Great video! Amazing instructor. No annoying music, clear and to the point! Thank you for the extra tips with where we might face some difficulty (such as lock tabs on connection ports). Thank you for a 5 Star video!

Thumbs up for a great tutorial! You're very good at explaining technical matters! A future teacher at a technical institute in the making!?

Thanks for the video, Josh. Just took care of my o-ring replacement. The thing was brittle as a rock.

Thanks for the info on O ring . I've been trying to find that oil leak and who would have known it was right there in front of me. I'm back on the road again. Thanks again.

Scott Pearson TOOLS &MORE It sure was. I absolutely enjoy working on Honda. You can now see how the curve has rolled back to being more difficult in modern vehicles. The "hands off DIYer" is obviously a consequence of the convergence of many variables (most of which the average diy consumer is not considered in) and I completely get it. Nonetheless I'm happy that technology continues to march forward... hopefully not to accelerate our demise. Cheers Scott.

Nice video - unfortunately what you replaced is not the oil seal but the O-ring! Replacing the oil seal is a much more complex job that requires complete disassembly of the distributor because the oil seal is deep inside the distributor casing. Other videos on RUclips will show you how seal replacement is done. Please change the title of your video to O-Ring replacement instead of oil seal replacement.

Should you also replace the shaft seal while doing this?

This is such an easy fix but isn't always the answer. Mine pours oil from the dizzy hole still even with a brand new distributor. Only just randomly started as well. Super annoying, and yes it is 100% the dizzy doing it.
