I have been researching locs for about 2-3 years because I am working my way up to getting them. I have seen so many different people discussing what’s good, the approach for your hair type and texture. Looking at all of videos and types and techniques it was so overwhelming. But when I came across your videos I was sold. I felt ready to move to the next step, so I went in for a consultation last Saturday. She was not you LOL but she was informative. Thank you for your videos and helping me move to the next phase.

Pale scalp? Then give your scalp more sun exposure? Idk, sounds like you're overthinking it (which isn't due to some stars in the sky). You might just need to determine whether you really want locs or should instead go with temporary styling such as twists or faux locs. Trying a temp style out first can help you determine.

I haven't really seen a style that wasn't doable with diamond parts. Sooooo diamond parts, 90-120 locs, comb curls, smedium parts maybe? That's my goal 😁.

I LOVE ❤️ the practical knowledge you give with our explanations! After having had 5 sets of locs in the past (I'm loose narural now, but not by choice 😪), & all the frustration that came with each set & dealing mostly with stylists who didn't know their 💩, I can NOW pretty much tell right off when a stylist DOES know their craft. I justvwish I had known about the different parting systems when I did have locs. The only 1 I knew if was the brick format. Well, that & the freeform method. And although the idea of not having to be anal about maintaining my parts appealed to me, the idea that some of my locs could be the size of a tree trunk, & others could be thinner than a spaghetti 🍝 noodle at random places on my head was a greater turn-off than the sporadic maintenance aspect of that style was appealing.
I wish you were in ATL as that's where I'm moving in less than a month. It seems that the locticisns I vibe with are always someplace far away from where I'm currently at. Do you have any loctician friends in ATL that have the same philosophies pertaining to their styling methods & similar level of knowledge as you that you could refer me to?

When I get my hair done for two strand twist, I feel like it shows my head to much and not full. I have a lot of hair but when it’s done the twists look mad small. I usually ask for thicker two strands but they come out real thick.

It’s been a year. Have you changed your mind about doing the diamond parts? Lol I am really low density in the front and would like volume and want to book with you!

If you have thick, dense hair it'll likely look full no matter what you do. I have very thick and high density hair, I wanted to control volume a bit so I didn't go too much over 400 microlocs, and I did a grid.
