@siah5593 no I have small hands.. I actually liked the pdpf that has a smaller grip.. but I felt it was a little top-heavy which makes it a little Snappy. I wound up getting the Beretta apx A1 and has a lot less recoil and I got the Sig p365 XL to carry
You are absolutely right about basically losing interest in your other handguns. I pretty much just shoot this now. Its amazing. I cant believe how accurate it is.
I agree I’m blown away with how accurate I shoot this firearm. Have about 500 through it and no malfunction and it’s so light weight even when fully loaded light optic and all.
You got me with your thumbnail. I was prepared to come here, and argue that I love mine and recommend them highly. I have let several people at the range shoot them and a couple have said they would be buying one. I have a PDP 4.5 inch full size and 4 inch compact. I have over 25,000 rounds through my full size and 12,000 rounds through my compact, with no failures.I liked them so much I bought a full size for my son and a,PDP F for my daughter, they both love them too. The only problem I had was finding a shoulder holster for the gun. I did find a guy locally who makes custom holsters mostly for hunters and he made me three, one for each gun and then one that carries both, one on each side. He asked me why I wanted the double holster I said what if I get shot in the righr hand or otherwise lose use of it. Just another Walther fan.
Just bought one today. Sig p226 has been my go-to for 10 years. Haven’t considered a polymer pistol ever until I shot this one. For a CC gun, this is no less than amazing.
My first pistol was Walther PPQ 45. Absolutely amazing. I recently bought a used PDP 9mm, that came with with a Holosun 407K, 2 standard 14 round mags, and 16 round mag, a holster a and a case for $650 bucks. I put 500 rounds through it this month. Nothing short of amazing. Also what a steal. God bless Texas
I just did the exact same thing for the same price with the exact same setup. WPDP with the exact same mods, also used. Then they marked it down to $550 because the salesman messed up on my charges….
I own the Walther PDP compact LE Edition 4" (15+1), the Walther PDP Pro SD 5.1" (18+1), in addition to the Walther PPQ M2 45 4.25" (12+1). These 3 are some of the very best modern handguns of present time.
Everything about this pistol screams "I was built just for you Mike!" I have really big gorilla hands and this pistol fits me SOOO well. The serrations are the best, like you said a few times. The slide lock, release is perfectly shaped. The grip feels like it was molded just for my hands. Best trigger hands down, period. I put a Floyds Custom magwell on mine, (but that did mean I had to spend more money on mag extensions, oh well) and it makes the grip feel even better, more secure in my hand. I have a Holosun 508T on top that compliments this thing beautifully. Zero slide-bite from the slide. And the return to zero is so fast and predictable. This is the best polymer frame pistol, hands down, on the market, in my opinion. I switched from my Glock 17 to the PDP for my service pistol, and I've NEVER looked back.
I'm currently trying to decide on buying a Glock 19 Gen 5 or a PDP Compact 4" for cc and range fun. I have a Dagger but don't like the way the slide seems to sit uneven and a bit loose. I'm really struggling with deciding which one to buy.
I recently purchased a slightly used PDP compact not ever checking out a Walther firearm before. Its previous owner had installed Trijicon night sights (another advantage for me) which are awesome too! I’m so amazed at how this gun feels in the hand, almost like it was molded for my hand custom fit! The slide, I refer to the serrated cuts as mud grips, as rugged as they look, feel amazing as you rack the slide! Great job Walther! And great job to you Sir on this video and content!
I'm left handed- the ambi controls are great. I carry my Walther PDP Compact- 4" in a Blackhawk Leather belt loop IWB holster. It's a great gun. I DO love my Canik METE SF, and my Grand Power Q100. The PDP, just feels great in my large hands, is totally reliable, and is very accurate. The only mod I've done so far, is install a set of Trijicon night sights. I'm just not a red dot shooter at this point. Great review!
I have the PDP PRO SD Compact 4” and the 3.5" f-series....my usual favorites sit in the safe now. I strongly recommend the Walther Performance Trigger upgrade too.
What's the deal with the Pro Compact? Don't they force you to use the extended mags that brings you to 18 rounds which is a full size pistol at that point? How does the F feel? I know it's supposed to be for women but it's more of a carry size.
I just recently bought my first handgun for concealed carry. It is a Canik TP9 Elite Combat. I absolutely love that gun. A good friend of mine said “you know why it’s such a good gun? Because they cloned it after the Walther design”. Me not knowing too much about Walther’s, he let me shoot his PDP and he shot my Canik. He actually praised my Canik and the upgrades Salient arms did with Canik on the Elite Combat. Such as the barrel and the good, heavy steel rear sight and fiber optic steel front sight. He loved the trigger on it, as do I. I was equally impressed with his Walther even though I don’t know a lot about the different brands out there. I love the serrations on the Walther! the grip is incredible. So guess what I just did last week? Ordered a Walther PDP! I have a really nice Walther clone. So I figured why not get the original! Cool video!
@@brendon9032 canik’s CZ75 clones were good too I hear, I don’t think they get imported anymore though. Apparently the company also makes modernized M2 Browning machine guns as well
Yep, Clone of the Walther P99... I bought a Walther P99 when it first came out after seeing it used as James Bond's gun in the movie "Tomorrow Never Dies" in 1997..
Bought both Walther 4: PDP I mean awesome trigger and the best grips, nxt favorite is the CANIK METE 5" BARREL better trigger i think then the Walther but the grips are better on the Walther, but you can't go wrong, the Walther was around $550 and CANIK was 575 - 600 THE BEST GUNS FOR THE PRICE ,I definitely don't need any more hand guns thats how GOOD THEY ARE ,go to a gun show or shop and try there Triggers u will be amazed 😊
I agree with your comments 100% as I now only want to shoot my 4.5 inch Walther PDP and my other handguns are getting extended time in the safe for the foreseeable future. In addition to the $40 to $50 PDP mags, I am now “having” to order mag baseplates, upgraded blackstrap and magwell all from Taylor Freelance to make this my new IDPA carry optics gun.
Gun mag warehouse has them for 36 to 40 right know. I agree with you I still love my p10 f I have the pro pdp though that trigger is great. I am upgrading all p10 c/ p10f to overwatch triggers makes them very similar. Although pro has just a bit less take up. I am just about to buy some of Taylor Freelance products myself, looks like great quality and price honestly.
Brother, your thoughts are just like mine. When I started buying guns, I went for popularity. I bought Glock, Sigs, Springfield, S and W and others before buying the PDP. It 100% is the best gun I’ve owned.
If i had found the Walther PDP compact 5 before i ever picked up a Glock, I'd probably not have Glocks. My 1911 is a keeper though... There is nothing about the Walther design that doesn't make it a better weapon. Love it.
My only worry is that because I have such a high support hand grip, I'll pin the slide release and won't get slide lock back. Glocks have aftermarket raised slide releases, but PDP doesn't really have a whole bunch of aftermarket support. Also I appreciate a reviewer who can actually shoot. Nice sub 6in groupings. Nothing makes me discredit a review faster than when the reviewer throws rounds all over a huge man shaped silhouette target at 20 yards
Is there a solution for the slide release? Aftermarket part? I’m thinking of buying one but I can see this as a BIG problem. I shot a H&K VP9 and had this problem with it, slide stop/release lever is in about the same spot. Didn’t have an issue with a Glock19, it’s release is small and further forward.
After getting a Walther PPK-S stainless steel .380 40 years ago as my only handgun, I started looking for another handgun. When the PPQ came out I really wanted one, still do but when I saw this new PDP v2.0 compact Red dot ready I told my wife about it and she bought one for me. She got herself the fantastically small new S&W Bodyguard 2.0 .380 for CC as she has small hands. Every thing mentioned in this video I can attest to. I got the new Holosun CSC Green Dot which was made specifically for the PDP. I originally wanted the less expensive Fastfire C but couldn’t find a mount plate for it. The Holosun even matches the rear serrations on the slide that makes it look like it’s part of the gun and not an add on an needs no mount plate! Just put the first 100 rounds through it and lovevlovevlove it! Green dot solar sight was right on out of the box and has co-witness with the guns sights because it mounts so low on the slide.
Glad to hear this as a first time buyer. I have heard such high reviews of the walther and dude at the shop said if i mail my serial number and receipt i get 150 free round. Gun felt great. Made the glocks seem like shit
I love my Walther PDP, but apparently I am the only person to have a problem with the pistol. My gun has about 1000 rounds through it and 3 times the trigger has jammed after reset. No travel to the wall at all and complete jam. Twice it did not clear with emergency reload and eventually it unjammed due to whatever I did to it. Sunday was the 3rd time it happened in the middle of a run and gun multiple targets for time. I contacted Walther and waiting to hear what they want to do. Its about 6 months old.
Bruh, I just picked up the 4" compact version and was thinking maybe I made a mistake based on your vid title alone. (I understand it's a lil snappier than the full size, but still--all compacts are..) Glad I clicked and watched to the end. Can't wait to take it to the range!
My first handgun purchase I bought it just about 2yrs ago and I’m still in love with it ❤😂tbh might get the full size next !! I have the 4” compact black an OD green never used a sight on it though but still shoots amazing
Traded in my PPQ for the PDP 4" and love it. Crazy accurate and just feels perfect in my hand. You're right about spending money though, just ordered my 2nd holster and haven't even received my first yet.
I ain't gonna trade in my PPQ. Thing felt okay in the hand. Just threw some talon pro grips on it and now it feels phenomenal. I am gonna get a compact pdp 5 inch though, so they can share mags.
@@Catgat37 Yeah, I'd say the only notable improvement for me between the two is the grip texture. People say the PDP has a better trigger than the PPQ but from what I can tell, it feels the same. And I actually prefer the finger grooves on the PPQ. I don't like red dot sights either so I'm happy sticking with the PPQ. I think it was a smart move by Walther to re-release this gun as the PDP because the PPQ was just always under the radar and now it's finally getting the love it deserved.
@@SolDizZo I personally really like it. I can understand that it is not necessarily for everyone. Does have a bit snappier recoil impulse than some firearms, but you get used to it. Gun snaps and then comes back on target pretty quick and usually right back to poa. I have put 700 rounds through it and it runs great.
I just came across this video after I got back from the gun store and I tried out the PDP-F. I was about to post that you're out of your mind. It was hands down the absolute best gun I've tried to date and I've been trying them all! It felt like it was custom made for me the instant I picked it up. The trigger is absolutely amazing. If there's a better gun out there I haven't seen it yet.
I’ve had mine now for about two months or so, 5 inch barrel compact handle, and I have put about 450 rounds through it, had one dud Federal ammo 115 grain misfire and after 200 rounds of federal, I switched to certified reloads at a cool $.25 each bought by the thousand and the gun miss fired or jammed three or four times in every 10 round magazine, disappointed with it I took it home and cleaned it and oiled it, I never oiled it when I bought it new it had some little dabs here and there, and shot another 300 rounds of reloads no misfire after cleaning and oiling, so my experience? It’s an excellent, larger, size pistol, but I highly recommend oiling it with some quality oil before shooting, I’m convinced that’s why I had issues, I highly recommend one!
I hate/love my Walther PDP 5" Full Size for the same reasons. The accuracy, grip, recoil, etc.....fabulous. Too big for EDC so I would like to get the 4" 15-round Compact now.
I shoot my P365XL build significantly more than my PDP. It's just flat out more fun to shoot. I've considered changing some things up on the PDP, but I'm not sure if it's worth it. I could just switch to Smith or go back to Glock which I shot fine, but the options for optics ready slides just weren't there for the 19.5 at the time. PS. The grip texture is actually really weak. I don't know if mine is just worn down after a year+, but it's honestly kinda slippery. I genuinely don't understand why they gave us the terrible texture on the front strap. Front and back strap should be AGGRESSIVE, and the side texture should be close to what you get with Smith. As for the slide serrations, the P10F is more aggressive and they aren't as deep. As for hot spots, I found that right above my knuckle on my thumb I actually do get a bit of a hot spot if I choke up really aggressively. Never had that issue with Glock. The grip of the P10F, and the Wilson Combat Module are definitely more ergonomic for me. I really hope people don't take this video super seriously. This is not an objective review of the PDP. It's a good gun, but it is not THIS good. It needs more grip texture, the slide is overly bulky for no reason, the trigger is decent but honestly triggers aren't something I really fuss about, the optic cut is deep but that isn't really a selling point since you can get other guns milled or you can buy something like a Shadow systems that has a deep cut. If you buy the PDP thinking it's going to be the BEST, then you might end up really happy or really dissapointed. I bought it because it was optics ready, and I wanted to give Walther a chance. Now that I've given it a chance, I think I'm just going to stick with Smith or Glock in the future for polymer and BUL for 2011's.
My department made me put in a heavier trigger spring from the stock PDP one :( lol it was like 3.75lbs from the factory, we need at least 5lbs trigger pull for semi-auto guns lol.
I like the full size better than the compact. Less muzzle flip and dead accurate. The PDP sd with the tactical barrel and the upgraded trigger is simply amazing
Question.. by "fullsize" are u just referring to the 5inch barrel or ? Do u have the "compact" grip or the "fullsize" grip? And do u think grip would make a difference in what you were saying? Reason I ask, is i got the 5inch but with a compact grip. I'm thinking that a grip wouldn't make a difference and it would feel the same as yours,no? I'm hoping that wouldn't make a difference so it will be dead accurate and less muzzle rise/recoil like your ur saying
I love my pdp. Really it's only negative is the high bore access which can be mitigated with a stronger grip. Ended up getting their 50n tungsten guide rod and grabbed a brass backstrap painted black and that really helped balance out the pistol. I've put over 4k rounds through mine and have had multiple issues with their "new" magazines with the blue follower. The springs are MUCH weaker than the original ones that came with the red followers. Once the magazine has seen maybe 400 rounds they become far too weak and star causing failure to feeds.
and the stronger grip comes natural with aggressive texturing and ergonomics of the grip. My fiance got me the 4" Full Size and I am in love...with her too
@@merdith6 It's honestly a non issue once you find an efficient grip.... Sure the felt recoil may seem "snappy" but due to the ergonomics of the pistol you're able to snap that dot right on target with great balance.
Agreed. I bought the gun for my wife, but thank God I didn’t tell her that. She’ll be fine with the one she already has. I absolutely love my Archon type B, I shoot it well & it feels great in my hand - this may be even better + the PDP is optic ready
Love my PDP, but I shoot my VP9 so much better naturally. I’m sure training more with the PDP would iron out my wrinkles but the only guy and I like more than the PDP is the VP nine and it’s just because I have never naturally shot a gun better. Build quality and all of that stuff I would say they’re pretty equal and it’s really kind of like Ferrari Lamborghini in my eyes. I’m just so glad I have both and I would hate to have to pick one but if I had to pick just one I would have to go with the VP9 just because I feel I’d shoot it better under stress.
@@ppac300 yes I believe so. It’s the one that comes Optic-ready with 17 round magazines. I definitely got it around 2020ish. But I do not know how long they had it in stock if it was brand new, or if it had been sitting there for a year or 2. I got a feeling it was pretty new because they didn’t have many of them with the optic ready slide.
Looked at the PDP compact. At first I really wasn’t that impressed. I thought about it for about two or three weeks and researched whatever I could find on the firearm. I decided to take a chance and really my biggest hangup was I felt the grip texture was not aggressive enough. I have about 500 to 600 rounds through this firearm as of this post and I could not be more happy that I purchased it. It feels good in the hand, it has a great angle and it is certainly making me a better shooter. Nothing but good things here.
I also live in South Florida, so I'm extra glad I went with a stainless steel slide with our salty humid air. But that Walther looks way more comfortable than my Taurus. I've been thinking about looking towards a steel framed PDP as my next gun.
Just picked mine up yesterday. It doesn't suck nearly as much as you claim. It sucks just as much as my other Walthers. Edit: After an additional 150 rounds today, this gun may suck more than my other Walthers. Sadly will have to wait a while to get an optic for it.
I cant wait. Ive been going to one of my local ranges and shooting several different pistols to find one i liked. This is my first pistol, and so i wanted to take my time and find something I'd like. Well, I now have a full size 5in PDP on a layaway and it's gonna be coming home in 2 weeks with my next check. Cant wait.
I just bought a full size last week. Only put 100 through it so far , love it . I have over grown hands and I love the grip. Did I mention I love the grip.
I just bought mine a couple of weeks ago. Why does Walther sell an aftermarket “performance”trigger? Does that make any sense? Any pointers? Thanks for the awesome video!
Getting my first CC pistol this week hopefully. Altho I spent my childhood shooting lots of everything w my firearm collector Judge father 😂. he'd be proud of my choice. I hope my shop has one in stock so I can feel it n try it. Bro u absolutely sold me. I'm also a lefty, so my options I was looking at, not a big pool. Sigp365, HK vp9, and this (don't want the standard Glock) my father despised Glocks. I'm almost 39! I can't believe it's taken me this long! Pops passed at 18yo. Ty! 🙏👍👊

Bahahaha when I saw the title of this video I was thinking “noooooo I want this gun so baaad” and now that I’ve watched the video, I’m getting it with the grey frame!
Hey I was thinking the same thing. I'm also thinking how do you go about getting a different color, I saw tan green and gray, do you just have to check dealers and see what they're offering? Im looking to get the same sized one in the video 4-in barrel full grip.✌🏻
Good Day! I appreciate your video and review! If I may make a suggestion? Please include the specifics; brand, item number of accessories you've added into your description, as it will help us out. I was able to find the Streamlight - TLR 7A - after reading through ALL of the comments, but I missed the specs on the Red Dot. If you mentioned it, and I missed it, my bad! Thanks!
I laughed out loud at the opening. Who would slag a PDP? 😂 I tried and tried to get one but none available, so bought a Sig 320 RXP as the runner up. One day I'll get my hands on that PDP. 🙏
I have also version 1 of the PDP. I read a lot in the net about the reddot mounting issue/worries of some poeople. But do anybody had really a problem with the version 1(loose screws,....)?
Definitely will be my next gun. I have the P 99 and I love it. Thank you for the review. Keep them videos coming. Thank you for sharing this great review. Appreciate you very much. Stay safe out there.🫡
The PDP 4” is my favorite gun - period and I own 5 Wilson 1911’s, 2 EDC X9’s and a Nighthawk Bull - I will never spend monet again 9:53 except for another PDP, a Pro, a steel frame and a 4.5” - they are that good!
just a worse version of this, not a fan of that gun. the trigger is terrible. theres your personalized short review haha. im not going to waste money on one though
I have to admit you’ve got me with the video title. But I’ve expected the outcome of this video. I’ve bought the Walther Q5 SF expert for iron sight competitions, I didn’t like the trigger and the slide of the CZ Shadow 2. As a German, picking the Walther has a neat little advantage, if you are shooting state or nation wide competition, there is always a Walther booth with spare parts should you need one. Unfortunately I can’t buy as many 9mm guns as I want, but I can buy a second for competitions wich are done with optics. So the FullSize PDP Pro SD will be my next 9mm ❤
I have it and it kicks ass! Amazing trigger. Super grip. Love the mag well. Got the optic plate in a week. Slide is great. Barrel is fantastic. Best handgun ever. Worth every penny.
First time buyer, and shooter. The 5" compact was what i bought, $579 on consignment, brother told me it looks to have barely been used. Shop owner said i won't regret, that it will be hard to find another PDP at this price, and condition. Was gonna get a Beretta APX A1, opted to spend the extra $180 for PDP. 600 rounds in, and effing love this thing!
hi Maximus !! I jsut bought it and it's really great (I like also my CZ TS2) ! . I'm just struggling to set the holosun red dot. What do you advice to "set it" ? SHould I set it for 25m and it will work for shorter distance as well ?
Two of the best OR pistols out of the box optic wise, is the PDP and the FN 509. The biggest issue with the majority of OR pistols are the fact that the optics cut was an after thought, with the PDP and 509 it was built with the intent to be OR.
Was able to pick up a PDP 4.5" for $480 with optic and talked Dad into getting a PDP Pro for $650 also with optic. Sportsman's actually has decent sales sometimes.
I've had so many misfires with mine. Any suggestions? Running Winchester and red army. Same goes through my h&k vp9l and have had zero issues in that gun..
Title caught my eye but I had a feeling this was the direction it was going to go. lol. I'm leaning 90/10 towards the PDP over the echelon for an upcoming purchase.
I agree! Only thing I don't like is the finish on the slide is already wearing. I've had it for a month and a half and the sharp, pointy edges on the slide are worn through to bare metal the gun hasn't seen a holster yet. If it's not in my hand it's in the case. Other than that, this pistol is stellar.
I have 3000 rd on mine with quite a few draws from a holster. I have practically no wear on the slide. What are you doing to wear through the finish like that?
@@Murphy82nd Nothing I can pinpoint. The gun is never holstered. If it's not in my hand, it's in the case or on a clean table. This really bugs me. I may see if Walther will warranty this. If not, I'll buy another damn slide. The Walther is the only firearm I own with this problem. I'm not into the "battle worn" look. I prefer my little arsenal stay as close to pristine as I can keep them.
@@zpacleb typically it’s not the casings scratching the finish, but actually the reverse assuming you’re using brass. Those are brass marks left on the finish itself. You can often get them out with a solvent if you try.

If they every have them in stock
What's the deal with the Pro Compact? Don't they force you to use the extended mags that brings you to 18 rounds which is a full size pistol at that point? How does the F feel? I know it's supposed to be for women but it's more of a carry size.
@@mc4056if you take the magwell off, it fits the std 15 round mags. Nothing else needed.
How does the f-series feel compared to the pro compact?
Was wondering the same thing.@@Mike_Hawkener
Cool video!
I had the same thing happen when I bought my mete. Then I ran out and bought a pdp lol
@@brendon9032 canik’s CZ75 clones were good too I hear, I don’t think they get imported anymore though. Apparently the company also makes modernized M2 Browning machine guns as well
I just traded my tp9 elite combat in towards the purchase of my PDP Pro ( my 2nd PDP ). The combat was excellent it just wasn’t the same.
Just replaced my bedside HK with a PDP compact. I love it! I’m probably going to get a PDP F for carry.
I think I’m gonna pick up the pro SD compact soon. Not a fan of the mag well but definitely want the threaded barrel and upgraded trigger
What’s your optic?
Trijicon rmr
Thanks for this review! Does your video stay full ad available or does it get ad limited because of the content and a few cuss words?
I know this is an older post but I heard that someone is working on a shorter slide release for the PDP's. Keep an eye out.
Made the glocks seem like shit
they are
Just wait until you upgrade to the Dynamic Performance Trigger. By far the best, most comfortable gun ever. Love mine.
I for one wouldn't mind an update on this sir. Thanks!
That’s a bummer
@@bobbyraejohnson they fixed it within 7 days and paid for shipping. Lifetime warranty
Bruh, I just picked up the 4" compact version and was thinking maybe I made a mistake based on your vid title alone. (I understand it's a lil snappier than the full size, but still--all compacts are..) Glad I clicked and watched to the end. Can't wait to take it to the range!
You can delete the snap by adding a brass backstrap and brass magwell. I installed “LokGrips” brand on mine
Hey man please let me know exactly what type of optic that is on it and laser. The setup and color is so clean!!!
This exactly what happened to me. I have full size 5” PDP and never shoot anything else for last three years.
How has your experience been after 2 months?
@@SolDizZo I personally really like it. I can understand that it is not necessarily for everyone. Does have a bit snappier recoil impulse than some firearms, but you get used to it. Gun snaps and then comes back on target pretty quick and usually right back to poa. I have put 700 rounds through it and it runs great.
LOOOOOOVE my PPQ. I wouldn’t have gotten rid of it but added to your Walthers
4 inch pdp-f rules
Triggers aren’t anything to fuss about???? How are they not??
My department made me put in a heavier trigger spring from the stock PDP one :( lol it was like 3.75lbs from the factory, we need at least 5lbs trigger pull for semi-auto guns lol.
I really like your review and setup. Can you please share what red dot and light you installed on your PDP 4" compact? Thanks!
My fiance got me the 4" Full Size and I am in love...with her too
Axis
Yeah the high bore axis is a really big problem with pistols I mean how can you even shoot it like that. 😂
@@merdith6 It's honestly a non issue once you find an efficient grip.... Sure the felt recoil may seem "snappy" but due to the ergonomics of the pistol you're able to snap that dot right on target with great balance.
@@DarylRagland-ds1op I swear I typed AXIS, I'm blaming my auto-correct on this one LMAO,
Great video! I found the TLR7A light, but what brand and model are your sights? Looks like Trijicon. Thanks!
Agreed. I bought the gun for my wife, but thank God I didn’t tell her that. She’ll be fine with the one she already has. I absolutely love my Archon type B, I shoot it well & it feels great in my hand - this may be even better + the PDP is optic ready
You just messed up as she reads what you wrote. She’s going to come home and ask you to give it up. Full ATF on your ass 😂🤣😂
Got to get one.
Do you have the 2020?
the VP9 was tested all the way to 80,000 rounds n was built with hard duty in mind - was the PDP built with same intentions
HK 100%
Great vid! What light do you have on it?
Yeah, that grip texture is hands down the best. Second is M&P but man! I wish I could have that texture on all my guns.
Right?!?!
Cant wait.
After I bought the PDP compact/full size, it’s been 3 years main go to for CC.
I just bought a full size last week. Only put 100 through it so far , love it . I have over grown hands and I love the grip. Did I mention I love the grip.
Where can I get that flashlight & dot? Looks perfect on that gun
The title almost had me 😂, I thought the same about my 1911. Damn thing almost ruined other pistols for me until I grabbed one of these.
For all of the PDP F series owners out there... I'm trying to find out what the best concealed carry holster is for a new concealed person.
Ty! 🙏👍👊
Unfortunately I'm in NY, So I'm capped At 10. Is this EXACT size n configuration available for 10 rounds? Or do I have to make the handle smaller. I really wanna keep that nice big handle.
Just ordered the compact 4-in barrel and after watching this review and many others I'm really really excited for it to come in.....
This video is hilarious because the title pissed me off. You see, I love my PDP. So, someone saying that it "suck" caught my attention immediately. Mission accomplished. Your click bait worked. 🤣
Are you recommending the

I have two now… Probably gonna get an F-Series too…😢
I bought one without ever firing it. Just held it in my hand and said that was the one
What brand suppressor did you use and what brand of ear protection did you use?
Just purchased a Walther PDP Full Size 4.5" and should be getting it this week. Cant wait.
Just my first gun... the PDP. What ammo do you recommend for Home defense?
Bahahaha when I saw the title of this video I was thinking “noooooo I want this gun so baaad” and now that I’ve watched the video, I’m getting it with the grey frame!
Hey I was thinking the same thing. I'm also thinking how do you go about getting a different color, I saw tan green and gray, do you just have to check dealers and see what they're offering? Im looking to get the same sized one in the video 4-in barrel full grip.✌🏻
What are your light and the red dot? They look great have perfect fit on your PDP.

To anyone who carries this as an EDC, is it too big? Or are you able to conceal it well?

will you be doing a review on the springfield echelon?
just a worse version of this, not a fan of that gun. the trigger is terrible. theres your personalized short review haha. im not going to waste money on one though
Where can I find the extended mag and silencer in your video?
I watched the full 20m video and I did not see where you said if you like the gun or not....
I have it and it kicks ass! Amazing trigger. Super grip. Love the mag well. Got the optic plate in a week. Slide is great. Barrel is fantastic. Best handgun ever. Worth every penny.
What's the suppressor model and brand again? Anybody ❓️
This has got to be the most enthusiast gun review I’ve ever seen! 😁
That's a threaded barrel? Is that standard on all PDP's?
hi Maximus !! I jsut bought it and it's really great (I like also my CZ TS2) ! . I'm just struggling to set the holosun red dot. What do you advice to "set it" ? SHould I set it for 25m and it will work for shorter distance as well ?
sight it in at 20-25 yards
In terms of magazines I still have my PPQ ones and they work fine in my compact 5in Barrel model
Two of the best OR pistols out of the box optic wise, is the PDP and the FN 509. The biggest issue with the majority of OR pistols are the fact that the optics cut was an after thought, with the PDP and 509 it was built with the intent to be OR.
What light do you have on yours?
Has the grip the same feeling like the PPQ? I really enjoyed the latter.
Was able to pick up a PDP 4.5" for $480 with optic and talked Dad into getting a PDP Pro for $650 also with optic. Sportsman's actually has decent sales sometimes.
What happened to your Zev? Do you like the PDP better than the Zev you had?
yes, much much more. no gun comes close
Probably going to get on of these or an XDM OSP 10mm I can’t decide.
Hello, great video. One question maybe I missed this in the video. Is it a full size grip with the 4 inch barrel?
I do believe so
I've had so many misfires with mine. Any suggestions? Running Winchester and red army. Same goes through my h&k vp9l and have had zero issues in that gun..
I use Browning FMJ and HP and have had no issues.
Though I've only shot it sub 500 times so take that as you will.
What size did you go with?
The F model feels even better. Didn't think that would be possible, but they done it.
@@Murphy82nd
Nothing I can pinpoint.
I was surprised how beat up mine was on the ejection port after the first time i used it. The ejecting casings scratched the hell out of the finish.
@@zpacleb typically it’s not the casings scratching the finish, but actually the reverse assuming you’re using brass. Those are brass marks left on the finish itself. You can often get them out with a solvent if you try.
