know how the garden looks like I know it was snowing showing that wouldn’t hurt.
