Brent..you have the very best background music. Really great to listen to and great performers. Thanks ! 😊
Brent, I could spend an hour just trying to explain your channel to someone. I am an 80 year old hot rodder and your talent is amazing. You are a terrific source of inspiration for me as I struggle to build a walking cane making business here in Florida. I look forward to your work every day. Just want to say thank you.
Pablo's face speaks volumes. Like, "The man has become crazy, now speaking and laughing to a small box".
The roof is perfect. Pure art. I can’t wait to see Brent, Esther and Pablo cruising in this truck.
Can’t believe this roof all started with a side glance at a fender you had, seeing the curvature in that fender which caught your eye then building this whole roof from that moment in time and now look at it,couldn’t fit and go with the truck any more perfect, amazing work Brent it’s like watching an artist at work..can’t wait for the glass too arrive 😁🦾🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
This one turns out to become a masterpiece.
Radical, yet overall perfectly fitting, all fell into place.
Great piece of sculptured automotive art.
Brent it is fun. I have been watching you for a long time and it's fun watching you hammer out the details. When you started this project a lot of people didn't get what you were doing. That's fun. Love your work Brent. Love your trucks.
Hey ... There's nothing wrong with sittin on the couch. ... I'm on lunch break now so I'm sittin on the couch eatin and watchin you work.
you better sand and grind the top cuz if you don't you're going to see every little pimple and well Mark in that thing even if you pad it and you better paint it before you do rough snowy winters will show in no time rust
Yep, just like under panty lines on a woman
The window trim is really going to give a great finish look.
You’re like some metal magician, fascinating to watch you fabricate and make everything just work👍
When your smiling , the whole world smiles back at you , Its infectious . Thank you Brent , the day is so much brighter . Stuart in Ontario ..
If you get the windows tinted, the glass all stays put when it breaks, usually.
Yeah then if it does break you won't have a pile of broken glass bits to clean out of the bottom of the door
Nothing beats a day off relaxing and watching Brent work his magic.👍
You really nailed the look of that top , it follows the lines of the truck perfectly !
hi, I've been watching your videos for a long time. I really like them. I wish you only success in building new cars
I’m always amazed how you manage to make this look easy. Really look forward to the next episode…
It's coming along really well, Brent. Thanks Brent and Ester for all you guys do.
Hello Sir
I allways can't wait for the next new video from you ! Have a good one Daniel from Switzerland
Always a joy watching your projects Brent. When you explain what you plan to do, you make us feel the viewer , feel like we're there with you ! Thank you, I'm learning a lot!😊
😂😂🤣🤣 "Jibba-Jabba" Now I know you watch Taylor Ray too. He does awesome fabrication. Love ya work Brent, you definitely have an eye for excellence Mate. Billy J...... Queensland, Australia.
I feel honored to be able to share this tip with a true craftsman like yourself. Put a dab of grease on the pin to mark the locating hole. Your work simply amazes me 👍
Let’s go. It’s time for another good one 👍👍
She’s looking good. Can’t wait to see the roof with the vinyl. I enjoy your show very much. Bruce from Montreal.
She's coming together nicely.
That top is looking awesome. Thanks Brent always a pleasure watching your channel
Brent, there's always so many questions I want to ask you, but I figure I'll wait for the end of the video, or I'll wait to see the next video. Sometimes in a later video, I'll see how you resolved my questions. Like somebody one said, "Better to be silent and thought a fool, then to open one's mouth and remove all doubt!" I'm ALWAY'S in awe watching you create your builds!!!
Keep on doing what you're doing Brent !!!!
Loookin' goood Brent...another few steps closer 👍
thx for the ride,
hey Pablo...🐕♥️
Try a dress makers tape for curved measurements, weighs a lot less than a tape measure dangling
Brent you are so lucky to be able to live out your passion. I envy you. Best wishes.
Brent, the top is turning out nice. Just to think it's all made out of scrap metal! Kudos to you, l like the finished touch! God bless you and the Mrs. Give Pablo a good rub! Jim
Looking Good!
Thanks Brent for this nice moment I just had watching your video ! "Tomorrow" had to watch it again😂
Brent half-ass customs doing great on this build sometimes he slows you down but the little things is what makes everything come together doing a great job and I'll be here to see you tomorrow and thanks for showing us what to do and how to do it if you didn't do it for us some of us we wouldn't know
Brent here's a trick I learned about transferring marks for holes, keep a tube of lipstick in your toolbox. You apply it to the pin and when you sit the roof down it'll leave a mark.
That truck is going so cool, nice work buddy. 👌 Be good and stay safe. 👍
I know there's a difference between mechanical ability and artistic talent but after watching you I'll be danged if I know what it is.
☮ ♥ from West Texas.
Great detailed work in this video. The weight seems pretty good for that amount of steel. Most importantly it suits the truck perfectly and definitely has that cool factor.
In the beginning I wasn't sure about the top of the windows, but after you trimmed it out, I'm digging it.
The more you think into it the more it generates work, however the end result is very very pleasing and constructional and fitting into the whole look of the vehicle so don't stop for now
Great minds think alike.
I'm glad to see you added the pins and sockets as I hoped you would, but I'm sure you'd agree, it's the obvious way (the fine details). ;-)
After the roof is done (rear glass, vinyl, etc...), my guess is 63. 7 lbs. ;-D
I really love how the top turned out Brent the curve and contours are perfect it all like fekin awesome together. Really enjoying this build.
Thanks
Make round holes in the top and put a vinyl with backing glue on it for covering all holes (way to remove weight).
I have you playing on my phone while I'm working, it's like having a buddy working next to me in a huge bodyshop💚🇬🇧🌱
All those finishing touches look really good. The plan is looking really good too. Look forward to more. Be safe and stay well.
Bless you for not losing faith, like a giant jigsaw with no image to follow, but it coming together great
Man that is a lot of work you put in there Brent and it all looks great to me. I like that piece you ran across the back of inside the top. Good idea to on what you want to put just under the the front lip of the top to. That should work out great. Always a "TREAT" to see you and Pablo at the end of your videos.. 🙂
Brent, the quality of this build deserves the stainless trim, not the peel and stick, I know, more work but it will be worth it. The top is fabulous.
the top looks awesome Brent, your vision turned in to reality 👍🏼🍺
The roof is realy taking shape, nice job. Tonights music was outstanding.
Love the build and your fabrication work. Thanks for sharing!
Hey Brent, the roof looks great like it was made for it and the front overhang making the visor looks perfect. Later
Brent, your shop looks awesome! I’ve been away for a bit and it’s amazing, congrats to you and your Wife
You're awesome Brent, and very talented in all fields
The roof is complete. With the top it will come together. Good frame work.
Use lipstick to make contact point. Try Drexel wire wheels to dull the stainless but slightly scratched should look brute and hide at same time
Wow just wow what great progress from where ya started from it's always a good watch .Thank you brother.
Brett an his crazy vision is all comming together as us viewers watch on an learn how too keep it interesting thru a long process,,an keep our interest as he has for 5 or 6 yrs as my first finding his site..an allways ending with the famous shop dog Palbo, allways leading. .lol later utubers
G'day mate, just an idea for the leading edge of the sunvisor, weld some 3/8 round rod to it, that should give strength and a good looking finish .look forward to seeing your ute on the road. Awesome show mate keep up the great work 👍
Color suggestions for top and interior upholstery. I think a tan or brown would look great with the green body. Just an idea. You do so great. Love all of your builds
I would tack your pins once you are done with fitting. as you run down the road they may thread up and down from vibrations otherwise. Loving the progress as always. Also with the short side windows you could put in small door speakers at the bottom for the days out cruising.
It's coming along nicely Brent!
Awesome build.👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌MINT
The top is great! Looks like it belongs for sure!
The stainless looks good. Sand it smooth, and wrap it with stainless wrap.
Lip stick is a good marker.i’ve used it in woodworking to mark for holes that need to be perfectly drilled.
Thanks for sharing 😀👍
How can you tell if someone is a hard worker--look at his hands! Those mitts are dirty Brent! 😆
Hey there Brent, if you get some window tint it will keep the glass from breaking apart and making a huge mess when it does break.
VFD Variable Frequency Drive.
The roof looks awesome Brent
It weighs more than I thought it would.
It’s really coming together , really great look.
RR
Brent, every step forward is moving toward the complete vision! It's already a really cool design with a touch of art deco from the 30s and hints of 50s SOCAL! Rat Fink and Moon Eyes are smiling! Mega Cheers!
Home depot sells anodized 1/2 - 3/4 aluminum square tube you can bend in a triple roller set up then cut the side out with a table saw the width of the glass and urathane it onto the edge of the glass.Mask the glass to cut down in the squeeze out and it would make it easier to cut the unwanted off with a razor blade. You could even use aluiminum tube cut out like a C shape and bond that to the edge of the glass.Food for thought. Brent ,watch out for burns and sparks on your nice seat!!.
Thanks for another , Brother !
You should get the old fashion trimming on the window channel. That is rubber and felt in the middle for the glass. Thd old LTd and Ford cars used to have it. It holds the window good.
Excellent video Brent :) also looks super 1949 GMC vechile and takes time to ! Yes Pablo The Supervisor Dog 🐕 doing his travel with you lots and Happy May 24 Holiday Weekend too !
Looking great Brent. 👍👍
I've had my 1950 chevy truck 50 years and had replace my laminated glass several times. I bought tempered glass about 10 years back and what a difference. No glass problems since and cheaper and tinted.
Cool stuff. I'm digging the progress! Great video. Enjoyed watching ✌️ 😎
Hi Brent, just thinking about that stainless trim. Jordan of Bennetts customs made some stainless shielding for spark plug wires and finished the welded joints that seemed to integrate well. You may already watch some of his work, the latest may be worth a look. This is looking great.
I think you should make a center brace for that visor, it would help in the wind.
Really diggin that bed, props.
Just a thought, but could you use some door edge guard around the front of your visor to prevent the vinyl from getting cut when you wrap it? It sure would save you a lot of aggravation!😂🍻
Its going to be absolutly beautiful when you paint it candy apple red.
Looking very good sir Brent thank you for sharing
I guessed 45 pounds for the roof. I have to say, the bodywork you do is pretty darned good. It takes a lot of talent to do the level of work that consistently comes out of “Half Ass Kustoms” shop. Just Sayin……...
Looking really good, Brent. I wonder how much the padding and vinyl will add. Maybe acid dip the top before hand to thin it up and lighten it? I think you've added enough structure to it that it should still be sturdy even if you had it dipped to remove 40% of the thickness.
This project is looking really good.
So now we know why Ester had the gym built so she can lift the roof lol , Looking forward to seeing you do the trim work .
Nice going, Brent
Yes Sir!!!
Hi again Halfass customs Brent and Ester from the D Mi 😎 hey thanks for sharing another update on your GMC and it's coming together 😁 hey I've got a name for your GMC ( patches) 😁 😅😜🤩🤔
So Nice Brent Thanks for sharing 💯👀
Coming along nicely Brent I use temping glass in my 48 caddy. Hearse worked out nice but not the windshield.
Man.. that is looking pretty cool brent 😉
When you were banging the top to mark your pin position---I thought , man you really will need to put some Boom Mat(summit) to quiet the sound. Works super,. Less expesive than dynamat, but will add some weight. Love the build!
I think you could save the stainless with super fine sanding and polish
the stick on chrome will look perfect Brent, if BadChad does it , so can you , the halfass way. 🍺🍺
good show Keep on Truckin😎👍
