Carls a good guy coming to help. Most people say " Let me know if theres anything i can do to help" and thats the end of it. Actions speak louder than words!
You could not have said it any better my friend. That phrase is always used at funerals, although we know people just say that to look good, and show boat in front of other people. Well put.
you are so correct, that is what people say and you seldom (almost never) get any help. its great to see two guys that are so good at what they do, do it in this extreme case, good for you Carl.
Man I am SO STOKED to see you getting back on this car! With the two of you guys skills , I know this car will live again. Both of you guys are true craftsmen.
Hundreds, thousands of people want to see this build go down the road under it's own power and I have no doubt that you'll sort it out. You'll give your fans what they are anticipating. Good on you for undertaking this reclamation. It will be a glorious build.
You are truly an inspiration! I watched you spend ages on the bonnet (hood) only to see all your hard work go up in flames. You are now working on the 35 again, well done!
So happy Karl came down to give you a hand on this coupe. He's an absolute magician with sheet metal. Cant wait for more progress on this car in the new shop.
I started really following these two after watching one of each builds they working on and thinking how they gonna make something out of that. With Brent is was his last build (35 dodge 3 window when the shop burnt) and Carl it's a combination of his wife's caddy, but mainly the Lincoln.
At the moment when, after a few minutes of work, the hammer showed the results, I started shouting loudly "Yes, yes, that's it". I wouldn't be this happy even if it was my car...
A friend in need is a friend indeed --it's more than money. I mean, blessings on the guys who have sent you tools and even money. That's great and they did what they were able to do. But for a man to drop his own projects and come over to help, that's just wonderful.
Ultra cool. Really great to see the "Phoenix " back in the garage. You can really see in this video that Karl wants it perfect but Brent wants it done... Lol, no half ass with Karl around. 😂
I'm happy that you are moving back to the 35 dodge and with positive thinking again. Great job that you are working on the 35 and your in good spirits. 👍
I gotta say, it HURTS MY SOUL that so much damage was done to what you had accomplished, but it is invigorating that you are back on the coupe build-up again!
After watching this posting, I am sure that there’s nobody better qualified to fix the fire damage than the two of you. As a mechanic with more than 35 years experience, with some body work experience, I was amazed at how well the dents came out.
I'm very happy to see the coupe rising like the Phoenix from the ashes. Great job getting it hammered back into a working shape again, I can't tell you how disappointed I was when the fire claimed the coupe. I was really digging that build and I'm elated it's on it's way back. As always another great video and very entertaining. This is one of if not my favorite show. God bless you Brent and the mrs. and wish you luck on getting the new shop together.
Watching the two of you work together pushing that car back into shape was pure magic. I wish there could be more collaborations but the logistics just aren't there. Phoenix is the perfect name for this project and I know all the viewers like myself can't wait for the shop building videos. Good luck from Tennessee.
OH WOW! Two of the best working together. The greatest post of all time. Thanks guys you really nailed it. Fantastic viewing & awesome talent & skill. Billy J..... Queensland, Australia.
If there's one man in the world that can fix this burned up pile of rust it would be you we have faith in you, and I haven't even watched the video yet I'm going to watch it tonight when I exercise as I always do
WOW that poor car took a beating! It was cool to watch the metal come back into shape while the two of you were working it! Nice to see you working on the Coup again. Great Video!
As you started out I thought wow, you got lucky. Then I realized who was doing the "massaging". You two could straighten that car out from a ball shape. You showed us all an amazing transformation when building it the first go round. Carl makes the impossible metal shaping look like another day at pre-school. Both of you are outstanding metal workers.
Brent, Karl is a great metal worker and even better Freind. The Coupe will turn out better than before. Never say Die l. Out of the ashes, the Phoniex Rises again. It's 3rd life.
The Pheonix has risen from the ashes !! It is so good to see its shape taking place again . Both Carl and you can see the project through the same eye , you both work so well together . Till the next time , I wait with the greatest of expectations . Stuart in Ontario .
That’s wild how good it came back you can tell Karl shares your passion for it and both your skills shine through. Looking forward to the next phase on the coupe.
Stunning results. I would have to agree that was a 2 person job. Mesmerizing to watch. You guys really brought it back in to shape. Sweet. I was thoroughly impressed and entertained. Thanks for sharing. What a great save!
I’m so glad I happened onto this post. Both you & Carl were my regular daily stops till the destructive fires. I don’t know if you remember me from then but I also was a victim of fire. I lost everything along with approximately 576 other victims of the Malibu fires then suffered a stroke. I’m still in the hospital and have been for all the time since then and have absolutely nothing to look forward to when I get out. My only joy was reading all the wonderful channels on Utube on a tablet a wonderful friend gifted me. I’m so very happy to see you rebuilding. I have to bail since it’s very hard for me to type this out with my left hand as my right hand is almost completely useless. Good night to you both, two of the best fabricators.
Hey guys, you have proven in the past that you guys work great together, nice work. This is the video I've been waiting for. Wow, great job, this is one of my favorite cars, new you could save it....Ralph
20:50 in on this one and you guys are doing great! Yes some more pushing and some buffing and it will be fine ! Keep smiling no one will know. We have two of the best men on the job here!
Glad to see you get back on the dodge. Now if you could leave out the LS and put a mopar engine back in…but I understand that there are times when you do what you gotta do. It’s great to see Karl helping out too…now that’s a good friend! Good luck guys!
I’m so glad to see that the two of you worked your combined magic and got it looking as amazing as you did. I know it will be a while before you get back on it can hardly wait. It looked great before the fire not so much after but it’s back on track and after all the work it will look marvelous. All I can say is you two have some mad skills, I’ll keep watching your old videos and and anything new you’re doing. Later
Brent, watching you and Karl working together to undo tragic damage on a nearly completed body is a high level lesson in metal mastery and patience! It is heartening to see that coupe coming back to life while witnessing two master craftsmen undoing what fire tried to destroy! Thank you both for a great video and an object lesson in how we always should be treating each other!
You fellas are like bread and butter together! The planishing hammer operation was jelly on the bread. Thanks for sharing your Hot rod friendship! Ken - HOT in the HOT
I said it before when you guys built Karl's truck . You should be in business together.. The magic flows when you work together that only happens once or twice in a lifetime two great craftsmen and characters as one pure magic ❤
It’s understandable, it was probably 1000 degrees plus in there so it’s just deformed now! Just take your time and push and dolly slowly and the metal will do whatever you want! I love blacksmith work and working metal! I welded and fabricated for almost 40 years and I’ve even blacksmithed some cutting blades for a trencher that they didn’t make anymore and the guy couldn’t find replacement blades for it! I made 41 blades for his trencher and he was astonished as I was but Brent I loved every minute of even though it wore my arm out beating on the steel shaping it! It was pretty cool brother! I love watching y’all shape the metal and your Coupe! I’d probably have to go back in your videos but I don’t remember what the Coupe looked like before the fire my friend, or the old truck that was in there!
Glad to see you're not giving up on the old coupe, after all the work you put into it. GREAT name for it, by the way; in the true Mopar tradition. [well, you could hardly call it a Firebird, now, could you?]
I watched the first build. My Grand father rest his soul was a body man. Hammering with a steel dolly non pnumatic was how these cars were fixed after an accedent. He had all of the tools to do this manually. I learned alot from him when I worked in the shop when I was 14. I am now 48.
So awesome to see you back on the coupe so soon Brent. You are a true inspiration to many. Great to see Karl by your side, you really couldn't have anyone better for the task at hand. The coupe really is a Phoenix - rising from the ashes! So excitrd to see you back on that old girl. Just love watching your channel from here in Australia.
Brent, l was so disheartened when you had your fire ,seeing your coupe sitting there all distorted and crunched! I thought then that lwould have tried to make repairs. I am so glad to see your going to breathe new life into it! You have a big jump on the repairs, with a little help from a friend 😉! Great job guys ,God bless, stay safe. Jim
Karl is really good at reading the metal, and shaping it to the desired profile through stretching and shrinking. You two make a great team. The ‘35 is looking much more like it did pre fire. Looking forward to seeing this one move forward!
It looks a whole lot better now. Well done to both of you for teaming up and beating the odds. I know you will keep us all up on the progress of the new shop build when it starts and have vids coming out. Do you have a 'dream shop' you have always wanted ? If so, time to build it. :).
Quote of the day, "If you squint its mint." I'll remember that when I'm in the pub next looking for some female attention.😂😂😂 Great job, guys. Watching how you smooged the panels back in to shspe on time-lapse mode was mint. The metal looked as though it was fluid at times, like when metal is taped, then poured into a mould at the foundry. Safe journey, Carl. Can't wait to see your videos uploaded.
Karl is amazing with body hammers. I am truly impressed on how the planishing hammer brought back the roof and the panels. I honestly thought the car was beyond repair.
I honestly didn't think that car would come back like that but you and Karl proved me wrong! Kinda gives new meaning to how do you eat and elephant! One bite at a time! Take care!
This whole tragedy has brought me out of a funk. Your attitude is inspiring. Watching people pull together to help, and so enthusiastically is a testament to how much you and Ester are loved. It also shows how many good people there are in this world.
Hi from NZ, I like that you're saving that dodge, well done. Live well, work hard, enjoy.
You two are killing it on the bodywork. It’s going to be amazing when you’re done compared to the mess you started with lol. Really like seeing you guys working together to get this done. Total skill. I think that after all the work that has been put into this car it should have a nice shiny new paint finish on it. This could be a great looking rod if it’s done to completion.
The Phoenix looks sooooo much better! You and Karl are a “dream team” when it comes to metal. I can’t wait to see what you do next with it - in the new shop!
When Brent’s wife looks in to see the progress you can see on her face how grateful she is for the progress and the metal stimulation it’s given her man as I’m sure she had to lift Brent up when the place burnt down it would be so easy to sell the scrap and curl up into a ball. More power to you guys 🇦🇺👍😊
If you squint it's mint! Fantastic progress, guys. Kudos to Karl for coming by and helping. I'm very impressed with the power hammer and his handling of it. You mentioned new shop. It will be very interesting to follow progress on that. All the best, Mart in England.
Carls a good guy coming to help. Most people say " Let me know if theres anything i can do to help" and thats the end of it. Actions speak louder than words!
I second that.
Yep just show up on his front porch one morning😊
You could not have said it any better my friend. That phrase is always used at funerals, although we know people just say that to look good, and show boat in front of other people. Well put.
Carl's a great guy, with a good channel also.
you are so correct, that is what people say and you seldom (almost never) get any help. its great to see two guys that are so good at what they do, do it in this extreme case, good for you Carl.

Karl's ability to understand how metal behaves will never cease to amaze me
You are truly an inspiration!
Yeah, I really like his sculpture work too, the skull and the brass knuckles were unreal cool!
The coupe. Looks. Great. Back to normal. Thanks
Major step forward. 👍The man never looks back.
Brent and Karl, 2 masters of metal and mayhem. As it started to come back to shape the whole vibe just became excitement 😁
I started really following these two after watching one of each builds they working on and thinking how they gonna make something out of that. With Brent is was his last build (35 dodge 3 window when the shop burnt) and Carl it's a combination of his wife's caddy, but mainly the Lincoln.
Well done guys! It's nice to have friends who help those who share the same passions! The name the Phoenix seems very fitting to me!👌
WOW! That part with Karl's power hammer on the quarter panel?!?! I'm shocked at how well that worked. Awesome job, guys!
You guys did what I would have thought impossible! WOW!!
Good old fashioned panel-beating at it's finest! Hats off to Karl - you are a true craftsman!
Id like to thank karl for giving his time up to come over and help you out with your rod i cannot wait to see it being worked on again be safe 😊
Karl is a miracle worker when it comes to moving metal.

Brent so glad you are starting on the coup, I was sad when I saw it after the fire. Karl, thank you for assisting Brent😊
Karl is a great friend to come help out! I'm glad to see the coupe getting straightened up. Nice work!
I'm very happy to see the coupe rising like the Phoenix from the ashes. Holy macaroni that was so neat watching it go back into shape! Y’all did a great job!
Brent and Karl the metal wizard's working there magic, Top work guys ,
That was an amazing transformation you and Carl did
One word, AMAZING!!! That should be the channels new motto, “if you squint, it’s mint”!
Karl’s patience with a piece of metal is phenomenal. Even if it’s moving one millimeter at a time.
As you started out I thought wow, you got lucky. Then I realized who was doing the "massaging". You two could straighten that car out from a ball shape.
You showed us all an amazing transformation when building it the first go round.

That was very satisfying to watch, particularly the time lapse of the passenger side quarter.
The Pheonix has risen from the ashes !! It is so good to see its shape taking place again . Both Carl and you can see the project through the same eye , you both work so well together . Till the next time , I wait with the greatest of expectations . Stuart in Ontario .
It's Great to See You Guys Working Together!...
That’s wild how good it came back you can tell Karl shares your passion for it and both your skills shine through.
Looking forward to the next phase on the coupe.
So glad to see the coupe is being saved (again). Felt like I lost a good friend after watching you build it for so many 'episodes' .
Wow. Just wow.
Well done guys, didn’t know if it was going to be possible! Even the gaps are pretty close!!
Sooo happy to see all that hard work you put into that car not go to waste.
It's good to see you guys working on her. It's super nice to have good friends like Karl. I appreciate you guys.
Fantastic work, I have been watching u from England for years and love the work u do, love to see this car revived.
Stunning results. I would have to agree that was a 2 person job. Mesmerizing to watch. You guys really brought it back in to shape. Sweet. I was thoroughly impressed and entertained. Thanks for sharing. What a great save!

You and Karl are a great team - it's awesome when you can feed off each other in sync.
That pneumatic plenishing hammer is worth it's weight in gold!! What a Mule!!

So glad to see you back on this, but a lot of work I front of you, wishing you all the best

Entire oil pan is melted away, but the man says I wanna see what I can salvage out of it. That's awesome.
Love how you take a pile of burnt metal and turn it into a great car . Learning a lot from your utube . Keep up the great job.

A first step in healing that beauty. So good you worked with Carl on that.
You guys make a great team! Nice work! You guys are "GOOD"! Great that Carl is helping you out! Excellent video!
I'm glad to see you working on the coupe again. Especially with Karl. Keep it up.
Amazing to see that quarter come out as good as it did so fast. Love seeing you get back at it.
It’s understandable, it was probably 1000 degrees plus in there so it’s just deformed now! Just take your time and push and dolly slowly and the metal will do whatever you want! Glad you're saving this one, it has such a sinister profile, great looking car.
Hats off to Carl for helping out out 👍
Glad to see you're not giving up on the old coupe, after all the work you put into it.
GREAT name for it, by the way; in the true Mopar tradition. [well, you could hardly
call it a Firebird, now, could you?]
You guys are just having TOOOO much fun !! Keep it going.
Simply amazing what you guys can accomplish! Bring this metal back to shape is fun to watch. Great friend to have indeed.
I watched the first build. My Grand father rest his soul was a body man. Hammering with a steel dolly non pnumatic was how these cars were fixed after an accedent. He had all of the tools to do this manually. I learned alot from him when I worked in the shop when I was 14. I am now 48.
I cant believe how good that looks with just a bit of hydraulics and some percussive maintenance! Great job, guys!
Nice to have a good friend like Karl to get you back on track.
So awesome to see you back on the coupe so soon Brent. You are a true inspiration to many. Great to see Karl by your side, you really couldn't have anyone better for the task at hand. Do you have a 'dream shop' you have always wanted ? If so, time to build it. :).
Your persistence and "can do" attitude is amazing. Your talents are impressive.
Wow!!! Phoenix is right, definitely rising from the ashes of a disaster. Great progress guys.
So happy to see this coupe salvageable. I love that thing. I think I'd call it "The Burnside Coupe" now, lol. Karl is awesome.
Quote of the day, "If you squint its mint." I'll remember that when I'm in the pub next looking for some female attention.😂😂😂
Great job, guys. Watching how you smooged the panels back in to shspe on time-lapse mode was mint.
The metal looked as though it was fluid at times, like when metal is taped, then poured into a mould at the foundry.
Safe journey, Carl. Can't wait to see your videos uploaded.
Now that is on point what I want to see. Straight forward with the genius Karl. Thanks a lot from Germany and keep Rockin`
I would not have believed it could come around that much. Wow!
sooo many hours working on this build before the fire , good to see it coming to life
It's amazing how good that quarter turned out! You guys do awesome work!
Karl is amazing with body hammers. I am truly impressed on how the planishing hammer brought back the roof and the panels. I honestly thought the car was beyond repair.
My two favourite fabricators are together again. Great video.
I honestly didn't think that car would come back like that but you and Karl proved me wrong! Kinda gives new meaning to how do you eat and elephant! One bite at a time! Take care!
More excited this go around than the first. Thanks gentlemen
Just a handy hint for ya's, when i was pushing a 38 chev coupe back into shape I cut chunks out of an old truck tyre tread, and put them between the Porta power rams and the body, i also used some as backing pads for slapping, etc. It's messy cutting the tyre up, but the pads I made became really useful in the shop for many jobs after that.
Because of this I watched Karl and see why he is such a help.... Thank You Karl.
Good to see the Phoenix coupe rising from the fire. It doesn't have to be a Ridler just a driver.
Two of the best fabrication guys on you tube really gave the coupe some love , for what it went thru ....
As soon as Karl touched the car I knew he was gonna put some hard work into it. I love the team work the Koup will be better than before.
If you squint it's mint! Fantastic progress, guys. Kudos to Karl for coming by and helping. I'm very impressed with the power hammer and his handling of it. You mentioned new shop. It will be very interesting to follow progress on that. All the best, Mart in England.
Carl is a metal miracle worker. Great job getting it back in shape. Look forward to you getting this back on the road.
