I love how in youre vids you not only tell what might be wrong with the hair but also give suggestions. Women like you definitely help me keep inspiration towards my hair goal.
I agree that water is very important and so are nutrients. The body deems skin, hair and nails least on the list of importance when those things go lacking so enough nutrients, water and also exercise are essential. I must say you looked beautiful! Loved your makeup and curls! Thanks for the great info! This week I chelated, protein treatmented (lol) and deep conditioned in preparation for my perm next weekend. Cant wait because my last perm was 11 weeks ago but with my hair and scalp being so damaged, I could not bring myself to perm it in that condition. I began watching you a few weeks ago and am already seeing significant improvement in breakage and brittleness. Thank you!
Your videos are so informative. I've been going natural for the past 2 years and needed help on how to reduce dryness in my hair. Thank you for sharing.
Great informative video. I have high porosity hair and I have also found that one of the most important steps I do is sealing in the moisture from my leave in conditioners like Oyin Hair Dewand buttercream moisturizers like Oyin Whipped Pudding and BASK Palm Tapioca with a butter or sealing oil. Thank you again for sharing and I love your informative videos!!
You're so welcome & thanks so much for your support! Leave-In Conditioners are soooo important, especially for high porosity hair. I've never used Oyin or BASK products, but I've heard nothing but great things about them.
Really like your videos.💙 The only problem I have is the amount of water that is usually suggested in these videos it is been proven that everyone's body needs a different amount of water the average is 64floz not the minimum. If your body only needs maximum 32floz of water and you push past that it can lead to water poisoning where the cells in the body swell with extra fluid. Serious injury is rare but doing this again and again on a daily basis can lead to cells actually bursting or malfunctioning. So maybe a 4 glass minimum is a better start for most people
Thanks! Julia Macklin I've recently heard about this and was very surprised! I'm guessing water intake is one of those things that depend solely on the individual. Thanks again for that clarification!
I'm loving your look here Rosie - very pretty and you're hair looks cute and so healthy which is what I want. Thanks for all your advice! Are you a stylist?
You make very informative videos. I checked the ingredients of my products and saw aloe vera in several. This reminded me that I need to change my products in igniter. Thanks!
I like your channel it's very helpful I just started my haircare journey about a month ago and let me tell you it's more harder than I thought it would be but your channel is maker it a bit easier. I also decided that I'm not going to get anymore relaxers. Do you have any advice on transiting?
Thanks so much! A few things that I learned with transitioning is to monitor your hair to see what your relaxed hair needs and what the new growth needs as they may require different amounts of protein and moisture. Protective styling will help to retain length. Be patient and focus on your initial reason for transitioning to natural.
For some reason I can't reply directly to you. Thanks so much for the response and suggestions. A stea mer and hooded dryer is definitely on my must buy list. I will try out Camille Rose not sure about Bee U tee full because not sure my hair
+Naturally Timikia Timikia Yes, you can. I saw that video also. The citric acid in lemon juice is a great chelating agent. Just make sure that you don't use too much lemon juice on your hair. Too much acidity on the hair can eat away at the hair cuticle overtime.
Great video. I was wondering if you had any tips or suggestions of products for soneone with low porosity/protein sensitive hair. My hair does not like oils, proteins or anything that mimics protein.
I am actually going to make a video soon on both of these topics. For low porosity hair, I would suggest heat from a hooded dryer/cap or a steamer for deep conditioning. The use of indirect heat is the safest way to help product absorb into the hair shaft and won't degrade the cuticle layer. I don't recommend alkaline products or the cherry lola method/baking soda because they are not good for the hair overtime and is too abrasive. These methods make the hair feel soft, but only due to the fact that they weaken the disulfide bonds in the hair, which will damage the hair in the long run. For daily moisturizing, the moisturize and seal method is great because it gives the moisturizer time to absorb into the hair shaft instead of evaporating. Since you don't like oils, you can use a butter like Shea Butter in place of the oil. If you have problems with cream moisturizers absorbing, then try moisture milks or lotions.
A few product lines that come to mind that are protein-free are As I Am, Bee Mine Bee-U-Ti-ful, Camille Rose Naturals, and EDEN Bodyworks. Not every single product is protein-free in these lines. However, the majority of the products in these lines are protein-free and have protein and protein-free options. For instance, the As I am has the As I Am DoubleButter Cream which has protein in it, but you can use the As I Am Moisture Milk which is protein-free in place of this.
Hello, I’m trying the find the video you mentioned called “Winterize Your Hair Regimen,” but can’t seem to find it. Could you maybe post it again? Thanks!!
Hey, I may have deleted that video. Can't seem to find it. However, I do have the info from that video on my blog here: www.lovinourtextures.com/hair-care/5-hair-tips-for-the-fall-and-winter/
Hi Ms Rosie I'm on my healthy hair journey. I've taken before pictures and I will take my after photos maybe at 3mths so I can see any progress. Have you heard of the Original Moxie Hair Products. If so what do you think of them.
WHAT!!!! Kinky curly isn’t?? I mix mine in a spray bottle with water. Then apply some directly after without water but it’s still dry. No matter what I’ve used in the past my high porosity 4c hair hair is still crunchy and dry. Even with filter water !
Likes honey based products. Is it okay to use products with a ph of water 7-6.5.lower Ph products dont work on my hair too acidic when I need my cuticles open not closed.
I have extra dry curly hair. I was told coconut oil , castor oil, almond oil are good to moisturize hair and to leave in a few hours ?? After using them I see no different .
Hey 1latinfire Those oils are good for sealing, but not moisturizing. You need a water-based moisturizer to moisturize your hair. Oils help in moisture support, but water is the only true moisturizer. Oils/emollients are needed to keep the moisture from escaping hair before properly moisturizing it.
1latinfire Yes, you can apply a light layer of oil after your moisturizer to prevent moisture from escaping the hair strands. However, if your moisturizer is heavy, then sealing may not be necessary. You can also use those oils for hot oil treatments.
Usually silicones can be identified if it ends with the suffixed -one, -conol, or -xane. For example Dimethicone, Dimethiconol, and Cyclopentasiloxane are a few silicones with those suffixes.
I love how in youre vids you not only tell what might be wrong with the hair but also give suggestions. Women like you definitely help me keep inspiration towards my hair goal.

Ammina Rose is jojoba oil ok for my hair?
Tracey Hampton Jojoba oil is one of the best oils for hair. It's structure actually mimics sebum. Great for sealing in moisture.
You make very informative videos. I checked the ingredients of my products and saw aloe vera in several. This reminded me that I need to change my products in igniter. Thanks!

My hair dry now
Is safflowrer oil good for hair
Yes!
Could silicones be under another in the ingredient section?
I'm sorry. I really don't understand your question. Can your rephrase it?
***** I am guessing that she is asking whether or not silicone can be listed or named as another ingredient on the product's ingredient list?
Usually silicones can be identified if it ends with the suffixed -one, -conol, or -xane. For example Dimethicone, Dimethiconol, and Cyclopentasiloxane are a few silicones with those suffixes.
I remember you saying what alcohols shouldn't be in our ingredients, but I forgot what video that was😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 please lead me to it or some one
Thx u
