Apparently it’s because Apple was told they legally have to require audio access in order for CarPlay to work in any vehicle, as by law they have to give you the option to navigate the system hands-free
You forgot to mention that you need to have a Bluetooth headset connected first, before car play will work
This video is not accurate it says I need to connect a headset can you bypass that ?

I'm having the same experience. Even with a headset connected, I don't get a carplay option. This system is NOT easy to navigate and connect. Especially, for no published instructions...

Which why have a wire adapter if you need a headset ?
I have a headset connected and Apple CarPlay still will not connect it just times out after a couple minutes. My local dealership also had not done the updates that were released in march for the infotainment center when I purchased the motorcycle the end of may. So I had to do them myself. Even after the update still no Apple CarPlay connection. Rather annoying considering what we pay for these motorcycles. Time to step up your game Harley.

This is not working on my 2024 Street Glide, wired or wireless.
I recently purchased a Road Glide 2024, but the store did not explain to me that I needed to connect a Bluetooth headset. I was deceived by the store.
I should return my 2024 roadglide because of this bs
