@Ledzends Hi, I think the problem you have is a little simpler. If it's the headrest you can be pretty sure the wire going up to the headrest has broken, it just needs reconnecting, the only issue is finding the break. In the e90 it's always in the middle and you can remove the back of the seat to get to it. In the e60 im not sure if you're able to remove the back of the seat. I can have a look into it for you, because it would be good to know myself.
@@TheBimmerFixer Please take a look and tell me, thats what my friend told me also, but its kinda hard even to find to open the headrest, these comfort seats are really complicated
@Ledzends I would start at the bottom of the headrest as I bet the break is not far from there and all you need to do is reconnect the wire. I found a video where someone unclipped the top half of the back of the seat and that would reveal the wire perfectly. If you search for e60 front seat disassembly it should come up.

@@TheBimmerFixer thank you for responding I've just ordered it will it need clearing with a diagnostic tool or will the lights go out after installation itself
Hi Anthony, I cant say iv seen the airbag and seat belt connections on the e91 but I think they are slightly different. But the principle would be the same. If you look online/ ebay you'll see the connectors and resistors on there. When I last looked they were slight more expensive but there seemed to be more that came with the kits for the e90 and e91 than the e60 and e61. Hope this helps if you get stuck give me a shout 👍
Thats great! Once you fit that it should turn the light out after a little drive. If it doesn't you might need a scanning tool to turn it off. You can use a C110 scanner they are about £35 on ebay but try fitting the resistors first and see if it turns off itself 😃👍
good video! I'm having the same lights on my 316d e91 but don't really know what the fault code is. Is this the most usual fault or could it be something else? I will try to do the same as you tho, do you know were i can find the parts to e91? All the best
@Ludvig väpnare Hi thank you! So yes this is the most common reason you get those lights on the dash and for the price its definitely worth doing. The best place I found was actually ebay there are plenty of the resostor kits on there just make sure it's for the e91 👍🏻 Hope this helps. Let me know if you get stuck or need help.
@Ludvig Väpnare You're very welcome. So the two parts you'll need are the resistor for the occupancy sensor and the resistor for the seat belt. Sometimes you have to buy them separately but most of the time they come as 2. If you click the link in the description that will show you what they look like but just make sure you get the e91 resistors 😊👍🏻

@@TheBimmerFixer i just need the starting location of the cable so i can find where its broken
@Ledzends I would start at the bottom of the headrest as I bet the break is not far from there and all you need to do is reconnect the wire. I found a video where someone unclipped the top half of the back of the seat and that would reveal the wire perfectly. If you search for e60 front seat disassembly it should come up.
@@TheBimmerFixer can you please send the link?
Have you got a link for the resistors as of now mate ?
@Diary of An Afro Hair Transplant... Sorry about that mate don't know why it wasn't working. It wouldn't let me put the link here but i have updated the one in the description. Let me know if you have any trouble.
@@TheBimmerFixer thank you mate link is working
@Diary Of An Afro Hair Transplant.. Thank you for letting me know mate 👍🏻
Do you plan on doing an egr delete on the car? It’s supposed to be great for the car I was wondering how to get round the EML warning ⚠️ light for MOT purposes could that handheld device you have map out the EML light?
Thanks,
Graham
Please can you send me the ebay link to the resisters thank you
Hi, it wont let me put the link here but the seller is SRSDRIVE and the item number and title is
161357843343
Bypass For BMW 5 Series E60 Passenger Seat Occupancy Mat Airbag Sensor Emulator
Hope this helps.
@@TheBimmerFixer thank you for responding I've just ordered it will it need clearing with a diagnostic tool or will the lights go out after installation itself
Do you need to disconnect the battery before installing
@@kaler329 Hi Ash, its probably advisable to but that said I cracked on with it connected and had no issues 👍
I have a bmw e91 320D touring ive got this airbag and seatbelt error do i need this?
Hi Anthony, I cant say iv seen the airbag and seat belt connections on the e91 but I think they are slightly different. But the principle would be the same. If you look online/ ebay you'll see the connectors and resistors on there. When I last looked they were slight more expensive but there seemed to be more that came with the kits for the e90 and e91 than the e60 and e61. Hope this helps if you get stuck give me a shout 👍
@@TheBimmerFixer thanks very much i will look on ebay now and the follow
your guide
You're very welcome Anthony!
@@TheBimmerFixer ive found one for ££32 if it wasnt for you doing this video i wouldnt of known very greatful :)
Thats great! Once you fit that it should turn the light out after a little drive. If it doesn't you might need a scanning tool to turn it off. You can use a C110 scanner they are about £35 on ebay but try fitting the resistors first and see if it turns off itself 😃👍
What resistor did you youse
@Keith Murphy Sorry not too sure on the strength of the resistor as it was incased with the adapter in the kit.
@@TheBimmerFixer Thank you so much!
So do i need 1 kit or is it One for seatbelt and One for airbag?
@Ludvig Väpnare You're very welcome. So the two parts you'll need are the resistor for the occupancy sensor and the resistor for the seat belt. Sometimes you have to buy them separately but most of the time they come as 2. If you click the link in the description that will show you what they look like but just make sure you get the e91 resistors 😊👍🏻
@@TheBimmerFixer thanks mate,
Ordered a kit now!
@Ludvig Väpnare your welcome mate, let me know how you get on 👍🏻

I’ve did this and I haven’t had any car problems since🙏🏽
Just got this fault after getting some lads to do tints on my e60. Wtf. Im a dumbass for not mentioning it to them on completion.
@Filthy Rodriguez Hernandez No way! Sorry to hear that! Hopefully it's not going to be too much trouble to get it sorted!
