Dane here. When i grew up, Safri Duo was inescapable on any danish radio station. This was a really nice cover. Don't think i have heard this song for at least 15-20 years. What a throwback.

As a long time bongo player first time I saw drum sticks used on bongos was when Safari used them but this guy is way ahead of them -incredible and hard to believe what you are watching 👍😊

As a guitarist, I've always been impressed by drummers. Being on rythm is one thing. But adding to that the groove, the feel and the soul is magical. El Estepario is one very good exemple of that. His face tells you how much practice he puts into drumming. Look how his look changes in between parts. That's more practice than we can even think of and most of us can't and will never be able to even afford.
He feels the thing like nobody's business. The music is flowing thru his SOUL!!!! Transfered to MINE!!!

Limb independence is one of the hardest things to develop as a drummer. I've been playing for years and I still haven't got it down. The speed, precision and effortless motion are impressive enough about this man but his limb independence is honestly what impresses me most of all. It is insane.

1. I’m not a drummer and haven’t listened to much music for years (I’m into books right now). I’ve never enjoyed watching drummers do their thing outside of a song. Despite that, you have grabbed my attention and I’ve dipped into music styles I don’t even enjoy and discovered artists that are great! Your mesmerizing drumming and the pure entertainment raised them to something worth watching again and again! Wow! I’ve listened to more music in the past couple months than in the last decade! Thank you!
2. You are funny, authentic, intelligent, incredibly disciplined and skilled. (You are also some real eye candy, but that wouldn’t matter if it wasn’t for your inner qualities!) What impresses me is that you want to pass on your life lessons, knowledge and skills to others and inspire them on their own journey. That’s big! Huge!!! We need more people in the world like that!
3. As a side note, in your Million Views video you mentioned that something in your character drives you to do correctly whatever you’re doing. That can be a blessing or a curse, but when I listened to your Mike Portnoy video and your story about your girl related reasons for learning his song, I just started laughing. Your drive to do things ‘correctly’ could be a blessing for your partners!
