Nice to see you finally use a tape measure, but you'll have to do some sanding on the bottom of the frame to get it from dragging on the hood. But nice work. Scott in Southern Oregon
That was really good. I enjoyed that video. I have a tractor with a cab on it and my back window had the same kind of openings openers that you used. I made my with flat stock drilled two holes at each end. Cut one end out. Use the bandsaw and welded the piece back in and it worked great. That's just one way you can do it. And also I picked up some of that paint yesterday. I'm going to give it a try. 👍👍🙂🇨🇦🐕🐕🐕
Love the handmade windshield frame, looks mighty fine. Will you be taking the frame to the glass shop or will you just make a cardboard template to bring to them?
As a glass installer . done a 100 of these over the years. Didnt fit good from factory, nmore than 50 % of people bitch it dont look right .channel is a u, glass is straight, leaves gap. Fill it in with urethane, silicone how dare you .. He might of made a square channel.. Good work would look good.
Awesome video. Thank you for recording parts in real time, it was a great learning experience. Plus as the video progressed I had a lot of aha moments, I was ohhh, that's what he's going for, gotcha, lol. But awesome work as always, thank you. I really do enjoy watching you work. You really do great work.
Great job.... If I might suggest on your next job similar to this you use a scribing compass that you set your distance and and move along the radius. ALSO....for those that thought your arc radius was not symmetrical, the camera has a fisheye distortion to the shot.
Nice addition to the car. Much better thana fixed windshield. Every car deserves a few pieces of jewelry - it makes them feel 'special'. As always, thanks for the great work and interesting content.
Brent, l wish you lived closer! I have the hinge you need, it's a piano hinge. Approximately 5 1/2 feel long, you might try that ,I'd give you the one l have, jim love your channel!
Amazing Looks factory well better than factory lol . Why when your standing in front of the car do the seats look uneven ? Optical Illusion maybe ? Also when you get the glass cut is it a safety type glass ? Thanks Brent
Who would've thought a 1/4 would have made all the difference....yes once you added that visor it really would look like a stormtrooper ...lol looking very nice
Very nice.. too bad that Pablo can't give high fives when you fix or finish something like this! I really did wonder how they did these window suspensions.
Sadly soon all combustion cars and trucks including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Car washs will be forbidden too because they are climate killers, now they want to slow down all the gas station pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime.
Design'n da po boy fresh air conitioner, cut'n a curve in da steel, test fit da storm trooper look, build'n da slimmer winder frame, mount'n dat frame, make'n dem side slides, out n up.
OLD PABLO was laying on the floor when you were making window hold outs and if you look close you can his eyes looking over at you / good job on window frame
Excellent video Brent :) got all electrical fix and back tail lights with license plate light too work on also Speedometer plus gauges fix up now and horn be add too !
That came out good. If you make windshield latches that are L shaped when the window is all the way forward they would drop down into the leg of the L to keep the window forward without having to tighten knobs. That's how our old Alice tractor work.
Alot of thinking going on here 😂 But I knew the direction you was going by following along with the tunes looks like it turned out great once the glass is in it will be fine, I thought you might round off the corners of the frame👍Keep on going and we"ll keep on watching the progress
A.Adams supply used to have piano hinge, think you can get 8 footers if i recall. Lee valley, they would have hinges. Like the precise way to mark hinge holes,im going to use that! Plasma table is never cheating,if you have it, use it. And i like the window holding brackets. You use the primers before urethaning in the glass? Or primerless urethane? Or is the primer type gone now? I will have to ask my glass buddy. Another day of awesome work! Thanks Brent!
God bless i no ya wil get it done it takes lots more time an brains more than anyone watchin no one has ideal an ya got comon sence an people like us have to be punished by those who dont have comon sence lil god bless be safe andrink ya a few cold ones they say a beer aday keeps the doctor away
Just use the plasma table! Anyone who comments that they can't do it because they don't have one, are just making excuses and wouldn't be doing this stuff anyway. Anyone else can figure it out on their own, otherwise they wouldn't be doing it in the first place.
If you have a compass, you will be able to transfer the arc of the lower windshield opening to the materiel of the window frame without the excessive measuring.
Fabricating the windshield frame was a great video to watch. I especially like your “no nonsense no slide rule” engineering. Ya just make it work and it works. I know you are leaving the top for the future owner but would love to see it done…..as always, thanks for inviting us all to Halfass Customs Garage.👍👍
you should weld nuts to spigot handles for your windshield opening adjustment.
Window frame came out real good. Super job!
Nice to see you finally use a tape measure, but you'll have to do some sanding on the bottom of the frame to get it from dragging on the hood. But nice work. Scott in Southern Oregon
Turned out sweet. Great job 👍👍🇨🇱
Yes a wiper is cool
Ahh yeh there.u.go lookin.good now..

Mechanical or manual wiper(s)? Great job, want to make another for my TT?
Tell me where you got that tripod! Please and thank you...
Wow 113K subs. I remember finding and subscribing to your channel when it was under 500. Good design and execution on the windshield frame.
Love the handmade windshield frame, looks mighty fine. Will you be taking the frame to the glass shop or will you just make a cardboard template to bring to them?
use some 1/8" plywood to make the templates.
As a glass installer . done a 100 of these over the years. Didnt fit good from factory, nmore than 50 % of people bitch it dont look right .channel is a u, glass is straight, leaves gap. Keep these great projects coming. Good to see that sub count moving up.
Love that windshield, looks awesome
My universal experience with markers is they only work when you don't need them.
And I thought they work on things you didn't know you need ^^ (whilst being unavailable if you need them)
Looks Great, Thanks for all the ways of doing stuff. Much appreciated
Windshield frame turned out great. Looking forward to seeing what you do with the visor.
That windshield looks great. Thanks for showing us. Maybe if you had an old van you could cut a section out the roof for the top.
I enjoy watching how you figure things out as you go and always come up with a great result. Joe
I like it, I think it needs a few clips to hold the glass in place but it's a great design, nice work Brent 👍
I think you can get piano hinge in length from (mc master car ) and u forgot to box in the bottom of those front frame extensions?
The frame looks fantastic.
Brother you are definitely a Craftsman. Great work Great video as usual.
Another enjoyable video 😎👍. Kind of a struggle 😅 but you powered through. Turned out pretty nice 👌. Looking forward to seeing the next one 😀.
Looks good, Brent . . . took a lot of work but the results speak for themselves! Golden!
Lookin like the old horn rim glasses of the fiftys....🤣🙄...like mike Douglas on the movie falling down...ewww ...sinister
Great job.... If I might suggest on your next job similar to this you use a scribing compass that you set your distance and and move along the radius.
ALSO....for those that thought your arc radius was not symmetrical, the camera has a fisheye distortion to the shot.
Not sure about shipping but I recently bought a 1-1/2 in x 72in nickel steel hinge for $21 from Home Depot free shipping here in West Virginia
Home depot is in Canada too. Great idea.
I know you're not planning for a top....but I just had this nuts idea... Find a vacuum forming place to make a clear acrylic bubble top.
Nice addition to the car. Much better thana fixed windshield. Every car deserves a few pieces of jewelry - it makes them feel 'special'.
As always, thanks for the great work and interesting content.

Talking to yourself is OK. Arguing with yourself is less ok. When your both wrong is bad.

I have to make a window frame for my 30 Plymouth 4dr. This video is just the ticket. Thanks!

...so Brent...which of your cars are you gonna sell because you decided to keep this one?....ha ha......
Just get it done, what a clever fellow. Really enjoy your videos. Thanks so much for sharing. Dennis
Yea, I think most of us are stilling as we go. I know at 57 I still don't know it all, and probably never will.
Lookin sweet. Thought about the alternator bracket just before you said it lol.awesome tho..long as it keeps the bugs out of your teeth 😉
Couldn’t you do a roof + visor combo?
A.Adams supply used to have piano hinge, think you can get 8 footers if i recall. Lee valley, they would have hinges.
Like the precise way to mark hinge holes,im going to use that!

The beginnings were a little Chunk ay-y-y-. Now nice and streamlined. I like it
One more step outta the way...
Loooks great... 👍
Oh Pablo love'n da ride !
I am so sorry. Age creeps up with no respect to persons. I hate senior moments, however I did enjoy yours... lov ya bro.. ha ha
think i would make a bikini top like on a jeep or open Bronco or Blazer . Being removable but give some relief from the elements .
Theirs no glove box for papers, make a pocket in the roof, or roof console above the windscreen.?
Pablo sure likes the car drive, In his last life he was the chauffeur for General Eisenhower.
More nice fab work !! Thank you for sharing !!! God bless you and yours !!!!! Eddy
Just make your templates outta cardboard. Cheaper, easier an alot more economical.
Looks like a dang Jeep windshield..lol why didn't u use the wall hanger as template
So why didn’t you use the wall hanger to get the arc for the lower part of window? 😂😄😁
Thank you Mr B ,I've got to make one for my modle t,hope you got time to look at a pic when I get through
God bless i no ya wil get it done it takes lots more time an brains more than anyone watchin no one has ideal an ya got comon sence an people like us have to be punished by those who dont have comon sence lil god bless be safe andrink ya a few cold ones they say a beer aday keeps the doctor away
Brent, I think I would keep it, guy could always use another toy.lol
My-T' fine craftsmanship Brent!! Soopa minty ✌😎👍
now that`s the cats meow. super job as always. thanks for another great video
Yeah... Steel Carpentry is more forgiving... And, it looks great ! ! !
🖒🤠
Cut a groove in tubing...like vw safari windshields...
Maybe your next build could be an all electric hot rod or truck. You are awesome.
Right What were you saying ? I,m here for PABLO.
Am laughing my pants off
Windows are Windows to the world, Thanks Halfass Kustoms
Your window latch is similar to old school wooden house window latches (if you want to spend $$). Great content as always !!!!!
Yup, I want this car! Lol, please let me know when it’s done
Just use the plasma table! Anyone who comments that they can't do it because they don't have one, are just making excuses and wouldn't be doing this stuff anyway. Anyone else can figure it out on their own, otherwise they wouldn't be doing it in the first place.
You need to do something more with the dash, it looks unfinished and needing help.
What do you think about a according style folding roof for you little rod? I like the windshield frame.
I'll let the next feller play with that haha, I've been a plywood roof guy myself :)
Use a hood from another car for the top, Jonathan w. Did a car that way
A 60s hood with a rib down the middle.
Always love your outrows with you and pablo cruz!
Hey Brent...what kind of tri pod is that with the extending arm?
thats ok i talk to myself all the time i get better answers that way lol hello everyone
so I can use some small angle and make my own frame and that would work
You an buy those s.ides at Bob Drakes, nice going
If you have a compass, you will be able to transfer the arc of the lower windshield opening to the materiel of the window frame without the excessive measuring.
Hey Brent if anyone thinks they can do better yeah right huh .
Why didn’t you use the one on the wall for a template ?
You Could Use Wing nuts on the window harness 🤔
Very nice Brent! Hope you're doing well!
when it goes the color of the car it will disappear
🇬🇧👍🏻 love the build bud
Am most impressed by those new overalls.
The Stormtrooper T is looking mighty fine. lol, nice job on the window frame. Anxious to see the visor on the T . Be good and stay safe
👍
Thanks for another cool video 🐾🍺

Do Plexiglas for a roof, it might look cool.
What color your painting the truck
The more you do to the car, the more I want it.
Just curious do you ever race the cars you build actually my 8-year-old daughter wants to know
I have gone down the track in a couple a few times but that's the extent of it haha
Excellent job Brent looks Great
Great frame, and I especially like the latches to hold the window open. Nice work!!
Always enjoy your programs 🤓
Use the original one for a template
That is SO COOL ! Looks great.
Thanks for taking us on a ride.
