I thought the Black dial and the inner ring of the bezel failed. That
was the absolute best thing that happened. I called Tissot, they directed me to a repair center on the West Coast. They sent me a self-addressed envelope to return to watch. They repaired the bezel at no charge and it's better than it was when I bought it and it's my daily wearer. No wobble! Love this watch!!!
It looked just fine on your wrist with the original strap
I have the gradient blue dial with stainless steel strap. This watch looks great. I have received lots of compliments because of this one. Also the glow of dials are very visible even at night.
Just got the turqoise for under USD800. Absolutely awesome piece for the price. Plus, unlike Omega etc the different official Tissot bands are USD45 (less on amzn for some). The Tissot black leather/blue rubber band looks great. My submariner anniversary kermit has a new favourite in the stable, for 1/25th of the price. This is nearly as good looking as an Omega Pro 600, co-axial movement clearly better, but the new P80 is great value.
They fixed the wobble on the bezel on the 1000 they tightened it up and no wobble a wonderful watch I’ve got the blue dial and stainless steel bracelet loving it
If I tap the bezel on my 2000 there is an annoying noise. So basically play on two axis.
I have this watch and love it. I am able to pull it off with my wrist.
I bought the teal colour late last year Chris & it’s stunning! My wrist size is just over 7” & I was worried about the dial size. All ok. I did swap out the bracelet for an aftermarket rubber strap which does not have the moulded ends & works really well!
I bought one, i love my Tissot Seastar 2000 turquoise wave pattern! 😍
I first bought the green dial Seastar 2000 , then replaced it with the black dial 2000 . On a black sailcloth strap , it looks perfect . Like a modern Fifty Fathoms
Incredible watch. The 22mm strap is brilliant.
Another great review Chris. I tried on the 2000 at my local AD and really liked it but it was to big for my wrist so I opted for the 1000 with the blue dial and am very happy with it.
I have the deep blue dial and I absolutely love it! If your bezel wobbles, that's something wrong with that specific watch because I have ZERO wobble with the bezel on mine. Maybe this is why it's better to buy from an AD than from Amazon when it comes to luxury watches.
Luxury watch? Lolol
@@jeffd3802 That's right asshole, luxury.
@@jeffd3802 That's right, a watch that costs over $1,000 is a luxury watch. It's a shame that you lack education (and manners for that matter).
It's a big watch, but luckily I'm Dutch and we are in average the tallest people in the world, so for me it's no problem. I'm 6ft2 .. But i do get if you are smaller, that this is just not for you. I own the light blue version of this watch. Love the dial
Great! I'm the son of a Dutchman, I'm 1.88 m and I live in Brazil! I by here the gold version, it's amazing. Best regards broeder!
Most people buy this watch because they like the design and for everyday use not for diving. I would get the 1000 which still has 300m dive depth, smaller at 43mm and thinner which would fit most people.
I have the original Seastar 1000 which I got an integrated rubber strap… still a favorite… I think 🤔 I may buy a 2000 as well. Plus my actual last name is Tissot. Fun to have my name on a watch.
I think they nailed it on this one ☝️
That’s cool! I should change my name
My last name is Seastar.
My last name is Swissmade...First is Rubberstrap.
I watched this video over and over and minimum ten times. The struggle is to choose this black/gold one or blue/blue one. This sold at Hong Kong is less than HKD10000 now. Pretty good price.
Seastar is an often over looked watch. Reminds me of the Oris Aquis but with standard lugZ
It's specced out more like the Planet Ocean than the Aquis.
Fits great on my wrist.. then again im above avg in seize. Price to specs, you cant go wrong. You can easily pay +3-4k for comparable.
I also have a 7.5 in wrist so I always appreciate you putting the watch on so I can see what it might look like on my size wrist. This one is a big boy though. I like the gilt everything and the dial is sweet too I also like how it looks on the rubber strap but I never thought of how moulded ends effected the way it wore on the wrist but it makes sense. Also can't wait for you to do a review/giveaway of the Wicked Watch, that is more my style and lumacast is amazing stuff!! Boldr use it also I think on their bronze divers and it's super bright and 3 dimensional, very cool tech.
I also think It looks not too big on you. I have 8 1/2 inch wrists. I think It would look great. Sorry I had to edit. My cel gets Confused when I write in english and does some tipe of spanglish.
great video. I was looking for a diving watch for quality entry to mid level wrist watches and to use it till to the end of my days in theory..... So I told my dad I found finally a good watch I like after a 1 or 2 year long search, the Seastar 2000. I have a small wrist but I DO NOT MIND. It is such a small watch and I am not kidding. With the jubliee edition, forgot the year, and metal strap I am so happy my dad found a 400 € off ebay listing. That seller never used the metal one so that only the watch itself has like one or two minor scratches.
TLDR got the 2000 for 800€ and if it is smaller than my wrist I love it and it is the case - my wrist is small.
PS: The seller told my dad that he got a Rolex after like 8 months after learning to love this type of watch.
This is the best copy of an omega yet you can get to be honest with you for the money it's the best thing you can get thank you for reminding this is the one I have that i wear every day and i wear every day it's actually an excellent watch and it's well worth the value
Copy of an Omega? How? It doesn't look anything like an Omega.
@@AvroBellow You gotta understand it's manufactured by the same company that manufactures Is omega
@@anthonybollini3699 I'm aware of that but I'm also aware that the companies are run independent of each other. By your logic, they're ALL copies of the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms. Yes, that's how absurd it sounds.
@@anthonybollini3699swatch h grou0 has ownership it doesn't manufacture any brand except swatch.
Tissot doesn’t use plastic parts in the movements, omega as great the company is they use plastic parts in the movement they provide in their watches
looks nice, interesting case, safe dial design, but I don't like this T counterbalance. Hope they change it for something more interesting & complex, like CW trident or Ball RR.
Thanks for reviewing this watch. Debating between this or a new hamilton frogman. I really prefer the dial on this. Got the green 1000 so the black 2000 would look great in my collection
I have a blue one and I love it
The Tissot marking on my buckle fell off just when I stepped out of the store. It seems like it was a sticker rather than painted.
I've been looking for a large dive watch to suit my 8.5" wrist. So many other watches just dissappear on my wrist. I turn a 41mm into what looks like a 36mm. I'm gona put an order in for one of these! Really like that colour way. Also seen on Tissot website, they sell a whole bunch of straps. Worth a look! Thanks.
I own the watch, and it's awesome, the only thing is that it's heavy AF
Great review. I've just discovered Tissott and wear it more than my Beetling Navitimer 46
Would this strap fit an 8inch wrist?
Never met a Diver who wears a dive watch for diving. Also the idea of a one way ratchet bezel is that it gives less time rather than more as a safety feature...if one wore it underwater . Personally I buy dive watches as they are robust.
What do divers wear them for, flying ?
@@DL101ca hahaha 😆....very witty 👍. A Christmas present in words....fantastic.
I like the watch...but as with most Tissot I HATE the counter balance on the second hand. I know this is silly maybe, but I just can't get past it. If they would just make some effort to stylize it somehow it would make a huge difference..... or get rid of the "T" altogether.
Ditto.
There is a newer version that has blue dial similar to this. Instead of the clunky strap it has one that hugs your wrist nicely and doesn't stick out as much. I bought mine at an AD and it doesn't have the play on the bezel. I wonder if you were sent a gray market watch. Amazon has had this problem in the past and Tissot won't honor the warranty, which is why don't buy watches from there anymore. Ended up w junk watch. I do like the color...very nice though.
The one with the blue strap and black and blue dial.
I bought it and it’s a great watch. Really happy and looks better than this black one with rubber strap I fell although this does look awesome too haha
Dude, the watch looks fine on you. does not look too big at all looks just right to me
Hi what straps can i order for this from the tissot website? Lug 21,22 or ,23mm??
Good looking watch. I'm watching on a smartphone so I could be wrong but is that date window quite a lot off-centre?
I'm looking at mine as I say this... you're definitely wrong. My date window is perfectly centred.
Maybe something wrong with my eye coz it doesn’t look big on ur wrist. It’s actually look pretty nice.
I’m 6’6 300lbs with almost 9 inch wrist… not to big for me! But hate no clasp options
I hate how the indices are touching the chapter ring. It looks like they are squished and fighting for space. Moving them in just 2mm would have made a big difference in my view.
I have a small wrist, but so what I have had big watches up to 46, its up to the individual, I sick of hearing about watches being to big, like us old feckers the bigger the better, eyesight not so good as one gets old.
Size is all in perception. The 40mm looks dwarfed by your wrist. The Tissot looks ideal, with the lug tips lined up perfectly to the edges of your wrist.
Considering your wrist is average size, this is certainly not too big for most people.
I still say it's certainly one of the best, if not THE best, diver for the price. 20 more hours of PR than a Seamaster PO, and a certified dive watch, although not Chronometer or METAS certified, of course, but also not six grand. I think it looks much better, as well.
I love mine. Will wear it today, to celebrate your purchase. I like that colorway a lot, btw. Excellent choice.
As much as I don’t want another Tissot or Hamilton in my collection. I feel it’s going to be incredibly hard to go anywhere else for a sun $1,000 diver.
Superb watch, I had the old version too 👌❤️👍
If ever you don’t like your new Tissot, text me I would be very interested in buying it from you!
Thanks in advance,
Johnny
Afterall is Said & Done concerning Its Overall Size& Lug to Lug, etc. It's wants to be taken seriously as a Tool Watch. Why else would it seem to be "pre-sized" for Scuba Gear? The Watch readily fitting over the cuff of a Diver wearing a Wet Suit. So other considerations were Secondary. Taking the Hint. The Target Market for this Watch is the Diving Community.
The Target market for this watch is definitely NOT the scuba community. It's a nicely made dive watch but if this was solely targeted toward professional divers they wouldn't make any money. Case in point this watch is sold at Macy's
@@WatchChris Ever been to Macy's Herald Square Store in NYC ? You need Scuba Gear to survive the Gauntlet of Odors when passing through their Fragrance Section ! ;-)
Can this 2000 be switched with a mesh bracelet like the 1000 series?
yes, 22 mm strap. The mesh strap is also lightweight too, making it easier to wear.
Looks like a shield on your wrist.
Am i the only one that saw the date window frame misaligned with the lume below it? Or was it just light play? I love Tissot and own 3 of them but i wouldn’t like to have that kind of misalignment at nearly 1k normal retail.
This isn't really a "beefed-up Seastar 1000", it's a completely different watch. It has about as much in common with the Seastar 1000 as it does with the Mido Ocean Star.
It's like comparing a Sea Dweller to a Submariner, a Planet Ocean to a Seamaster or a Grand Diver to a Pro Diver. The watch is different enough that it's no longer the same. I think that the Seastar 2000 looks more like an Oris Aquis than a Seastar 1000.
I own this watch the Tissot Sea Star 2000 is a good looking watch but I really don't look the box it comes in the box feels like a grocery store watch box
I didn't like the van the delivery driver who brought it to me was driving...it was like a plumbers van...🙄
Thank the gods you don’t after wear the box😊
What is exactly serie you vintage watches ?
The color clock background
Good price!
The date still off, the space on the 8 is more than the space on the 1
I love the teal dial one on a black strap, but OMFG like I need another diver. *lol*
Good review.
This watch may be of "entry level price".. But it is definitely not "entry level" in terms of watch build and styling... My Rolex Submariner No Date, Omega Seamaster 300 and Oris Aquis do not look as nice as my Tissot seastar pro 2000... I have the turquoise dial model and it feels premium on my wrist.. The bezel action on mine is very firm and precise with no play whatsoever... It is a fully Swiss made watch by a company with a great history and that alone is a galvanising reassurance... I really like the 46mm case size because it is not for everyone and that makes the watch less common in public.... It is a certified dive watch and stands surpasses some watches that are 4 and 6 times its price tag.... I got more compliments with this watch in the first week of wearing than I have in 5 years of wearing my Rolex Submariner and Omega Seamaster..
Bezel arızalandı. Çok başarısız
Do they offer 36mm in automatic?
Yes, they have the 1000 in 36mm
Not in automatic yet
Yes for ladies...
That watch does not look that big on you.
Its nice but kinda big
Nice all around except for the date, don't think it's even needed on a true dive watch.
has anyone tried this on the bracelet or a NATO?
I would almost pay 300$ more and buy from ad.
IT SOUNDS LIKE A BIG SAVE BOX.
😂😂😂😂😂
MY FREINDS ARE PROFESIONAL DIVER .AND RHEY NEED AND THEY USE BIG BIG WATCHES .
UNDER WATER WIRH NOT CLEAR WATER ITS NOT EASY TO READ AND LOOK THE WATCH CLEAR ... THIS IS REASON .DIVER WATCHES NEEDS TO BE BIG. ...
((. ONE THING IS LOOKING RHE WATCH OUTSIDE
BUT OTHER THING
LOOKING THE WATCH UNDER 150 MET METER IN NO CLEAR WATER .....
I love Tissot and this one is amazing... but Tissot made a huge mistake... the size, too big.
As you sad, apply the same finish on the 1000 and it will sell like crazy
Тиссо не допускал никаких ошибок, часы ВЖИВУЮ смотрятся потрясающе, даже на небольшом запястье 7 дюймов
It's huge. Not touching it.
That's what she said...
I wish they'd lose the T on the second hand. It's the one thing which has always put me off Tissot.
Really? You get put off by THAT?! Well, I'm thankful that I'm not because this watch has similar specs to the Planet Ocean for less than 1/6th the price. I'll keep the thousands of dollars and "suffer" with the "T".
😂🤣😂🤣😂
@@AvroBellow yes really I am put off by that Tissot T and i´m not the only one. I don´t like the planet ocean either! Bit too bling, Black bay 58 about perfect. Worth saving for.
@@Televisiontechnology Well, I'm turmed off by the fact that Tudor has never had a real identity of its own and I'm also not the only one. Tudor's identity has always been "The Almost-Fake Rolex" and that doesn't impress me. Tissot's identity is at least solid and the history is there. I think that the Black Bay is an absolute rip-off because if it's going to be more expensive than the TS2000, then it should out-spec the TS2000. Instead, the opposite is true.
@@AvroBellow so sad.
@@Televisiontechnology We all have the things we don't like and it seems that they're all valid, eh?
You are prolific
Bir yılda bezel bozuldu.calibre very bad
Tissot simply sucks, just returned their “chronometre”
lol your hand is so small ahahah.... imma big dude, i clip it on the third hole from the end, it sits perfect. there are different sizes of men and this is for people over 6ft. i have silver-shine version, gold looks a tad rednecky imho, silver is the beautiful one.
Just ordered one. Jomashop
