I like this channel because you show the work in process, and just not cut the camera and come back after it is done. I like the fenders.
Yea, I agree, to many videos out there where they say what they’re going to do than the next frame and it’s done. I’d rather watch how it’s done rather than comparing before and after pictures of what they’re working on. There are so many tips you can learn from watching that a lot of people take for granted and don’t think about telling us about the little tricks they’ve learned. You’ve reminded me to go hit the thumbs up because Brent shows how to do it, good, bad, or ugly, he shows it all so you know what’s involved.
Definitely
Hi Brent, love every vedio you put out, also used to custom body work,I'm to old now! Any don't ever change your style and your way you always look like your having fun.Im one who totally injoy your work, your videos make my day.thank you jesse.
Another day in life of a bodyman, lol lol, dust an feel..lookin good Brett
Another day, another step closer....fenders and bumper looking mint!!😎👍
Setting goals is good
Getting closer!
Fenders and. Bumper. Look great. In primer. Thanks
Admire your work ethic, one step closer for sure 👍🏻
It looks pretty slick on video, the lights look like you got those fenders really nice when they were wet and anyone who does this kind of work knows how long things take in real life, nice work Brent
Mr. Brent, I like your builds, techniques, and mostly those shop born languages, like Shmir it, Shmock it etc.😀😃😄
Canadian lingo😂😂😂 you must listen to Fitzee from Fitzee Fitzee fabrications he also has his own lingo😅😅😅
When Michael Angelo carved a statue there also was a lot of debris on the ground. Without the material on the car to sand of you can't shape anything. It's not wasting. It's the only way to get er done. Looking good.
Nice work Brent 👍
You have definitely bounced back from the fire quickly. These fenders are amazing.
I thought that one was going to be a bit boring, but it turned out as good as the rest well done editor 😊
Watching the condo go on Is fascinating to me. Fenders look great. 👍👍
Brent I've found when you weld up seams with spot tacking and grinding them smooth. The grinding wheel rolles over the metal and moisture can seep through the back side and pop out your Bondo. So take dish soap with water and spray the seams and blow compressed air on the back side to find the tiny holes in your welds it works
It's always nice to see the pieces/parts you've been working/patching/fabricating all in one color. It kind of get you to the next level of the build progress. That's my thought process anyway. Thanks again Brent for another great video update.
nice job Brent, i'm sure no one likes doing this messy work, but it has to be done, even the halfass way... another step forward 👍🍺🍺🍺🍺
PABLO said that fender gave the boss the business but i knew he would fix it / i wish he could have a vacuum system that could suck up all that sanding cant wait to say LETS RIDE
Lol no pain no gain ! You're a good man . Thanks for sharing 👍😁
Hello Brent, I like your videos in the evening. Genau die richtige Unterhaltung zur Entspannung. Be well and best reagards to You. Ray from Germany.
Hey Brent, Great job! Bodywork is a painful but necessary evil that you are actually quite good at despite your disclaimers to the contrary! Re: Bondo consumption; you have a kindred spirit in Nova Scotia ole Bad Chad lays that stuff down like there's no tomorrow! Cheers!
Love Bad Chad also, he does things differently from others. 👍🏼
You give me inspiration to not be afraid tackling a project.
Haven’t seen Esther lately, say hi to her.
Like, share and give more doggie treats.
That truck coming along nicely, cant wait to see more of the awesmoeniss rides that comes out your head, and new shop, I can see the pistons pumping & wheels turning in you head. God bless, HAG crazy grease
It's so bright in there now omg! I love it, the shop rocks, it's all coming together. I am happy for you guys.
Aloha! Safe travels to Texas!! She's looking good Brent
Hello Brett The finished product goal line keeps you going if you do not like the fiberglass & bonds work. It is lookingin good. Pablo says, that is enough dust for today dad lets go for some food.
Looking great Brent. Enjoyed the video. God bless
You are amazing. What you do solo is unbelievable
Great background music!!🇦🇺😊
Your getting there , love the process ..
im '75 and i'v noticed how much you use the 'big wheel for cutting your 'mud .. this is a common practice for more experienced body-men , cuts the mud quick and keeps it flatter .. i'v used this method for many many yrs .. most new guys can't seem to get good results .. outstanding work going on , and i really enjoy your vids , thanks , steve .. eh
Minty !
Thank You for sharing your video, and letting us hang out .
Later ...
Some great progress! One step or bite closer!! Take care.
Schmeer is now a word I use on a regular basis….ll especially when I put butter or jam on my toast, or when I complain about how bad the traffic was… I had to “Schmeer” through the mess…😁. The fenders and bumper look fantastic.
Great vlog Brent and super progress. Looking good but hard work to get it there. Stay on it and stay well.
Looks awesome Brent getting closer .
Cool it's getting there bumper and fenders look great well done sir Brent
I love your channel……. You do great work….mike from Florida…..♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️👏👏👏👏👏👏
Progress is Progress and it's looking good
ha ha your shop looks like it's been there for years not new . That's what you built it for good job
I need to wear a respirator while watching you sand those fenders! It makes me sneeze! Pablo is so excited to go home at the end.
Thank you so much for another fantastic video , you have the rear fenders done and dusted and also the rear bumper mudded and blown in . ou set a doable goal and completed the task in good order . Till your next video , take care , God Bless , say Hi to Esther and the two four footed garage sentinels from me , Stuart in Ontario ..
That's going to be a sharp pickup
Great video. The end product looks great despite all the yucky work it takes to get there. Am not a bodywork fan either. Look forward to more. Be safe and stay well.
Always good to prime. Tonight at my side job the Camaro I put ground effects on and molded them to the body where's there is no seams. Tonight I taped it off for primer. I can't wait to see it gray
I started to comment on the last video about making you a temporary booth at the end of the shop with dropping plastic from the ceiling so you might could contain the dust to just one area and then pull the sheets of plastic back up when not in use . I’m enjoying the progress on the truck . I am always looking forward to the next video.
The fenders look great Brent, easily going to be a 10 footer or even less. 🙂
Hey Bent! Looking better and better. Look forward to seeing it done. Great job!!😀😀
Looking like a real mud slinger Brent 😂😂 nice job 👍
Excellent video Brent :) also look very good and almost ready for paint in next 2 video possibly too !
LIKE 1K ! That is certainly a handy lift/workbench.
It’s looking good,Brent.
Always makes me want to a better job when I do my own body work. Enjoy watching and I learn with each and every one of your videos Brent. You have the eye of an artist and ability to explain how you do it. and I learn
Safe travels to Austin. Hope to catch ya Friday at the round up!
One of those robotic dust picker uppers would work good on that flat floor, just let it do the work !
High speed is the only way to watch bodywork !
Yes Sir!!!
Hey Brent, i just picked up a 66 chevy nova, needs work, sanded the surface rust off the body and primed it yesterday 😀 your video gave me a few ways to make it easier...enjoyed the video....Ralph
hand sanding is the rough part looking good 👍
Hey Brent, try smooshing the sandpaper disc on your shirt first, picks up lint and dust then put on your sander. Way easier to come off after!
I love watching this chanel your very clever alot of knowledge. love when u work with your son reminds me when I worked on cars with my dad
In Australia some builders use inflatable spray booths with extractors to keep dust out of sheds . . . bondo dust just builds up and never completely goes away
Finders look a whole lot better!!!
It's amazing how you can take crappie metal look great love your work keep it up
Great progress, I remember sometime back, when you told us about wanting to build a Roadster Pickup. And a Roadster Pickup we now have. It's easy to get stalled out but this one is kool, and worthy and is almost road ready. Look forward to the next one(video) Be well. Hi Ester.
Man that thing is turning out nicely. Great video
Working that huge fender on a english wheel looks like a real pain in the ass. Karls planishing hammer looked much easier. I totally agree with you method of sanding put mud on the whole fender and stop as soon as you hit the high spots and then next coat get the low spots sand and then ready for filler primer the whole fender than sand again and your ready for paint.
Since, Ya gotta do the cab might as well take the box completely off and tackle both at the same time. Fear not, doesn't matter to me, what yo do, as long as their progress, truck is looking good Brent its coming along just fine. cheers.
Nice!
You make spreading that filler look so easy. The fenders and bumper look great!!
Looking Good Brent 👍
Looking great Brent!
You know getting used to seeing those wheels on the P cup the fenders look great the GMC is looking good...
Nice job on the rear fenders
Ideal,Ideal,Ideal,Ideal....
Looking good Brent Enjoy Texas
Looks awesome. Tonneau cover I would wood slate it with steel pins in a U - channel using a heavy cloth backing.
like always good show, Keep on Truckin😎👍
Man that laser really cut down on the dust in the shop.
More fast and furious auto body by Brent . Excellent
Looks good Brent!😊
Another good video Brent. Will be there soon.
I see very little difference in bondo and primer... one you spray and the other is just laid on and then shaped to the desired shape needed. It is what we called it in the sixties and seventies. I watched Kyle from carter auto restorations do some tig welding using bits of stainless in the filler rod so no ghosting appears. He calls it ghosting, others just say its turning blue or a shade of it when welding. Using the same material in filler took away that issue... great times ahead... nice place to work and the door is open a bit to get fresh air in
Pablo he's ready to go in
Happy Tuesday Canada 🇨🇦 😊
Greetings Mr Brent, I know it's a lot of work, but you are going to have the coolest Roadster Pick-up ever. Nice job sir 👌. Stay safe my friend. 👍👍👍
I think I would sand outside or at the door with a fan blowing outside. It looks great. Consider where it came from too.
The truck is really coming around looking good
For the bolts sticking out from the inside of the bed, I would put nuts on them and weld them to the side of the bed to give the bolts a stronger grip. If possible I would also do the same for the bolts that hold the fenders.
You should turn your old small shop into your new paint booth but the truck is looking good
I spray my e wheels with dw-40 to keep rust at bay. I remember Karl saying to use one die size flatter than actual crown.
Another fender in the book.
Roof will be interesting. The mesh screen 1/4 hole size to make the form and go at it with fiberglass.
I truly enjoy every video that you make your inspiration to make things look awesome is for the rest of us to enjoy. Give Pablo and Buddie a pat on the head for me
Watched you on the big screen and Like/comment from my iPhone 😂. Its looking good and I am anticipating the roof work which I have not been sure how you will approach it. Now I heard you say about the same lol. That means it’s going to be interesting.
Nice job on the fenders
Brent might want to bolt down the paint table before it escapes!
Brent an awesome video. Got a whole lot accomplished in this one. Thank you for sharing!
❤️💯👊👍
Awesome job Brent. Fenders and bumper look great. Keep up the great work
Brent thank ya for all that ya show an may be blessed as ya do your thing
Awesome as Always.. Really cool content How about Teaching Esther to spray the Primer ??
I can picture this awesome color on your truck
1. same neon Green on truck
2, Black color on all fenders, those side steps, and the bumper (maybe the grill too)
3. on the back of the bed where the "pipe" frames are = color white trim
4. THEN your logo "HalfAss Custom" on the side doors
I hope you like the idea I mentioned HK 🙂💗
Brent!!! The rear fenders / bumper looks great!!!!
