Thank you Alex! Another insightful video with great explanation. Looking forward to more M17 tips, as well as utilising the SSL function to adjust on the fly 👍🏻
Yes please for a video that goes through the settings you use on your M17
Thank you for taking the time. First time with the M17, I finally purchased the Sanwa servo and esc. Thank you for stating the SDHC card. I was having a hard time trying to find the right card.
Thanks Alex. This is easier to understand than any other tutorial!
hi Alexander congratulations on your beautiful video
I wanted to ask you another thing but once I have saved all my various settings on the SD card inside the radio control and I have created various types of programs to load them into the servo,
do I always have to connect the servo via cable to the radio control or can I do it via the SD without having to connect it to the radio control?
Brilliant video - thank you very much Alex!!!!
Hi sir I have a question I just got m17 radio and I think it a bit over my head ? There’s way to much going on but my first question is can I use this radio with the Arrma line ? Also can any gyro work wirh this radio ?
Yes, this radio is compatible with a gyro. ruclips.net/video/CYdFnTvjsHI/видео.html
Super helpful, thanks for sharing!
Great content on the topic. It is a field so poorly understood and thank you for explain in detail how it works.
Hello my name is Jerry Freckleton. I’ve been watching your videos on the M 17. Very informative. My question can you do a video on how the mixing. And how it works and what you’re able to do with the mixing. Thank you. I enjoy watching your videos at work quite a bit from there and it has open my imagination to other ideas..
Hi Jerry, thanks for your message! I'm glad that you like my videos! Unfortunately, I don't know how to use the mixing function. But there should be plenty of videos on RUclips which explains how to use them:

hi, i need a suggestion. I bought a Power HD S35 servo that claims compatibility with Sanwa's SSL and PGS systems. I connected the servo to the USB port of my M17, but the radio does not notice the connected servo. what can I do?? thank you in advance.
The PowerHD servo has no compatibility with SSL programming as far as I am aware. It should be programmable with PowerHD's own separate programming card though.
how often do you change settings. specifically for CRC carpet.
let's say from USIC, to CTSR, to Pro level (for your mod touring), is it usually a set and forget deal or do you customize the servo pending grip levels.
I rarely change the settings between different carpet tracks. If anything, I increase the dead band to a higher value if the traction is very high, and the car is edgy and/or traction rolling. I do use a bit different setting for outdoor tracks however (more torque, mainly).
Does the compatability of SSL and programmability of these functions correlate to the generation of the reciever? (i.e. fh4, fh5) ?
Compatible with CODE 10 (M12S, EXZES ZZ, MT-44).
Not Compatible with CODE 5 (M12, EXZES Z, MT-4S, MT-4, MT-S).
SUR and SXR response modes are only compatible with FH5.
@hagberg ah shoot, I bought this and the MT-5. It sounds like Sanwa haven't even released a servo that can do this for the MT-5 yet
Which settings would you recommend for 2w and 4w buggy?
@@KaizenOz you could try my settings with a bit more dead band and more MV-MID perhaps
@@hagberg thank you, will give it a go.
My PGS-LH II has started shaking / twitching the front wheels quickly when the car is off the ground, thought deadband might help, but no bingo. Was after a big crash
Thanks for the video I just got this servo and it's sounds horrible my m17 is set up, please help or is this normal 😐
Which response mode are you using? Can you describe the noise that it's making?
Does it have to be a programmable servo or can the m17 radio hold these programs to run on the servo?
The programming will only work with a Sanwa programmable servo.
Hi Alex would this settings be suitable to be use on the Sanwa CL-2 also? I can't afford the LH-2 so was wondering if CL-2 could do the same thing?
What's your email address? I can send you a setting for the CL-2.
What values do the servo come stock??

@@hagberg thanx!
is it worth trying on a 1/8 buggy?
I personally have no experience with programming for 1/8th buggy, but I am sure that there's big benefits in tuning your servo setting also in this class!
Do you have a recommendation for drift settings?
Unfortunately, I have no experience with RC drifting!
After setting as per beginner values, the servo makes some light crackle noise even while idle, is this normal? I am on PGS-XR2 on SXR mode. Thanks
The noise is normal and won't affect performance!
would you be able to suggest settings for 8th scale, astro?
Unfortunately I have no tech info for this class! Try contacting Hupo Honigl RC (HOECO) on Facebook! He should be able to suggest you some settings.
Hi Alex, this settings also a good starting point for stock classes?
Absolutely
is it only possible to program Sanwa servos? I have a protek and would love this level of customization -- is that possible?
The only programmable servos on the market that I know of are Sanwa and Power HD.
Thank you. Do you have any additional settings on your radio you customize besides end-points? Like steering curve or expo?
@@whoisjason I do use negative expo usually in the range of -5 to -10 on the ST channel!
Will there be a new x4 23 this year? I dont know if the 22 is worth it now or if its better to wait for 23
The X4'23 will be out in around October time!
@@hagberg Thank you! I am excited to build the new xray x4 23 then, the x12 kit was fantastic!
thanks Alex great video I have always used theses servos but not at its full potential I will defiantly experiment with theses settings... do you by any chance know any good starting points for 1/8th scale nitro on road ?
Yes sir. What's you email address? I'll happily send some to you. You can also send me a PM on Facebook or a DM on Instagram.
Please send to me too
Hey, thanks for your videos
If it possible to do video on SANWA M17 setting, how you setup your radio .
Thanks

Great video - I have an M17, RX435 and PGS - LHII. I've followed instructions, but my steering is reversed. When I turn wheel on M-17 left, my car steers right. What did I do wrong, is there way to fix it in M-17?
You need to reverse CH1, which is done in SETTING and BASE.
@@hagberg Thank you - fixed!!
Is pgs servo good for 2wd off road buggies?
Most definitely! It's widely used and definitely strong enough for the class.
What about eighth scale?
@@ToddEB for 8th scale on- and off-road you'll need the full size servos which have more torque, such as PGS-XB II and XR II.
Hi Alex :)
Do you have any experiences with startup settings for PGS-HR at GT12 class?
The standard settings will be a good starting point for GT12!
@@hagberg Thank you.
Where can I purchase the vinyl wrap on your Sanwa M17 ?
It's made by 2mm Designs. But I believe that he's stopped his business with vinyl wraps. There's several companies that do them, Google and you shall find!
Thanks Alex. Thats useful. But I have a question. Can you explain how to connect the servo and change these settings with an MT-44? Because that nice settingnavigation is only avaialable with an M-17 radio.
Thanks
The MT-44 doesn't have the Multi Setting Gear function I am afraid! I recommend using the Multi Setting Gear program card in this case!
@@hagberg can't we use code 10 fonction available on the MT44 and change servo setting on the controller while the servo is plugged to the receiver ?
@@benjebiraRC I've never used the MT44, but I know that it doesn't have the possibility to plug the servo into the TX to use the Multi Setting Gear function (like in the video). Using the CODE10 through SSL should still be possible.
thx Alex for your feedback ! great to read you as always :)
@@benjebiraRC yes you can. MT44 has the programming function as well.
Could you possibly help with Settings for Rc Drifting on Servo/Gyro/Esc.. I have all three with a m17
Unfortunately I have no experience with drifting! Please look at FB drift pages for better assistance! Sorry!
Alex, this was next level good info. Can you share parameters for 1/12 indoor black carpet?
