About to start locs on my 10yo (I'm a white mom with Jamaican kids 🤣). I taught myself how to twist roots and used to do some Gambian's hair, i learned how to interlock, I came up with my own way of attaching locs, no thread left behind and it's unbreakable, I box braid (with extensions) my 12yo. 😑 they do that on purpose so they can charge you exorbitant prices for something you could literally do yourself. it's a 'snake oil salesman ' tactic. make the customer believe you're selling something 'unbelievable', so they pay top dollar for bull****. people fall for it all the time.

I got shoulder length hair (mixed texture) and I have the sides of my head shaved completely off, so I just have a man bun, only hair on top and although it is long I got quoted almost $500 to do my instant locs, thanks to this video me and my wife are doing it ourselves❤
Oh wow, I didn't know you could get so much length when doing starter locs. One of the reasons I was hesitant to start locs, was cause i was scared of that awkward stage if your hair is short.

Yes!!! Definitely recommend doing this or insta-locs and you knock out 3-6months of rough journey lol...Im happy I'm finally there but I would easily have paid few hundo for insta locs or interlocing as the journey csn be a looong and frustrating one but you got this!!!

This is awesome you can have locs without using wax. I tried with wax but before the hair locks you have to keep dirty wax. I love this❤❤
Wax can be quite a hassle, so this is the best alternative! 👍
