I used to think Everlong was all about that riff and the vocals, but watching this, I'm thinking it's actually the drums that make it special.

I used to beg my band to play this song and the drummer always said no way, he hates this song. I thought that was being narrow until I decided to learn drums. This song absolutely sucks to play ... for a guitar player it's like playing RHCP's Snow Hey. It's physically a bitch.

I guess it depends on the drummer. When I jam with my band our drummer suggests this song every time. I’ve ended up playing it about 3 times in a single jam session because this guys love it.

By far, I personally feel that this is the most amazing cover! Love how you are patiently calm, focusing on the right beat with clear hitting on filler parts! A lot of drummers keep getting over-acted and screw up on chorus filler parts, yet you nailed so well!

I love the Foo Fighters (favorite band) and have played air drums to this song for years. During the course of this I have checked out many drum covers of the song on RUclips and you play it exactly as I have it imagined it being played. As Mr. Burns would say exxxxxxxxxcellant.

Dave recorded all the drums on their first 2 albums (except for the song doll). Taylor Hawkins wasn’t in the band until the 3rd album. Most of their hits drum parts were recorded by Dave like everlong, my hero, monkey wrench, big me, and I’ll stick around
