I am such a person myself and I am doing a budget build using eaton m62, some intercooler bent but not broken, diy intake manifold, and so on. Currently ive spent 100 euro on eaton m62, 150 euro on custom crankshaft pulley, 30 euro on supercharger bypass valve, im not gonna count drive belt itself nor the tensioner. That, is a budget build. What he created is awesome, and it works, and will be reliable too.Hes got the knowlege, the skills and the will to do. This is a budget build, sorry, but not very small one , is it? :D
@@TomoReso A supercharger setup will always be cheaper. You can't really do a turbo setup for less than 3 grand (with new parts, with used parts everything is possible), so considering many of the parts used in his build are legit quality parts, it's pretty good, I'd say it's not the most budget build, but it's probably the m5x turbo build with the best price to reliability ratio.
On my lawn tractor it blew the head gasket so I kept topping off the oil just to get my by for that 1 yard. I filled it up and forgot to tighten the cap and since the head gasket was blown it was a geyser of oil.

I lost my shit when you noticed the missing oil cap😂😂 the amount of times I've forgotten to put mine back on... its ridiculous. I always grab those at the junkyards plus gas caps lol

That oil cap had me cracking up. I whipped past a tinted out Audi on the freeway the other day 2 mins later it attempted a 140 mph pass by me but I see it coming and floored it. My e90 328 tops out at 138 so I’m topped out and I look at my hood and clearly it wasn’t latched. It pooped and pissed myself simultaneously.
just fyi the reason the wide bands die like that is because of thermal shock. so you leave the key on and the sensor warms itself up. then suddenly you start the engine and condensation from the exhaust hits the sensor and thermal shock it, cracks the sensor waffer internally. pretty common issue with wide bands. only really an issue if you leave the key on for extended periods without the engine running.
you should make a video that kind of walks someone through a similar build, like what to check before boosting. first mods to do and what order to do them and some tips and tricks that helped you! i want to build an e30 but don’t know if i should start with the clutch and trans or what
In my early 20s my 91 318is engine bit the dust so I was using my parents 98 M3 for a few months. Changed the oil on it and I was driving to work and realized I never put the oil cap back on and left it on the valve cover. Was like fuuuuuck my dads gonna kill me, pulled over and thank god it did the same thing and wedged itself in the engine bay. Fortunately the m/s50s don’t puke oil everywhere if you forget to put it on. The M42 not so much, learned that the hard way the one time I forgot to put its oil cap back on.
I laughed so hard at the oil cap situation because I've been there. I was doing a maiden voyage on my E39 after a fresh rebuild and I topped off the coolant and went for a drive. Came home car was smoking under the hood and turns out I forgot to put the reservoir cap back on like a dummy.
Lol. I love how you go from cool and collected to “omfg where’s my oil cap?!” Boost creep happens when you try to run low boost. The wastegate has to bypass more exhaust than when you run higher boost level.
Awesome work. Im going through a turbo m50 I have a small advice, you said ur putting late model bumpers. Please dont! Keep it original because late model will look very off, if you want to change bumpers, put euro ones! They look much better IMO. You do what you like though! Nice work

Love the video bro! Yh build is very similar to yours on my e34! You could probs do with an extra cam cover vent pipe and theirs a trick you can do by buying a beetle cam cap breather adapter it fits inbetween your oil filler cap and your rocker cover, it has a pipe that can go straight to your breather tank! I found a Copy part from China for about £7! This will stop your oil cap from poping out 😋
