    Thanks, I need to do my 4630 ,I've done them before but they always seemed to leak a little! I think JD calls them pencil valves. Never seen the seat cutter but that sure makes sense!

    My bushings that hold the spring and poppets are flush with the plate. How do I get them to come out.

      If your cam and lever are still intact you can try rocking that back and forth. I've never had them stuck terribly bad. Most of the time they come off just taking the cover off. You get that couple that you got to rock the cam or move your lever. Otherwise you can grab with a pair of needle-nose pliers

    I have a scv off a 4230 that is leaking from the cover plate a month after I rebuilt it. Have you had any trouble with them square rubber packings? Should I just try new packins or put some sealant on them? Thanks also from MN :-)

    How to remove the lever that works the rocker?

    Hello, been looking for these stones now for a while. Would you be kind enough to share the part numbers for these. I took mine to the local green and yellow dealer after watching your video and they looked at me like I had two heads and didn’t know what I was talking about. They told me to take it to a machine shop, or buy a new block from them, real helpful. Thanks in advance.

    If you wanna look like a hockey player, hold your face in front of that spring loaded missle. Works great, ask me how I know.

      The round one at an angle? That is the detent. It's what holds the lever in neutral.

      Ah, ok. On each side below the lever is a hex head cap, uses a 1 inch wrench.
      Behind that you will see a small set screw on each side that uses an Allen wrench, remove them screws,
      Tilt the cam one way and drive the roll pin out, as you lift the cam out take a picture of the cams, they are specific.

    I have a 4440 that has a valve the creeps. Is it the same as as the 50 series. Can anyone that's a little mechanically inclined repair it?

    • @jonstevensmaplegrovefarms3754
      @jonstevensmaplegrovefarms3754  3 года назад

      You can swap a good 50 series on there. Then you have pioneer tips not John Deere.
      Anyone can rebuild these. Just a couple tips and tricks.
      I am hoping this winter to have a shop so people could mail then to me for a complete rebuild?
