I wanted to be in that band so bad. It never happened. I joined the Air force after high school and after 10 years in the military I became a police officer. The up side is I get to watch the Aggies march in the battle of flowers parade in San Antonio every year while working the parade as a police officer. I must say I have to hide the goose bumps and hold back the tears when they march by.. I love this band !!!

I was fortunate to have a son in the Aggie band for four years and then my next son the following four years- they never disappoint! Go back to the intro and listen where Colonel Brewer says “ now forming at the north end of Kyle Field..approximately 60,000 plus fans will shout with him, “The Nationally Famous Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band!” Also, may I point out the cross formation during Strategic Air Command - this drill has to be drawn by hand. It cannot be done on the computer program because, in fact, two cadets would be in the same place at the same time! Love the Aggie Band!!

Sometimes in Super Bowls they show us some crappy artists that more than half the audience do not care for. We should have a show like this at half time.
Couldn't agree more. The HBCUs, A&M, Ohio State.... Any of them (or all 3 in one of those extended halftimes....would be head and shoulders above the all-too-quickly forgotten whats-their-names they get to perform every year. It would be cost effective, the participants would never, ever forget math they were part of it , there is zero chance that they would embarrass the NFL....and you know what else? It would just be nice. A 30 minute period in the NFL season where it isn't actively trying to squeeze every last penny from it's viewers.

I saw them at a Kansas State game in the early 70s. The Aggies (we were all Aggies, but you know which ones I mean) were leading the Wildcats in football at the half, but shouldn’t have. But still, after the halftime show, they got a standing ovation from the KState fans. They were absolutely amazing.
Yes, I was born and raised a Razorback fan and heard the Aggie Band over the radio coverage of Southwest Conference games long before I saw them in person later as an adult but could tell from the precision and crispness in their sound that they were something special. Now, that I live in San Antonio, I have had the pleasure and honor of seeing them perform on a regular basis. Up until the time TAMU joined the SEC the Aggie Band did not receive as much national recognition as they deserved and were a bit of a Texas secret, but not any more. The whole nation is beginning to catch on to just how special these young men and women are. Kudos to TAMU!

And the TV stations think we would rather hear halftime “stats”? It’s time we showcase the “REAL” talent on the field! We need to contact the networks and tell them to put the halftime band show back on. Who give a crap about who ran more plays or how fast they did it?
There are not enough of the letter "O" in the word "smooth" to convey the way i feel about what this marching band performed in this video. Holy truckload of OOOOOOOOOs. Edit: watch this video on 1/2 or 1/4 speed to see the intricacies of this art. Then watch it on double speed to see just how seemless and truly smooth this performance is. One mistake would be like a domino effect, and can easily happen but it does not (maybe some mistakes did happen, but they are almost imperceptible here). Just amazing that someone wrote this choreography and that these team members performed it so flawlessly. Just beautiful. I did detect a mistake, but the ability to quickly rectify the mistake seems to be something this team was also taught, because the "mistake" really went by quickly and almost undetectably with no ill effect. That is also talent i credit to the teachers and coaches. Of course there will be mistakes or mishaps - and the ability to handle them gracefully is what makes this team, teachers and coaches top notch all the way. These skills will serve them well in life - these skills of foreseeing and averting disaster, skills of planning, skills of teamwork, skills that every school should be teaching in every subject - not just in marching band. What is being taught is equally important as to the WAY it is being taught. And here, the lessons and the method of teaching seems very effective!
If you're impressed by this you really should watch The Ohio State University marching band.(The Best Damn Band In The Land.) This is nothing compared to what OSU does, the choreography in their halftime shows is Amazing!
I've been thinking of my dad a lot these days. He was a proud Aggie, and he loved watching the half-time shows! I can't imagine what it must have taken to pull off a flawless performance like this.
@@jamesbeaman6337 Yeah, the 4-way cross was jaw-dropping! I hate to think how it must have looked when they were first learning it! Imagine the carnage -- and the bent trombone slides and dented sousaphones! (Well, actually, the trombonists lowered their instruments when entering the blender, but everyone else kept playing.) Truly amazing. Where was the flying-T, though? That was the part my dad and I liked best.
Since they had the annual Block T with the entire Corps, the band didn’t do the usual “Flying T”. You can see them do that on almost all my other halftime videos though.
One of the most impressive things I've ever seen. It's almost like organized chaos. And so easy to forget that while they all marching these amazing formations they're also keeping time while playing their instruments.
I'm a Ohio State fan first......but Texas A&M second. Great footrball team in tough conference. BUT......the Aggie Marching Band is #1 in the Universe!!!!! Thanks for putting this video up.
I admire the Aggie band very much as a former drum major and involved in music my entire adolescence. I grew up in College Station; numerous cadet friends growing up. The band is brilliant around line dressing; precise all around. Then, we have the running on and off field, pre and post event. A synchronized entry and and exit was the most simple event of the day in my experience.
Just stumbled on this, waiting out hurricane Helene. I'm so happy that the fabulous Aggie band is still playing Clifton Williams ' music! I'm his daughter. Really nice job y'all!❤
Awesome! Few college bands could ever attempt this precision. Too many of today's college bands are mostly boring arcs and little movement. One day soon, colleges may fill the field with marching drones. Great job Aggies!
I loved it when I heard an Ohio State grad - who was in their band - say after A&M’s halftime, “That was absolutely insane! Mind. Blown. Nothing I’ve ever performed or seen before compares!!” Correct sir; you’re honest, and correct.
I spent a large part of my Sunday Evening watching various College marching Bands. This is maybe the 10th and my favourite (incl the uniform, Other Colleges were a little kitschig) I am so impressed by the skill/timing/drill of everything here. I take my hat off to all. Whilst serving with the British Army, I had the fortune of working with various military bands so I know how much dedication goes into it all. My wife spent 3 months at college ( don't know which one, somewhere in Northeast) and her best friend there played clarinet in their band. The band was her Friends life, she loved it including the training when normal students are still sleeping!!!! My wife watched the training as well as some shows / games. Tell me, do the band's also attend road trips? I wish they would show the band at half time on TV instead of game highlights, stats and adverts!! Watching this live must be awe inspiring! Especially from up high. Loved it. Greetings from Germany
I just want to say I do support Texas Longhorns and Texas A&M. I’m really happy that Texas A&M is coming back to the big 12 as well as Arkansas. God bless Texas, Longhorns and Oklahoma but I’m glad that a few or other teams are coming back to the big 12.

And I thought some of the stuff we do in my high school band is advanced. This is amazing!! It seems like it would be awesome to be in that band:)
My second favorite College Marching Band. Theirs precision and martial marching style is mesmerizing. I love that 4 way cross
I saw them perform when I was at the U of Arkansas in the late 80's, simply fantastic. Blew away our respectable Razorback band.
That was the most 4 exceptional 4 way cross that I've seen from Texas A&M forever.
I’m so glad you posted this! I’ve been feening for some FTAB awesomeness. I was a CT (class of ‘05) and always razzed the BQs, but it was just a “sibling” rivalry.
Every Aggie has the utmost respect for the Nationally Famous Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band!
Thanks and Gig ‘Em!
A-WHOOP!!!!!
I was there! It was the first performance I'd seen live and it was amazing!!!! 👍🏻👍🏻
Beats any SWAC band any day.
Much respect to the Texas A&M Fighting Aggie Band. Wish y'all well with your New coach, Jumbo Fisher, a great hire by your savy AD. Hope we can again meet up one day on the gridiron. Until then...Your fellow Texas brothers and sisters down here in Austin.....Hook 'em!
Hook 'em Horns love the respect for tamu gig em
Im interested to see what Herman can do for yall and Jimbo can do for us. Gig’em
we need to lock down texas in recruiting keep all our better recruits dont go to bama, notre dame, lsu, oklahoma, osu etc.
Hook 'em Horns. Even though you at TU have consistently beat our butts, the Aggie War Hymn doesn’t reference beating Alabama, Georgia, or LSU! The A&M vs. Texas game on Thanksgiving is a tradition that needs to be begun again! Beat the Hell outa TU! Gig Em Aggies! Class of 70/Squadron Six.
We have tried to get them on the schedule for two years now and they have said no. To Hell with them
Fantastic.. Can't even understand how is that possible
Sp1ke 1 Computer simulations have concluded that the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band’s drills are impossible. Yet they go out each week and prove the computers wrong.
Watch from 5:40 when he zooms in on the meat grinder. Computers can’t account for the syncopated contortions the Band members use to pass by one another in such tight confines!
GIG ‘EM AGGIES!!!!!
A-WHOOP!!!!!
Practice and discipline.

And the TV stations think we would rather hear halftime “stats”? It’s time we showcase the “REAL” talent on the field! We need to contact the networks and tell them to put the halftime band show back on. Who give a crap about who ran more plays or how fast they did it?
lawyers9 I couldn’t agree with you more! God bless the Fighting Texas Aggie Band and Texas A&M University!
Maybe it'd stand a chance if all colleges and universities supported their band program as A&M does
the aggie band is a national treasure
The formations and cadences are incredible! Such precision. The Aggie Hymn is so majestic. A&M is fortunate to have a band this superb.
"REAL" talent on the field! Too bad no one pays 70$ a head to watch people in band, which is funded by the football program.
Coming from a Portuguese guy from Europe, this is bloody amazing!
If you're impressed by this you really should watch The Ohio State University marching band.(The Best Damn Band In The Land.) This is nothing compared to what OSU does, the choreography in their halftime shows is Amazing!
Christopher Lewis HAHAHAHA. Yea no. OSU band is cute though they do have that going for them at least.
Go check Jackson State Marching band
My daughter getting ready to apply for this wonderful University. Great video and thanks for sharing. #goaggies!!!!
Elisa Monast good luck and Gig ‘em to her!
James Beaman, thank you so much 😊
Thank you for this great video. Excellent sound and video. It’s better than the official video from Texas A&M.
I'm a Nebraska fan and the Aggie Band is the best I've ever seen!
Mark Olson Osu
Of course they are, they're from Texas!
Well then, clearly you've never seen OSU. They're not called T.B.D.B.I.T.L. for nothing.
@@christopherlewis1315 I don't need to see them to know they're not as good as the Fighting Texas Aggie Band.
@@albertwells8393 I guess ignorance is bliss! LOL.
I've been thinking of my dad a lot these days. He was a proud Aggie, and he loved watching the half-time shows! I can't imagine what it must have taken to pull off a flawless performance like this.
Sarah Fox I bet he would have loved this one!
My mom was an Aggie, she loved the halftime shows, she’d love this
As in the great racehorse in 1979, a Spectacular Bid. Greatness, blessed by talent speaks for itself.
One of the most impressive things I've ever seen. It's almost like organized chaos. And so easy to forget that while they all marching these amazing formations they're also keeping time while playing their instruments.
WOW my grand daughter graduated from Texas A&M This is thrilling, worth going to the entire game for!
I'm a Ohio State fan first......but Texas A&M second. Great footrball team in tough conference. BUT......the Aggie Marching Band is #1 in the Universe!!!!! Thanks for putting this video up.
I watched it so many times but I can't have enough, so I have to watch again and again💯👍
Really nice job y'all!❤
Strategic Air Command!
@maryzorn3365 ❤️
Still makes my eyes water up after all these years…
Awesome! Few college bands could ever attempt this precision. Too many of today's college bands are mostly boring arcs and little movement. One day soon, colleges may fill the field with marching drones. Great job Aggies!
Absolutely wonderful. Hard work and practice paid off for sure. Loved it.
Will always have love for corp of cadets especially for Texas Aggie band
Any well-composed music performed well is a HUGE treat! Tyvm TA&M !!
Love to see this well trained marching band show, form Thailand
Incroyable! What a feat of choreography and diligent soldiers, that most likely eclipsed the game itself, FCOL.
My online friend called James told me to saw his college, Texas A&M, and it was amazing 👍
This band is great! I thought FSU's Marching Chiefs were good, but this band blows them away!
Nobody can touch TAMUs band.
I loved it when I heard an Ohio State grad - who was in their band - say after A&M’s halftime, “That was absolutely insane! Mind. Blown. Nothing I’ve ever performed or seen before compares!!”
Correct sir; you’re honest, and correct.
OMG. Truly magnificent. From South Africa. !!! Wish I was born in the 🇺🇸.
Now, I know why Texas is the best state 🖤
I spent a large part of my Sunday Evening watching various College marching Bands.
Travels with the team at every conference game. May not win every american football game but wins halftime all the time.
That bugle call in the beginning always gives me goosebumps
me too
Not only the BEST college band, also by far the largest, best marching
Clearly you've never seen OSU's marching band. T.B.D.B.I.T.L.
Here is a high school band for you. Recorded on the crappy camera microphone.

Fantastic! It sure feels good to be an Aggie!
Freaking amazing. I want to go back to college and go here.
It's like watching a large living organism.
Makes me proud to be an Aggie.
Gig'm Aggies!
Still marching 6 to 5?
Man that's hard !
Excellent show !!
Not an Aggie fan but that half time show gave me chills. I’m an Aggie fan now.
I’ve never seen anything like this in my life!!! I got so emotional!!! Sheer discipline which you don’t see too much of these days!
The Most Gorgeous thing I've ever SEEN! I watch it all of the time!
Very impressive. Must’ve been amazing to see in person.
Wow! Very impressive from Minnesota.....that is absolutely insane
Watching this band gives me the chills.
Just utterly jawdropping. Much
I just want to say I do support Texas Longhorns and Texas A&M. I’m really happy that Texas A&M is coming back to the big 12 as well as Arkansas. God bless Texas, Longhorns and Oklahoma but I’m glad that a few or other teams are coming back to the big 12.
So sad to see military marching die off slowly, it is truly an art
Military marching is a waste of time and resources.
moncorp1 Inc just curious, how is it a waste of time and resources?
Truly astonishing! Nothing comes close to this.
Great video! Their marching and formations have always amazed me! And love the majority of the music they play too. Just one of the best bands their is!
The timing of the cross walks is brilliant
So proud of the Aggies in my family. A&M is a terrific school.
Outstanding performance young band members, bravo ! 👏 💖
Applied to transfer to tamu and planning on getting into the corps of cadets. The band is just phenomenal!

The Texas A&M band is awesome in their precision and musicality. The uniforms are pretty cool, too!
I did spend the night with the corps a few days ago as of writing this, seeing them up close and all the intricate details that they put into their marching is amazing
I love when they do the Cross of St Andrew, which is Scotland's National flag.
Great job recording this magnificent work!
Ohio state marching band? Never heard of 'em this is the best damn band in the land! All support from a Minnesota fan
Amazing job !!! respect from France !
The crossover at the 6 minute mark is amazing.

I never been more proud of my own AlmaMater. TexasA&MU is a WINNER
This band is phenomenal!!!!!
The PRECISION of this routine, WOW!
Well done, Aggies. A University of Texas ex was impressed.
