I was raped (as an adult) and I told my brother and father.
They immediately went straight to the guy and beat him nearly to death.
That's how I imagine any parent/ family member should respond when a victim discloses something so life- changing.
It doesn't undo what happened, but it affirms your value in yourself because you know that you are deeply loved.
I didn't ask them for that.

While I agree, I will say before anyone goes and beats anyone be sure the allegations are true. I’m not saying that you’re lying, I’m just saying that we have seen countless times where these women will lie about men assaulting them. Once you are certain that the allegation are true tho, I’m all for that monster being put down in the slowest and most painful way possible

You have to be a little careful what you tell children. Don't tell them "I'll kill anyone who does that to you!" because they may not WANT you to "kill" the person close to them, they just want the abuse to stop. Instead, tell the child .. "Some people have a touching problem, if you are ever in that situation please tell me so we can get them help .."

Susie needs to go to the police in that district, even now, and report every male man that is doing that in that Amish community. Tell the local and national newspapers. Tell the tv reporters. Tell their names to all these people. Fight for the babies, young girls and boys, and women that are abused by these monsters

I live in Wisconsin. Our family has a lake house near where Susie lived. It put things into perspective for me all of the summers when I was swimming or on our family boat, Susie was enduring abuse not too far away. It’s not fair that she had her childhood taken away. Susie, thank you for sharing your heartbreaking story.

I live in a Swartzentruber community, not Amish myself but have alot of Amish interaction. My husband stopped at one yesterday, they had 4 little girls running around outside with their rubber boots on, so sweet and innocent. To think you were one of those little girls and had to deal with that is unimaginable! A mother blaming her daughter how horrific you lived in a nightmare! I pray the Lord Jesus heals you from all these memories!

I believe most states have no statute of limitations. So at any time for years to come this can still be reported, they get charged and convicted and do time. At least while they're put away in prison it won't be happening. But honestly the best sentence a pedophile could ever receive is a solid headlong push off a skyscraper. Don't fool yourselves, they CAN NOT BE REHABILITATED.

In the past when I saw the older Amish women who never seem to smile, I used to think how stern and angry they looked. Now, I wonder what they have gone through in their lives - never mind the constant pregnancy and caring for a dozen+ children, but the abuse and violence against them. Yes, I know it's not all Amish who tolerate this, but the number of these horrific cases makes me think it isn't rare either. It has certainly shattered my perception of a moral, self sufficient, independent community that I once admired.

Eli your channel is encouraging me to move forward with a healing ministry that I believe the Lord spoke to me about back in 2010. Thank you for doing these videos. I am not Amish but I bet your channel is going to open up a door for people that are affected by this type of abuse coming out of other religions as well. I did not have the same experience but I was molested by a 17-year-old cousin when I was 11 but he only used his hand and he did that while I was asleep on the floor and I woke up and was afraid to talk because he was so much bigger than me and older than me but I did tell my brother and my brother told my dad and my dad went over there and tore their house apart ripping doors off hinges trying to get to my cousin who took off out his bedroom window and then his parents shipped him off to Maryland. Interestingly enough that was over 30 years ago and he is currently in prison for molesting his wife's daughter that was not his daughter. This is a spirit that is getting in those men it's not a human thing it's a spiritual Wicked perversion and a demonic power.

I went down the road, in which some Amish people lived. I asked for help and they turned me away. I also remember when I was a child, my parents buying produce off these same Amish people and cheese.
It really made me start looking different at not only the Amish, but everyone after that. Because I was just wanting help.
My cousin indeed spent several years imprisoned, due to sexually assaulting me. This was over 10 years ago.

It is human nature for the women in the family to not want to hold the men accountable for sexual abuse, because if they spoke up, then they would also likely lose their primary relationship as well as financial support and maybe have to change their whole way of life. The cognitive dissonance is huge. It’s not just the Amish, but it is eye-opening to realize that no one is apparently immune from sexual abuse.

      I agree with you 1,000%.
And with what Eli says here, to explain for them what could be happening, amongst so much more, is the victims have been through so much that it's so hard to go back into all of that.
And I totally get it how they can save so many others from being victimized and also being able to come forward if they, the initial victim comes forward. And you know these perpetrators have victims that go back even before what we think would be the initial victim.
And after 56 years of studying psychopathy I could validate Their Fear and that they would be at risk because these rapists are psychopaths. Is every rapist a psychopath? Well I can tell you that every rapist is a narcissist. But every rapist who rapes a child, now that's absolutely a psychopath. I can also tell you that everyone should really be afraid of a narcissist and a psychopath. They get revenge.

I went to visit victims in the hospitals, I was on call and victims would call me to let me know what happened to them. I was even able to tell my story of one of the rapes at gunpoint, to a reporter who wanted to report my story and share it as a Rape Crisis news story. The best advice I can give you is, Keep telling your stories because it heals your soul. For example, If I put a dollar in front of you and told you , that is my dollar, you wouldn't take it. A Rapist will take it, because he thinks he is entitled. Rape has nothing to do do with sex, It is all about control. God Bless and keep you. Follow Jesus and he will heal your soul!✝📖🙏

Listening to your story reminds me that sins of the father are handed down to the 3rd and 4th generations-who knows how many generations this has gone on for but I pray in the name of Jesus that it gets broken. I am saddened to know not only it happened, it was covered up, your mother did nothing to stop it, and this happens more than anyone realizes. Thank you for telling your story-you are not alone.

Your heart goes out to the young Susie Miller - I suspect she was, as a young woman, quite naïve and simple - far more than even the average Amish young person would be -(I say that because most teenage girls are going to ask someone something about what a period is, etc.). That is also probably the reason her brothers and family members took advantage of her. These children/young people need to be doubly protected - not thrown to the predators.
I hope she is doing okay now in life - I mean. I'm glad to hear that she is doing her best to protect her own children.

How old is she now? When did she get married and how old are her children?
This same SIN is prevalent in Mormon society and in the Apostolic Lutherans, and old Apostolic churches. I know it's in Catholic schools, orphanages and homes. I feel if you can't watch your children bringing more 'victim-turned-predator' people into this world is criminal. Shows 'mama' let 'daddy' have his way constantly and passed on the sin. I Really want to know is she HAPPY and at PEACE? How does she feel about God? Can she love a man?

She was made to feel that it wouldn't do any good to try to be strong. Is made to feel early on that she just had to go along with what anybody wanted to to do to and that she had absolutely no power to say anything or do anything.

I'm very happy to hearThe testimonies of true Redemption and rescue from the bondage of a religious spirit that holds many captive even until today and it's not just the Amish the spirit of religion is in every cult. For instance biblically the Catholic church is a cult, Mormons are a cult, Jehovah's witnesses are a cult much like many other false churches.

Poor woman, I'm so sorry she went through that. It sounds like her mother knew, but she turned a blind eye to keep the peace. You would be surprised how often that happens. Some mothers will push another female, even a child, in front of an abuser, so THEY can avoid the abuse for themselves. Its like a "thank God its not happening to me" mindset.

I am so sorry for the things she has been through and for the way that the Amish community treated her as if she was the perpetrator I used to really respect this religion. I never understood it and I thought some things were absurdity but I did respect how hard it would be to live this way especially nowadays how much dedication you would have to have to live the way they preach I live in Wichita, Kansas and I know we have some Amish orders out here, but I have never had an interaction with an Amish person, it’s sad, but realistic to think that they are just as fallible as the rest of us.. seems like more so in someways because they’re not willing or some of them. A lot of them are not willing to call the actual police on their family. If their families doing messed up stuff like this seems more like a cult now than a religion.
