- The 400 plus Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band Halftime Drill honoring all United States Military Vetrans and also celebrating Aggies taking the oath to serve our country. The Aggie Military Marching Band is an American treasure! This was filmed on November 11, 2023.
Lifetime Longhorn here! DANG, you Aggies have a GREAT marching band!
Honestly they should be 2025 Superbowl Halftime show
Yup
The Aggie Band never disappoints ❤️. Love the tradition and love of USA 🇺🇸
This is a part of the game I really miss from the national broadcasts. The marching bands add so much to the college football experience and it’s sad it’s been removed from the national broadcasts.
Texas Longhorn alum/fan here… I have always loved the fighting Texas Aggie band. I purchased one of their records years ago when I was just a young boy.
You Sir, represent your school with honor and it is our honor, as Aggies, to have you as a fan. Welcome and thank you for your support. - Aggie, Class of ‘77, Veterinary Class of ‘80
A national treasure of the Republic of Texas, the Fighting Texas Aggie Band!
Coming from a die hard bama fan, Texas A&M has the best Marching band in the country and it's not even close. I hope I have the opportunity to visit Kyle field one day, I'll even sing the war hymn haha.
And they have a different show every week.
Bama fan here as well, and this band puts ours to shame. The Million Dollar Band plays well, but the music selection and presentation is sooooooo bad. It's really embarrassing.
Well, THE University of TEXAS has a phenomenal band as well... both pretty equal, and the best in my opinion.
I respect your opinion, but you clearly haven’t watched any HBCU
@donaldwhite2471 HBCU decinately have a "WOW" factor, but the amount of people that make up oth these bands is crazy!
THANK YOU!! Us Aggie’s that can’t see them live…. Are so grateful!
LSU fan here. Texas A&M has best marching band in the world. Outstanding work, cadets!
@stormwarning1235 - IMO the key word here is "marching". The Aggie band is truly a precision marching band. They perform intricate maneuvers while playing "Marches". Don't get me wrong, many bands out there are great. However, they play zero marches but instead tunes that belong to Broadway hit shows, Mozart, Panini, Zuchinni, or whoever classical composers. To me they are performing ensembles. They should call themselves something other than "marching" bands. Walking sideways, back pedaling, dancing etc. is not marching. Other than the Aggies, i know of no other true marching band playing marches and they change routines every week. Not so other bands. They keep same shows every week. Now, the Texas Longhorn is band is called "The Showband of the Southwest'" and not a "marching" band. I think they are a great performing band. That's my take on it.
Hands down the most precise college band in the USA..... Drop the mic.....
This was probably the most impressive halftime drill I've ever seen! Thanks and gig'em.
We've run outta time in a few football games, but we've never lost a halftime! GIG 'EM class of 1983
Yup
BQ '76 My first thought was, "Where in the hell are they goin' ?" We always uncoiled from the end-zone. Not happy about the second row at the step-off; took them 20 yards to get it straight. I've never seen this drill before; the drills are far more varied than in my day. Nice optical allusion starting at 2:30; so much movement! I had to watch it several times before I realized they were individually only marching 10 yards and doing a counter-march (and turned that into a 3-step turn by swinging their leg around; rather than planting the right foot and then moving the left foot). And the last time is a 2-step "To the Rear".
From 3:54 to 6:13 was perfection. Imagine how many hours of their free time the drum majors and Bugle Rank spend to get all this right before The Band ever shows up for practice. All in all, I'd give them a 10 O'Clock ( They don't have Call to Quarters to study on Sunday night). Sadly, those days are long gone.
Naval is Navy/Marine. We were NOT this formal in my day. They just had us show up at the Trigon; no big deal.
Did I miss something?!! After "support and defend" he left out "the Constitution of the United States" !! "against all enemies, foreign and domestic..." I remember it as "protect and defend". Did they change it, or do I remember it incorrectly?
GREAT HALF TIME DRILL!!!! BEST BAND BY FAR!!!!
By far, far and very very far.
NOBODY beats The Aggie Band! Whoop!
I love you texas
As an OU alumni I always loved going to Aggieland. Seeing the band is worth the price of the ticket. Look forward to seeing you again. Boomer Sooner and Gig ‘Em.
I visited Norman in 2019 as a neutral fan, Oklahoma vs Houston. Had an amazing time at the game
AS ALWAYS VERY WELL DONE
I’m dating myself but I remember listening to this band with my dad
When growing up. I still like to see them preform
None better! Mom look down from Heaven to see your Aggies!
Awesome
My favorite band of all time! Whoop
A&M got some bad ass marching musicians!
Longhorn fan who bleeds orange! There are times when I wish all Universities dared to have our proud men and women honored by the whole University
What a drill, what a drill. Good job, Ags
They are very good at what they do.
Lord have mercy! How many are 8n rhis band? Superb!
Really looking forward to the first game between the Aggies and Longhorns. Especially the first time the Aggie band plays the fight song at home. Didn't go to either school but love hopefully renewing the A&M and Texas rivalry.
A&M and Texas play every Thanksgiving.
@@PAMELAPORTER-ci7mr You sure about that? Can you provide final scores for the last 3 or 4 years? Neither school wants to be associated with the other.
@@PAMELAPORTER-ci7mrthey have t since TAMU went to the SEC.
Best marching band ever! Put others to shame!
TBDBITL. I'm in SEC country, and Ohio State has the best marching band in the world. Check it out.
I love you, from the bottom of my heart. (You are my heart, you are my soul). Please don't hurt me, or let others to do so again. expecially in our homeland.
The look real sharp in their full dress uniforms always a spectacular performance.
The band wears the uniform of the day for the Corps of Cadets, and this is not a dress uniform. Patterned after the 1931 Army Officers’ service uniform, colloquially called “Pinks and Greens” in the Army, or “Class A’s” at A&M. In 1931 this uniform was simply a garrison uniform, or non-field uniform
@@Neaptide184 interesting thank you.
Helluva job!
Uh qué hermoso desfile me acuerda cuando en el pueblo San Antonio me tocó una marcha y no tenía para unos tenis en el año
Excellent! I liked the step 2 drill with 6 to 5 step. Also extensive use of 8 to 5 diagonal moves.
I went to that game
Who can compete, with this crew?
THE BEST
Cómo me gustaría ir a verlos allá 😂😂😂
5:15 mark is insane❤❤❤
Dislike football team… Roll tide… But you have undoubtedly the best band in the nation. Never get tired of watching by the way I hope you beat Texas this fall.
Goodluck this year
I wish they would do more regular marching music and music from drum core it would be so cool but they just stick to military theme no matter what they do
They r a military marching band.
@@machyrudinaceus obviously. I’m saying they are a waist of incredible huge potential because they are a military band
@@cooperrichards2434 They r made up of ROTC students. They r NOT a waste. You have some phenomenal jazz bands like SMU-enjoy them, too. We Aggies love our band and the military marches. It is a part of our heritage. It will never change, and we’re rather glad of that.
@@machyrudinaceus look they could be doing more hard and impressive things that’s simple a fact and wether that’s a good thing or not is debatable but they have potential that isn’t being used wether that’s good or bad
@@cooperrichards2434 Cooper, I am enjoying your input. Remember they r all in the Corps of Cadets and have limited practice time. Glad you r interested in them.😉
Can somebody explain the difference between those with black boots, brown boots, and no boots?
The boots are the traditional English Calvary style boots worn by senior cadets in the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets, with the color differences being from the polish used. All the other cadets wear military low quarters.
What’s the opening march?
We opened with the first strain of the war hymn, followed by Bird's Battlin' Brigade, a march composed by Dr. Timothy Rhea
Thrilling, class of 76
More thrilling! Class of '63 White Band
The discipline of FTAB still stirs my Aggie blood because it is indicative of the discipline and honor being trained into this generation of Aggies. I am still thrilled by these half time drills as well. May tgese young men and women be as blessed as I have been 50 years from now, as I have been since my graduation! Gig'em Fighting Texas Aggie Class of 1973.
Well at least they have a great band. ☺
I often wonder what the football team is doing wasting time out there on the marching band field.
Hope these kids got a scholarship
Whoever administered the oath screwed up big!
If I tried to a 6 to 5, at least one of my legs would fly off.
Uh. Misspelled. It's FIRING aggie whatever.
boooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
lol
