I’m planning on building a motor with m52b28 block and m54b30 crank, rods, and pistons. What thickness head gasket could I use to get an 11.5:1 compression ratio? I’d like to avoid shaving the head if I don’t have to.

how much HP did this make , 300 really? did u have any interference with the rod bolts hitting the bottom of cylinder wall? did u have to grind anything?

at least, and have a lot of fun,,, -;) it's now a high compression engine with a 0.70 mm head gasket
i have no interference with the rod bolts hitting the bottom or cylinder --shore its plug and play .. you have to use the oil splash guard of M54B30 Because The longer stroke

Very nice! Great job! I plan on building my M54b30 for turbo. But very unclear on head bolt info. Some say i must timesert and over size studs to 11mm others say its not necessary and i can use stock bolts.... big confusion.

M.I. A. In my M52B30 built we had to grind the bottom part of the cylinders else rods were hitting them and crankshaft wouldn't turn. I didn't need M54B30 splash shield either - the stock M52B25 fit perfect. With a bunch of other mods a nice power to be seen, but still far from 300 ponies on the wheels.

    • @andreasp.bernauer3125

Valentin Pavlov i agree. Facing this problem right now. Having to regrind bottom for rod clearance. Using M50nv rods are worst case.
