Thanks for video, do this repair help for when fluid bypass to your implement, lifting it slowly when not operating the selector lever? Or is this only for a leak to the outside?
Nice work. If you are ever looking to convert to ISO and get rid of the leaky lock lever on those old 20s 30s and 40s. JD part "SW315-196". 2 piece (insert, coupling), seals back to manufacture locations with new o-rings and back-ups and gives connect/disconnect under pressure ISO couplings.
Fantastic video little did I know you could do this but I just ordered new fittings altogether but didn’t realize I still need the rings inside the main housing.
Thanks she sharing. Can you tell me if this kit will also work on a 2955 john deere tractor? When I looked at the description of the one you're working on it says "detail 50 series" not sure what that meant.
By some miracle I found this video. Thanks for putting the work in. I'm a 4440 owner. I know nothing about the scvs except apparantly mine aren't compatible with the new equipment. Should I rebuild a leaky pair or do the conversion to ISO, does that probably fix the leak as well? Thanks!
You're welcome! It's here to help people. Yours are the round-nose Deere style. I like to rebuild the originals and change the hose ends or run the adapters.

To fix an internal pressure leak like that you have to reseal the spools and usually regrind the face where they seal.
Thank you for posting this video. I was able to disassemble and reassemble my couplers without a hitch. Keep up the good work!
Thank you! you're welcome it's here to help others through it.

Thanks to your video I could replace o rings around the hydraulic couplings barrels on a John Deere 8520.
Stoped the leaking couplings
You're welcome glad it helped.
Awesome video Joe.
Thank you, Ben.

Great video! I was able to replace seals but now I can't get my hoses connected. Absolutely won't push in. Any ideas where i want wrong?
If you followed my video exactly, the final ring before the snap ring is backwards. I was talking about is as I put it in wrong.
Thanks for the very
informative video.
A very usefull video. TNX.
However at 16:06 the ring goes in wrong way. Made this same mistake myself....
You are correct, I did not realize either till after I had the video published.

This was a 4455 but the 50,55 60 are the same style, last two numbers of the model are the series. It should be the same for you.
Is their a way to just plug the 4 tube hoses that go to the rear? I don’t need those couplers anyway.
Yes, you can cap them at the remotes or up under the dash where the lines come out of the valve.
How did you crack the valve loose at 1:31? Mine won't budge.
Spanner wrench in the holes, hex clamped in a vice.
Hy what's the JD part no for the kit. My JD agent here in South Africa cannot find it

the lever on ours in leaking . Is there a way to remove it and replace the o ring?
Yes, there is. I do not have a video for it but am working on one for the older stye.

Clean it has to be kept clean and wash your hands and keep them clean
The two seals that go in the housing does it matter which way they are turned ? One side of the seal has a grove in it
Yes, The groove is what expands to hold the fluid under pressure. They will both point toward each other.
@@joe_preston Just did a remote on a 4560 and a 4055. Thank you for the video. I had the same question about the inner seals. Glad I found this video.
@@jacemillertriplemfarmsaz5019 You're welcome! I made it to help people tackle theirs.
I thought that was WALL-E for a moment.
Where did you get the rebuilt kit. How mucj did you pay
The kit is RE66985 Here is a link. amzn.to/3w0QlOU
Does a Jd 7800 have the same couplers?
I believe so they are just in the ISO stack casting after 60 series.
Every farmer in Texas can fix them
I thought I was looking at Wall-E for a moment.
