I bought this watch last week after reading, watching reviews and trying on in a store... I wore an Omega Seamaster 300 as a daily for 14 years and then a Rolex Submariner no date for the last 5 years... I must say that I enjoy wearing this watch with the turquoise dial so much... It looks amazing and has a very respected movement.. And it is Swiss made by a company that has a great history in watchmaking... Yes the bracelet could be better but it is ok once strapped to the wrist.. The quality of the watch and it's functionality easily matches watches that are 3 and 4 times the cost.. My watch has a very firm and click precise bezel which I assume is something that they have improved from earlier made ones.. Overall this is a watch that could easily demand a much higher price tag and still cut the mustard... Way to go
If only it was 42-43mm. I habe a 7.75 in wrist and it looked like a hockey puck on my wrist.
I just purchased this watch - It's a perfect watch. Dominating on the wrist, classy, subtle. The added water resistance is a huge help around the pool. For the price tag and the specs of this watch, it's a no brainer.
Finally! Someone else with 8 inch wrists. It looks exactly like I thought it would on my wrist.
Tissot Seastar 2000 is the winner👍
I have both the 1000 and the 2000. Love them both they are beautiful watches. I am ok with the bracelet on the 2000 I think it matches the watch fine. If you like large watches you will love this one.
This is a BIG boy... Looks great. I have big wrists and could pull it off, but I think most guys will be sized out.
HOLY MOLY This watch is fantastic! I'm gearing up to get this one from my local AD b/c I want to encourage my local jeweler.
Love the new intro By the way.
Thanks for sharing.
I purchased the teal version and to be honest the quality of a box I'll spend 10 minutes with is insignificant to me. It is an excellent watch not just for the price, it's an excellent watch period.
I picked up this watch recently at a department store and when the sales associate pulled out watches from below the counter they were all thrown together in a basket and each was in a plastic baggie. She then went to a stack of empty Tissot boxes and put my watch in it. The boxes weren't even specific to the watch being purchased--very generic. I have to admit, it degraded the buying experience. However, it's a beautiful watch and I got it at 20% off so all is good. However, Tissot could spend maybe a few dollars more to improve packaging. I felt like I was buying a watch at a flea market.
Just received mine. Amazon threw it in a non padded bag and the box was pretty beat up. I have to agree. Tissot really dropped the ball on that box. That said, I LOVE this watch. I did not get the same negative impression of the band so I guess I not that discerning. I have a 7-1/4 wrist and it wears great for me. Frankly given the weight and height it wears shockingly well. Very happy with this watch to commemorate my 60th…….
I have 7 inch wrist and just bought this watch but with the other shade of blue and fits perfectly, love it.
Do you still like it after a few days? I am thinking about buying one but I wasn’t sure if my wrist would be big enough (7.5 inches)
@@MrWolf-ln1gi I tried one on at the weekend and it looked absolutely fine and I have a 7.5 inch wrist, hope this helps.
Same here. My wrist is 7 inch also
I just bought the Aqua color one, even more of a stunner than this blue one.
Its a solid watch and I've had it for a week and have gotten several compliments on it.
Buy it, you won't regret it.
For the price it's hard to beat highly recommend. Great review
I have the teal version. I completely agree about the bracelet. After 10 minutes on the wrist and a couple passes by the mirror being blinded by the bling, that thing was off the watch, with a miltat hexad straight lug replacement. Looks nice. I think this thing really hits above it's price. Even the movement in mine is exceptional, it's accurate to within less than a second per day. Can't say enough good things about this watch. I would pick it over anything sub-1000 dollars, and I did chose it over an Aquaracer and an Omega Seamaster. I just thought it brought so much to the table at the price. It's a keeper.
Just got this as my first semi luxury watch, the light blue version.. absolutely beautiful, have also ordered a Tissot silicone strap to use instead of the bracelet that comes with it… cost £40 .. this watch game I think is gonna cost me a lot over the years as I’ll be stepping up the levels with each watch purchase… 😆💷💷💷
Step up to a Casio next
@@terrytibbs951 Probably already has one.
I mean, who doesn't already have a Casio, before starting a watch collection?
I wear Rolex and Omega and this watch feels and looks every bit as luxury as them. This is a luxury watch.. Its fully swiss made.
Thanks for reviewing! Just got this watch on sale (Boxing day) and I'm absolutely in love with it. I typically wear 38-42mm diameter watches, but this doesn't wear big for its size. I've got the light-blue dial and it really pops and the polished parts of the dial/bezel give it a dressier feel than you would expect. Very versatile and beautiful watch. The lume is decent as far as Swiss watches in the same price range. Pretty sure this bluish-teal lume is BGW9.
What size is your wrist?
I agree with you re: the bracelet. My 1000 has the same bracelet and the bracelet of off most of the time. If they would have provided a taper and polished the outside links and left the inner brushed, I think we wouldn’t be having this conversation.
Picked up the Seaster pro on rubber a few weeks ago. Build quality is amazing. Believe its one of the first watches under the new CEO Sylvain who ran Hamilton for the last decade. This is a true ISO 6425 certified diver. Crystal is extremely thick. I own a number of high end diver's and am blown away buy how well made it is. Amazing for the money. Would have been satisfied even if its retail price was $2k! By the way, the box in this review doesnt look like its the correct one for the watch. Mine came in a larger, higher quality box! Also, the pro model is not replacing the the 300m version. They are 2 different models!
I bought one recently but the box here is totally different. I agree about the bracelet but everything else is awesome.
Great review
Tissot needs to make a 42-43mm version of this watch and maybe a full titanium version would also be great too to reduce the weight!!!
looks much better than the old one
Great review, I tried one on at the weekend and you absolutely correct in your comments about the strap quality not matching the actual watch, it felt very cheap! Lovely watch, shame about the bracelet!
I like the looks of this watch it is an Omega Seamaster on a beer budget I have ordered this same watch I would like to get an awesome rubber strap for this timepiece
Good video! It seems that at this price range this particular model packs lots of bang for the money. I mean, look at the specs- 600WR, ceramic bezel, saphire crystal, Powermatic 80 movement. It's true, It's on the big size and this particular fact may drive some people away but overall, it's a great buy.
Nice watch! Seen this in the aqua blue dial w/c i think is better looking… might buy this next time 👍👍
I have the 2000, 2 seastar 1000's. Love my 2000. Changed it to a rubber strap. It's so much better with the new strap
Why did you remove the bracelet? Just curious as I just bought a 2000. I love thé bracelet so far. Time will tell I guess👍
Looks great, I have Tissot T-classic Gentleman Green Dial Sunburst as well
I bought the same watch but in light blue, waiting for it.
Wished they used the 1936 branding still. Such a classy design
I just picked up the version with the sea green dial and love it. Great video!
Enjoy it!
Really a good watch, I bought with Rubber strap, I M agree with you, the armys metal dont is at the same level of t'he watch, thank you very mucho for tour videos, Best regards from Barcelona
You're very welcome!
You didn't mention that this watch is anti magnetic and that the glass on the back is sapphire too.
I think the back glass being Sapphire is fairly obvious, but he definitely should have mentioned that this watch is antimagnetic.
Get on him .
IMHO the teal dial is even nicer.
Great watch. There's nothing wrong with the bracelet. I've had mine for a month and it's been comfortable and secure.
Glad it worked out for you.
How much cost for this tisso 600m 2000
A nice Swiss watch for the money.
It’s on sale right now. Man I want to own one. Great for summer haha
Is the chain links adjustable without reducing
First. Do I win anything ?
Sadly they never put the cosc version of the powermatic in it the si variant. That's all it's missing.
great review man!
Much appreciated!
Love this watch. It’s my next watch purchase. I also have an 8 inch wrist, so this will work great for me as I like bigger, chunkier Dive watches. Sucks you’re the 2nd reviewer saying the bracelet doesn’t match the watch. The black dial version comes on a rubber strap I believe. Great review!
Thanks for the kind words. Yeah, it's great watch but that bracelet just doesn't seem up to par.
@@maverickwatchreviews btw man, has anyone told you that you sound like Seth Rogan? :D
I’m on the fence between this Tissot and a Longines Hydroconquest. What are your thoughts?
If you really have to consider between a Tissot and a Longines, definitely get the Tissot because it's punching well above it's weight to be in competition with Longines.
I have an eight and a half inch wrist and I'd like to know if it would fit straight from the box or will I need extra links?
You'll be good. I'm at about 8 and a quarter and I took one link out. You might be perfect
This is what I call "Planet Ocean specs for a Hamilton Jazzmaster price". This will be a real disruption to the dive watch market. As long as the bracelet is comfortable, I don't really care how the bracelet quaity feels. It's a standard size and I'm sure that I have other bracelets that I can put on. I've been wearing a heavy 47mm Invicra Grand Diver for 9 years so a 46mm watch doesn't scare me. I only have an 18cm (7½") wrist but it's flat and broad. I'm talking 6cm (2.5") wide and only 3cm (1½") tall. My massive Invicta #3049 fits pretty much perfectly.
I love the bracelet on it
I think the bracelet would look better all brushed, sometimes the centre polished links don’t do any favours
not sure why hes referring to the seastar 1000 as the "old one"
It’s just around 1000usd ,nothing to complain
Strange box aside it is one of the most exciting watches Tissot have made in a while - well imo. Shame it's so big though, wish they made a 40mm as well. Oh well, curse my skinny wrists.
When I bought my older Seastar there were several choices for same watch and one was the grade of metal. I wonder if they cheaped out on bracelet metal quality.
just got mine ..love the size.. 1400 cdn
Its equip with a nivachron hairspring balance. That a plus value for this model.
Reminds me of the Save The Ocean dials from Seiko.
Good and short comment!
After your comment I'm going to buy the watch you are talking about.
The major problems with this bracket is that there are no half links and only 3 micro adjustments. It was impossible to get it to fit comfortably. It was either too tight or too loose.
That is a sweet ass watch ⌚️ I just buy that watch yesterday it looks pretty sweet when wearing a AC/DC t-shirt or a Metallica t-shirt sweet ass
wow... metal heads love this watch too \m/
I have this one on the way, same color dial with the bracelet. We'll see about that bracelet. Certina's DS diver bracelets are pretty good. Given the size of the watch, I'm thinking a blue ladder-style strap - Isofrane or a FKM rubber alternative from Helm - would work well with it. thanks for a helpful review.
It is not old model,it is a diferent model, with a diferent name it is seastar 1000 and this is seaster 2000 it is like bmw 3 series and bmw 5 series it is not comperable
Im getting one...1000 or 2000?
@@caseymaroney5028 2000 definitely
I really want the clear back..is that the only diff?
Switch the metal strap with a blue nato one having a white line in the middle
Great review, go for green or blue help me choose! Also I have skinny wrists but 6'3, will it work? if anyone knows of ant cheap deals in the UK please lmk!
I totally agree with the bracelet that it feels cheap. I got the teal one. But everything for me is perfect
Thanks for this review!
what cares about watchbox. I open it once, get out the watch and watch goes to my big collection box. original box will go garage can.
Very pretty watch but I hate having the date window at 6. The best would be at 4,5 or not at all.
I agree with you on the box. it is pretty lame, but I think most of that is the recycled material push and a smaller box is a smaller footprint therefore less cost to ship. But, all that said, I (the customer) want a better box like the previous ones, but I guess I get it, too.
Tissot should also bring 42 mm with premium steel belt !
I have the Tissot seastar powermatic 1000 in black love it the 2000 is to big why did they do it wish they did it in 42mm would of bought one in a heart beat
i got a different box(bigger) with this watch. it was way easier to unbox. love the watch.
Me too. Personally the 3 minute rant about the box 😂! Who cares!
Who cares about the box? LOL Mine goes right to my watch box
hello, did you know if the tissot box is going to do as before, since this new box loses all the elegance and presentation of the watch.
this watch in 42-43mm would be perfect. Now one might say just buy the 1000 but the bracelet and clasp of that one is way inferior. Also you don't get that dial on the 1000.
Good
That date they make square instead circle because they have so much issue when the date picking hahaha still not a fan i still go for mido, seiko and orient star diver.
The dial is very seiko manta ray looking
Thanks a lot for taking the time for this detailed review i really enjoyed it...👍😉 Swiss Watches and Chocolats the best in the World.😉
How much cost please
Around $1000
Bought the mido ceramic better dial imo
this is a seiko homage?
A watch at this price shouldn't have stamped clasp and bad lume. Also, it should be screw links.
You're expecting way too much for a watch this has specs like this one, they have to save costs somewhere.
Nice. . How much €.
Google is your friend.
You should try it.
Like this watch. But for about 300 dollars more I'd get tne edox nuptonian
Edox are unique/fantastic and a bit underrated. Lower volume production with very high quality control.
This or hydroconquest.???
This
Both have garbage bracelets. That's the pitfall of all the around 1000 dollar divers. You only start getting good bracelets when you get to say Doxa sub 300t, Oris aquis and tag Heuer aquaracer territory.
Although the certina ds 43 seems pretty good but I haven't seen it in person.
I hve one , good watch
Gray market model.
Please enter me into the giveaway!
With a few more $ you can buy a Oris aqua date with full quality housing finish and better overall watch. Thats my opinion.
Non certified with basic dial, basic movement, and on rubber. Add 300 for exclusive bracelet, add for a screw driver to install it.
If you are referring to the Oris Aquis then I think you’ll find that the Tissot is much better for the price. The Aquis is about twice the price, less then half the depth, similar movement quality, non-sapphire case back (using mineral glass), and less then half the power reserve. Not to mention a very basic design which I guess is subjective. There really isn’t much reason to go with an Oris, if you going into the $2,000+ range there are better options.
Tissot is 1000 times better from any shitty oris...
Check out the mido ocean star 600.
3 mins ranting about a box lol
Stupid comments about free content...lmao.
You know you can skip? Stop being a hater.
Great video
Think as a diver, this is a winner ,although not keen on the strap,
Quick question, do you know if the spring bars are thick like seiko as they are the best and safest I've come across.
It looks great but being a bracelet guy if the bracelet is cheap that’s definitely a no go for me .
Did you buy one?
One third of the way in, you're still talking about a cardboard box. I'm out.
Deuces...lmao.
It’s cheap looking box for the price tag they should have designed a better watch box
It should have had an extra belt in rubber remember we can’t use shiny objects while diving because it will attract sharks use a black or any color combination rubber belts it would be better guy’s and safety is very important
Do NOT like the hour and minute hands... Looks cheap. Prefer arrow markers for hands.
save bit more for oris calibre 400......and u get more watch for ur money !!!
U talking about a $2500 difference.
Save a "bit" more?
You could literally buy two of these watches for the price of that.
Tissot have obnoxious braclet and very cheap feeling and looking clasp
I have a full 8" wrist... hoping it fits well (just ordered one), my Lunar Pilot at 45mm wears pretty well too. People with small wrists will NOT be able to pull this off unless they like hockey pucks on their wrist.
