This Walther PDP Compact is one of the top striker fired handguns on the market today. Excellent ergonomics, outstanding trigger, futuristic design, and insane reliability make this a top performer. Don’t sleep on Walther.

Absolutely love my 4.5" full size PDP. It's my nightstand piece equipped with a StreamLight for "nighttime guests". Currently running a Shadow Systems MR920 Elite for EDC, but this could be a contender for a new belt buddy. Only worry I have is, while the grip texture is fantastic when shooting, it may be a bit abrasive if you appendix carry and get a lot of rubbing. I will keep this in mind when it comes time for a new toy!

Is your skin wet paper towel? The grip is perfect and not even abrasive at all

Purchased this Compact model a few weeks ago. It has made me a much better shooter and I consider it a phenomenal firearm. You will not be disappointed if you purchase this

Walther is an amazing manufacturer and they create some of the most well thought out designs - they are completely underappreciated.
As European firearm designs go, I would gladly trade away any H&K handgun for the equivalent value of Walther pistols..

I bought a early 1.0 version 9mm 🚔 model; 3 dot night sights. I had it around 3yr. 2023 added a factory 18rd magazine. For holsters I bought a simple leather Muddy River tactical. I might get a C&G black kydex OWB if I choose to keep this 1.0 version.

My first firearm was the PDP Compact 4" and I have that same 17 round capacity mag! Keep hearing the Glock fanboys but, I am sticking with my Walther!

I'm sure they are excellent pistols. I find the design a little too rough for my taste. Just a bit too many edges. I know these aren't the most important points, but I also find the white writing on the walthers a little unaesthetic. That finally made me choose a cz p10.
    Thanks for your videos!

The P99AS is incredible. That final edition with all the refinements is really nice too.

I know what your talking about I live in New England I check out 3 diffrent gun stores 1 doesn't carry walther at all the other two there selection is very poor I lucked out finding my pdp full size with a 4.5 barrel I had know idea they would becoming out with the pro sd or I could of waited just buying the threaded barrel cost plus what my gen 1 cost I could have gotten all there extras for close to the same price but it's still and awsome pistol my groupings have improved considerably and everything is dead center even with my can on there I do much better than any of my other pistols 1 is a walther p99as I would never part with I think it's awsome it was my first stricker fired gun and the fact that it was double action single action makes it the perfect carry gun for me it's just loaded with innovation and the decocker is great if you want to stop to put a suppressor on my other pistol is a ppq tactical 45acp it holds 12 rounds the money wasn't bad plus my suppressor fits by changing the piston I love 45acp I find it has less kick than the 9mms and then I can't forget what made me a walther fan a 1985 walther ppk made by interarms I wish it was german made but it was licenced by walther says walther on it has german writing and for it's use time it still looks brand new I also have a ppk/s 22lr it looks cool but it's picky on ammo my ppq 22lr runs great fires bulk ammo and can be suppressed and a rim fire was the first can I got with the right sub sonic ammo mainly cci quiet auto it like Hollywood quiet.

How well has the 17 round PPQ magazine run through the gun? Any malfunctions or issues you have come across using them in the PDP Compact?

I bought a new 1.0 version a few years ago. 4" 9mm. I added a new 18rd PDP magazine 2023. The PDP model has fired around 1600 factory 9mm JHPs FMJs. No issues or feeding problems. I rarely use my PDP 9mm but it's high quality & I would ccw it, carry it.
