Thank you for your video! I searched everywhere even forums and other videos and no one explains it this way. Even on Facebook groups everyone says to take it to the dealership or the splicing thing. Just ordered my scanner and taped down the positive cable in advance. Thank you!
Easy fix! Had this code pop up before and it let me clear it. BUT came back about a month later and I couldn’t clear it anymore. Upon further research all it was, was that cable in the video. I taped it down good to go 👍🍾
Great video, thanks! Quick and to the point. Some other videos advocate splicing a resistor into the battery safety terminal wiring. I would definitely recommend to anyone to try this simple and non-invasive fix before hacking your car apart.
Air bag bmw fault code 000006 is displaying on my autel scanner? Intermittently comes on goes off. Took all under seat air bag connections apart and cleaned. Still intermittently coming on and going off? Could it be a faulty clock spring in the steering column?
Whoa...gotta try this and update this comment if it works...but I would not at all be surprised if this is the issue because I recently solved some issues that ended up being with my battery connections not being tight and I removed and re-installed the battery multiple times in the process...so I probably bumped this wire somehow...update to follow.
I got this error on my 2013 bmw x3 after swapping my original base model seats for m sport seats. The m sport seats I found came directly off of another bmw x3 same generation. I checked the seats when they were still in the other x3 they had no airbag faults or error codes. All the Connections are the same, rails are the same. Bolted them up perfectly and plugged them in, now when I scan it, it’s telling me “seat not coded for car” the seats work perfectly fine as they should this light is just annoying I wish I could get it to go away. Any suggestion? I did swap the seats with the battery still plugged in, which is why I’m assuming all this happened. Any advice helps thanks.
Hi I accidentally connected my battery backwards as soon as I touch the positive cable to the negative Pole I took it off right away but then now the dash where it shows you everything about the car your maintenance the settings the radio doesn't work anymore everything else work I get the symbol with the sword in the middle I get there's like four different things that pop up when I try to start the car it even says that the steering wheel is locked so I have to literally turn the steering wheel in order for the car to start but other than that everything else works perfectly so what do I need to do to fix that issue
Didn’t work? You think could be a bad BST red battery terminal? I had cleaned and brushed and the connection and had someone push the connection back to test while I clear the code and nothing?
Definitely going to try I removed my battery to charge it and got the same lights on the dash including emergency calling deactivated and auto h for brakes and auto start/stop not working
@@IzzyE9X I will give it a shot tomorrow since I have the same harness on top of my battery and pretty sure I might of forgotten to plug it back in or it’s loose. I will give you a feedback a like and subscribe!
I have that anoying sht on E93 ,its something with rollover module internal error (pop up days after new battery installed) ,few service shops tried everything ,even flashing original module and buying new module but stupid sht just want go away and is so annoying ,even cover whole Idrive screen ,this for sure my last BMW
@@EasywipeTarkov Instead off wasting more money i use that money and bought from Ali Express Digital dashboard for 500 euro and i am so happy .Car now looks 10 years younger and much more modern and that annoying message is only tiny message down in screen that dont bother me at all and no more covering off Idrive ! So now i again love this car. Now i will drive like this and want repair it (because it can return again even if i miracle repair it so i would just waste a money ) ,i dont plan to rollover with this car and is almost impossible to roll it ,mine is almost to the ground with 19 inch wheels and M suspension
It was off for me, then my battery died. I called for support and then it showed up and does not go away. It was always there before but I took the car to BMW so they could remove and fixed whatever it was. After my battery died it shows up again? How can I fix? Should I take to BMW again?

Get a new I drive screen
check your fuses, most likely one popped
Will the scanner work on My 2011 328i BMW? Thanks in advance

bad BST is common, it’s actually fairly simple to replace. It’s one bolt from what I remember
@@IzzyE9X thank you I’ll give u an update 👍
@Randy R. have you replaced the BST red battery terminal?
Will this work on a bmw E60?
Yep!
Foxwell makes a bunch of scanners, is this one the best?
For the price, I’d say so!

What code is it throwing?
I found that that little sensor was in bad quality , need to just replace it
My airbag light is on after taking off my seat to shampoo the carpets. I can’t get it to go away
purchase a BMW scan tool, go to MRS Restraint System in the settings and clear the codes

Why are BMWs so annoying?!!

Didn't work for me 😢
Where you located
Texas brotha
yea don't think this is why the light is on mine , it showed up one day after the battery died and i jumped the car using the terminals under the hood
DM me on IG! @izzy.e9x
You probably damaged your electrical system. You’re supposed to jump bmw very specifically
300 layers of tape or a single ziptie!
the angle the connector is at doesn’t really allow a zip tie to be placed
Ballocks
use a glue gun
