Total pen and paper girl. I used to budget this way, drawing grid lines in a notebook, anything to just stay on track with a young family going in all kinds of crazy directions. I've tried digital budgeting and it is not the same so back to pen and paper for me. I am using a TBM printable because it is set up the same way I do mine. Thank you!! You always make me feel like we’re just cut right from the same cloth… my budget sister!! I don’t generally like digital anything..lol I’ve never even tried budgeting digitally… the only device I own is my cell phone, no tablet or laptop, so I am assuming it would be too tiny to see🔍
Just found you. Love this. My budget system tools are pens, papers, and dollar store envelopes. I can’t get caught up in all the pretty binders and such.
Oh my goodness you sound just like me. I did break down and buy myself the envelope binders on Amazon for the cheapest I could get them, other than that I really just can’t do all the fancy stuff on my budget even if I wanted to, I can’t afford it!!
I make my own pages for my budget, too. I don't have extra money to spend, so I make my own everything, as much as possible. Checks used to come in checkbook boxes. Those boxes made good dividers, so I used them instead of a bill holder. Now I just use stacks. I've used the same ruler for years, pick and choose different kinds of paper . Some years I've made copies and when I use a very simple system, that doesn't take too many pages, I make the pages as I need them. I've got various colors of pens and markets. White out dries out, as you know. I get it at Dollar Tree. I really liked seeing that you make your own sheets, too. The pre-fab ones I find always have too much space allowed for one thing and not enough space for something else. I like sheets that are customized to my needs. So good to know there's someone who also likes and does her own customization. Thanks for sharing.

I love the checkbook box idea. I’ll have to look around and see if I have any old checkbook boxes I know my last checks came in kind of a file folder inside of a poly mailer with no box :( thank you for all the kind words and support. Love the simplicity. I use budget trackers I print free at my job and a binder. No need to spend lots of $$$
