"hes not going to sit back and watch him get slapped and beat up.."
27:13 that species of chimpanzee is called a bonobo(irl) and there arent very many of them left. in this movie the monkey named "koba" is the most agressive but hes very smart and on par with cesar and strength of will..
It's going to get to the point where I might start watching reactions to movies I haven't seen yet just because I enjoy your reactions so much. Seriously. GREAT reaction, yet again. Love that you're jumping into this series, Just in time for the new movie!

My sons and I have talked about this (originally started discussion with the subject of training--I trained horses, he trains dogs and what the differences are), we were arguing about at what point did human society start it's fall--was it the infection, the sudden intelligence in most of the apes, what was it. I think you pinpointed it--the moment when Caesar successfully dominated a human. Dominance is key in primate societies like chimps.
The no scene is a very important one if u watch the old movies. In the last there is a scene where apes and human children get taught together and a black guys i telling a ape "no" what does trigger the apes and then it gets explained that no is a banned word for humans to say because it represents supression. And on another section it gets pointed out and explained that "no" was the first word a ape ever spoke because the humans did use it so often on him.
You guys literally chose my 2 favourite movie trilogies to show each other haha. Funny how Andy Serkis absolutely crushes it in both of them while also in motion capture too, he’s amazing.
Imagine how the apes from the original felt when Charlton Heston (Taylor) spoke. "Get your filthy paws off me, you damn dirty ape". Right up there with "Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn" and "I'm gonna give him an offer he can't refuse".
I was never a fan of the Planet of the Apes and was coming to the cinema to watch this one with very low expectations but I enjoyed it a lot. And I have to admit, Caesar saying "NO", the whole room going quiet (and when I say quiet I mean QUIET)... That gave me chills and I remember it to this day.
I'm sure someone on Patreon has already said this but Bright-Eyes is the name Dr Zira gave to Charlton Heston's character in the original Planet of the Apes. There's so many nods to Planet of the Apes in this trilogy I love it. Shows real respect and appreciation for the original film
Don't forget "it's a madhouse" and "get your filthy paws off me, you damn dirty ape"...I got goosebumps when those lines were quoted. This trilogy really shows a great deal of respect for the original 5 movies and the lore. It just makes them that much better!
The ability to say "no" and the power to enforce your "no" is a pretty fundamental right as a human being. It's pretty crazy to think that so many humans don't get to exercise that right.
Not only did Andy Serkis do the mo-cap, voice and all that, but his actual facial expressions helped guide the animators. He's so freaking brilliant at what he does.
The thing is with Cesar, is he wasn't capable of speaking until he steals the cannisters. He had the genes from his mum for intelligence but he also breathes in the gas not just once, but twice. Once in the house and then again in the paddocks, the other apes only get one dose. That's why he is the first to speak and gets so much smarter toward the end of the film and starts making battle tactics.
don't know if that's true at all if the gas exposer made him even more smarter tha bee fore but i believe it cause we see him inhaling that sht a few times and i asumed the same , you made me curious to find out if it's true , let's call the director and ask him lol .
No, Caesar are just holding it all in. Breathing what inside the cannister really doesn't give him more intelligence, it's already in him. The ape from lab is smarter than anyone who just breath it in. They just had a consciousness of what's happening around them but they ain't smart yet, them able to talk is because they are evolving and those apes from lab also passed on their genes, Caesar unlike all of them had it through genetics, so it's more natural for him. If he still stayed with Wil, He surely will talk still.
Ceasar was also raised by the doctor and given consistent logic puzzles and other congnitive tests to complete, so he's a natural for command and strategy besides his obvious intelligence from multiple exposures.
The goosebumps and amazement I got watching the entire franchise will never fade away. And the way Ceasar showed the apes the humans brutality was genius like he was willingly allowing himself to be electrocuted until he had enough.
Something really interesting i picked up on about this trilogy after i learned sign language: Sign language cuts out a lot of filler words for the sake of keeping up with people speaking, so when Maurice the orangutan asked "why cookie rocket?" Thats actually how you would sign "hey, why'd you have rocket give us all cookies?", its just the literal translation instead of the actual translation. And in the later movies they slowly transition to using the actual translation instead of the literal translation to show the progression of the apes' communication skills. Which i think is a really cool detail that the filmmakers didnt have to include.
When I first saw this movie (and the sequels), I instantly thought : this is great cinema. Not good, not nice, not ok, but great. The type of movies I will watch in 10-20 years. The kind I want my children to see. Intelligent, well made, well acted; well written. It was made with CARE and it shows every single frame. People working on this LOVED it. You can feel it.
So remembering Kong Skull Island reaction, and how Denise said she loved the Peter Jackson King Kong movie, Andy Serkis playing Cesar makes sense when he had already done mocap for Kong. A criminally underrated actor.
Several yeas ago i saw a documentary about a chimp, which i think was called Nim, who was raised in a human family as an experiment to see if chimpanzees could learn human language. He learned about 150 signs i think, and not just “i want” and stuff like that. He made jokes and could be sarcastic aso. Later he became too big to live with his family, so they were forced to sent him to a zoo to live. His family visited him, but that made him more sad and aggressive, so they were told it was a bad idea to visit him. One of the most heart breaking things i have ever seen, was when his human mother came to visit him after several years without seeing him. The very first things Nim says to her was “cookie” and “home?” When she told him that she couldnt give him any cookies because he was only allowed food for chimps, and that she only was there to visit him, you could see all live in his eyes just fading away. He then turned away from her and didnt want to talk to her anymore. I’m actually crying right now, just thinking about it. His mother had a confrontation with the zookeeper, because Nim’s living arrangement was completly without any nature, just like in this movie. She explained that Nim was depressed because of it, and that it was animal abuse. And, just like in this movie, the zookeeper did not care at all. He didnt even try to hide it, because he knew that he had the law on his side. He blamed the mother for giving Nim a human family, and suggested that it was her who had made him have unrealistic expectations because of that. He then just shrugged his shoulders and said that the chimps are getting plenty of food, and comes out from their smaller cages several hours every day. That zookeeper is a human that i am not scared to admit that i hate with all of my heart. It does look like they have seen the same documentary as i have, those who have written this movie, because i see many similarities between that, and the movie.
When you mentioned "exhibit these behaviors in the real world", it reminded me of the story I heard years ago. An old, domesticated chimp who was used in many movies suddenly turned on his female "owner/handler" and ate her hands and face. These are and always will be animals, no matter how similar they are to humans
I cannot begin to describe the ‘whoa’ factor of Caesar speaking for the first time. Just the way they lure you in with the ‘ha-ha, funny reference’ line and then BAM!! Every single audience I’ve ever seen this with, theater or friends, immediately gets that bootyhole clench when he finally declares his independence. Just… “Whoa…”
One of my all time favourites...right in my top 5...Andy Serkis nailed the whole trilogy...watch the extras and the BTS with the motion tracking...its incredible 😊
Let me tell you something I keep repeating “Caesar is home” each time I’m in my favourite spot because it’s the most relatable profound line i ever heard or seen in a film . What a line!
Another great reaction! "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" is a rare example of a reboot done right. The acting, writing, music and direction are on point. It's full of great performances, especially John Lithgow's (so heartbreaking!), but Andy Serkis is next level! He's the King of Motion Capture! Lots of people, myself included, thought that he deserved an Oscar nomination for his performance. Post-pandemic, the end credits DEFINITELY hit different, to put it mildly! Hope you react to the whole series! 🙈🙉🙊🦍🌍
I can never get over the scene where Caeser gives the ALZ to the other chimps and just how silent the sanctuary is when they all wake up. They all went to sleep and woke up sentient, that must truly be an insane feeling
It’s actually amazing how all the movies line up with each other so perfectly u can tell this was all planned out from the start and not just something they came up with as the movies went on nd the quality of them is just amazing not rushed or anything
My first time experiencing any of the 'new' Planet of the Apes movies. The last one I saw was the 2001 movie, and I liked it enough... but only saw it once. This is why I love reaction channels, of any variety; music reaction channels? I've found so much music I would otherwise never have heard. General reaction channels have led me to discussions on philosophy and better ways of thinking. Movie reaction channels have opened my eyes to movies I probably wouldn't have given the time and pushed myself to watch. What's more, and I've commented on this before, I can't get enough of your insights into cinema, writing, camera work, and... everything movie-related. I feel blessed and I thank you two for that.
When I say the audience went crazy in the theater when Caesar first spoke when I saw it premiere night......They friggin went nuts. I tell people all the time that Caesar is one of the greatest characters in cinema history. And the GREAT Andy Serkis should have a special Oscar category named after him for Mocap performances. He has more than earned it. Great movie. Great start to one of the greatest movie trilogies of all time.
So fun fact: Me and a group of friends went and saw this in theaters in high school. It wasn’t packed but there was a decent amount of people. After Ceaser spoke for the first time, you could hear a freakin pin drop it was absolutely dead silent. Like I don’t think anyone breathed. Until I, being stunned by that moment as well, went “well shit.” I didn’t mean to, it just kind of popped out (and it was so audible in that dead quiet) but it was fine because everyone in the theater laughed
This was a great reaction and the fact that one simple word like "NO" can just stop your heart and make you unable to exhale for a good 5 seconds even after 13 years is crazy.
Being someone that grew up on, and absolutely loved, the original POTA films I was kinda groaning inside when I heard they were making these, but 10 minutes into the film not only was I relieved I was ecstatic, they really did an A+ job, making it their own while showing proper respect and homage to the OG's.
I think by far the best of the trilogy. You could sense the "moment" was coming at some point but it still is absolutely shocking when it happens. Andy Serkis is an absolute treasure and a master for bringing Caesar to life! Class act. Thanks for the reaction you two. Enjoyed it.
This entire series is masterfully made. I’m so happy to see you guys giving it a chance. It truly is one of my favorite film trilogies, especially of the 2010s.
Awesome! The journey through Andy Serkis’ greatest hits continues! After you guys get through this you have to do Peter Jackson’s King Kong(extended cut FTW) for Ari, not only did Serkis star in that one he did the MoCap for Kong as well
@@TheBombasticFatRat Yep, it was the precursor to him playing Caesar in the newer Planet of the Apes movies. He also was the Assistant Director on Peter Jackson’s Hobbit trilogy. The man has quietly put together an amazing career
The pacing in this movie is epic - one of the best in movie history in my opinion, doesn't miss a beat - every scene is lean and meaningful, forwarding the movie without wasting any superficial "fat" on other issues. Classic.
I saw the three films the same day, in the same seat, in the same screen, one of my favourite memories! Because of the "War" release, some cinemas in my country screened "Rise" and "Dawn" the previous afternoon, and by the time they finished, "War" avant premiere started... What a deal!
As someone who is studying psychology, this movie does a phenomenal job at displaying emotions on animals, since apes are very similar to humans. It makes sense that if they gained this level of intelligence, they would eventually learn how to stand up for themselves. It's extremely well done.
As a fellow movie buff with a passion for cinema I started delving into reaction videos and I must say I enjoy your channel the most! The level of connection the two of you have is, in my opinion, the ultimate “relationship goal” on top of the appreciation for the amount of effort that goes into making a movie or series, especially the music score 🎵❤️ Thank you for doing what to do and I look forward to watching the rest of the the “Planet of the Apes” story it’s one of my favorites! Much love!
Hearing Caesar say no for the first time gave me goosebumps. Seeing people react to it is always fun to see cause it’s the same oh my god reaction I had.
I am the care giver for my Mother with Alzheimer’s. This movie is so hard to watch on so many levels. I’m glad to see the righteous anger in your eyes at the treatment of the animals. I am scared to imagine the actual treatment given. Thanks guys❤️💜
I remember seeing this in the cinemas and the absolute silence in the entire room when Caesar stood up and finally spoke. The tension had been growing and growing but I don’t think anyone was ready nor expected him to speak - the film did just incredible job at showing their intelligence and circumstances growing up to that point. It was like the tension finally tearing open rather than a single snap or pop - it rended through.
An astonishing surprise back in 2011 - a fantastic film - so glad Denise loved it (not that I thought you wouldn't for a second!) I know others have spoke of it - but the "No!" moment - it felt like all the oxygen was sucked out of the auditorium. An amazing moment in modern cinema. Love your work - you're good folk and really likeable.
Andy Serkis never failed with the mocap acting. He did an amazing job as Smeagol/Gollum. He was superb as Ceasar. He also played King Kong in Peter Jackson's version.
Caesar's first speaking moment and the credits still go so hard. I hope you also check out Peter Jackson's King Kong film one of these days since Andy Serkis does mo-cap for that too (also given how you guys just watched the LOTR trilogy)
That scene of ceaser finally speaking is by far the best scene cause you have that build up with the music in the fight and then silence after the first word
I love the story behind the genesis of this movie. Rick Jaffa getting inspired to write a screenplay based on genetically engineered drug treatments for tenacious conditions like Alzheimer's and how that could potentially go wrong, and real-life stories of people trying to keep chimps as pets without realizing that they're very powerful animals with high intelligence and a *very* nasty streak (chimpanzee troops can actually engage in WARFARE with each other). As he started writing this sci-fi horror story of a drug gone wrong and smart and vicious chimps, he realized "Huh. I'm writing a Planet of the Apes film." Then called up Fox and asked "Are you working on a Planet of the Apes film? No? Would you like to?" 22:19: "He's very smart, but he exhibits all his instincts, too." Well, and he's also basically a teenager. A bit moody, questioning his place in the world, and lacking the wisdom and impulse control that comes with maturity. Pile on top of that his existential crisis of being literally unique in the world (smarter and more self-aware than any other ape, too much ape to be human), and it's kind of amazing Caesar held on as long as he did. Thankfully, Will raised him right, and Caesar is fundamentally a gentle soul, because his snap could have been SO much worse. I forget exactly where in the special features for these movies it's stated, but someone talks about the idea that "Andy Serkis is a great motion capture actor," and corrects it to "Andy Serkis is a great actor," full stop. He shines in motion capture because he helped pioneer the technology in Lord of the Rings, but it's his ability to master physicality, create character with a look or just intensity from the eyes, that makes his motion capture characters so amazing. He's just an incredible talent. If you like this kind of subtle, all-in-the-eyes acting, I HIGHLY recommend checking out "Soldier" with Kurt Russell. He only speaks 104 words in the entire film.
The fact that Iam watching this reaction with u guys proofs how much I love you.. I honestly couldn't deal with Cesar's facial expressions. It breaks my heart every time...just like king kong for some reason😅
Hey guys, I just discovered your channel in the Dead Reckoning video, and now I'm browsing through your reaction to some movies that I watched and loved, Love your content and reactions, you seem like genuine movie fans!!!
This whole trilogy is full of love and passion. If you haven't seen them all then treat yourselves. I'm a sucker for incredible stories. Plus Andy Serkis always makes everything legendary.
I remember going to the theatres to watch this with my older brother. When Caesar spoke for the first time, I turned to my left to see my brother and he had the same expression as Denise. Such an iconic moment.
Great reaction. This has to be one of my top franchise reboots in the past 15 years and I'm looking forward to the next movie in a few months. Love how Denise's reaction to the Caesar speaking moment was just complete shock like everybody else's. Cant wait for you guys to move on to the sequels.
Moment of appreciation that they built in an extra beat of time between "damn dirty ape" for the audience to react and inflict trivia on each other, broadcasted with body language, camera movement, and sound design that Something was coming to get their attention back, and THEN dropped the "NO." It's almost overdramatic if you're rewatching for the umpteenth time and not taken by surprise, but that's fine. It's not written, filmed, and edited for the umpteenth time, it's written, filmed, and edited for the first time, and that's a really, REALLY good choice.
I love your channel. You guys should become directors or something for a movie because the way you break down movies and realise small intricate details is incredible. Love you guys, keep it up 😊👍🏾
Just realized you haven't posted a king kong view. It's my fav mocap from Andy Serkis hands down, and also Peter Jackson did the movie so if you loved the lord of the rings you are in for a major treat
First of all, Andy Circus is the GOAT! Second of all, those credits really got to me. It's like they were doing a reference to the early 80's and Gaëtan Dugas. He was a flight attendant and an AIDS carrier. Because he flew on so many flights he was considered one of the biggest spreaders of the disease back then. So seeing how the lines were just blossoming out was unnerving for me. And this is a great reaction video. So proud of you both in how far you've come. You both are rockstar's in my book. 😎😎
54:22 I just noticed how the corpo pretty much does the opposite of the "asking permission" gesture. I find the symbolism of palm up showing both vulnerability, submission and possibly "offering" to be so cool. The corpo on the other hand, reaches out to grab/take help, which says so much about his personality, how Caesar might interpret it, and the differences between apes and humans in this universe... I didn't remember how good these movies actually are!
All hail the great CAESAR💚 This is an amazing trilogy, Caesar💚 is the best!!! ...love him to bits, hes a way better leader then most human leaders today. Hope u react to the other two.Caesar only bit the finger, it was still attached so that mean neighbour was lucky. Notice after all hes been through, Caesar has no first instinct or intention to kill humans or hurt people, just to free his apes. He never even killed the nasty Draco, he killed himself out of stupidity. Also the apes didnt kill any innocents, they just trashed a few offices and scared people tbf. You can see how heartbroken Caesar was to reject his human dad after he turned his back, its clear how hard it was for him & he continued using his window as his symbol on street signs afte r escaping. I always root for the apes, animals are true to their nature, & we betray ours. Also, Caesar can be infected again, so he also get even smarter when inhaling the 1.13 virus too, plus Caesar is way more intelligent since he had a proper human childhood education from Will.
I have to be honest, the moment Lord of the Rings was brought up I knew she was going to lose it learning Andy Serkis did the mocap and voice. I stuck around until the very end just for that reaction, it was worth it! Love your guys' reactions, always is interesting to hear your thoughts. Many other react channels are just either constant sarcasm, constant jokes and never anything of intellect. You both are a great mix of humour and intellect. Been binging your reacts and definitely have to subscribe now.
This movie is heartbreaking. It’s good, but the are so many moments that are just sad. The whole Alzheimer’s thing with Will’s dad must be so relatable for so many people. And the ape’s story is just unutterably disturbing imo. Imagine being turned into a this brand new type person and still being treated like an animal and worse with no rights and no respect 😣 I didn’t care for most of the CGI, but the story easily makes up for it, 9/10.
It's such a phenomenal story with so many deep themes that are truly thought-provoking. When I first watched these I didn't expect much. I just thought they'd be your standard blockbuster. I remember by the time I left the theater after the 2017 finale I was in awe by the story they were able to tell.
Saw all 3 of these at the cinema - when Caesar spoke - the collective gasp in the cinema! 😮 It’s a fantastic trilogy but I cannot watch them again - the cruelty towards Caesar & his gang just breaks my heart ❤
Perhaps the most underrated trilogy in movie history. This first instalment is incredible (when first watching it at the cinema, that moment where Caesar first spoke made the entire theatre gasp-what a moment), but arguably each successive film is better than the last. Very much looking forward to your subsequent reviews 🐵🦍🔥#apeshallnotkillape
Planet of the Apes trilogy got an average IMDb rating of 7.5 and 89%-83% on Rotten Tomatoes. That isn't underrated at all, if anything it's actually praised and acclaimed by both audience and critics.

Imagine if a squirrel stood up and said that NOooo in it's chipmunk voice. That would be hilarious 🤣. 🐿️
THE BEST take. What an awesome comment!! 🔥🔥
It goers far beyond that, for the first time an ape reached into free will and denied his primal instincts of fear and running away.

I saw this in theaters too, NO ONE made a sound, it was just pure shock. You could hear a pin drop.
Day 1 theatre watcher here, can confirm.
Ohhhh that's awesome!! It's such a joy to keep an eye out for those little nods, it adds such a layer to the film!!
Don't forget "it's a madhouse" and "get your filthy paws off me, you damn dirty ape"...I got goosebumps when those lines were quoted. This trilogy really shows a great deal of respect for the original 5 movies and the lore. It just makes them that much better!
@@genekent2391I grew up with the original movies and, in my opinion, at least the first one should be watched before watching the new trilogy.
@@msj2677 me too. I believe they have watched the 1968 original. Tbh, I'd watch all 5 of the originals, first, but, too each their own.
@@genekent2391 I would also suggest that if you love the Planet of the Apes series, you should read the book.
Andy Serkis is the Goat! His acting of Cesar is so legendary
All the apes eventually learn to speak. I think it's just a part of their evolution as sapient beings, discovering what they're capable of.
Something really interesting i picked up on about this trilogy after i learned sign language:
Sign language cuts out a lot of filler words for the sake of keeping up with people speaking, so when Maurice the orangutan asked "why cookie rocket?" Thats actually how you would sign "hey, why'd you have rocket give us all cookies?", its just the literal translation instead of the actual translation. And in the later movies they slowly transition to using the actual translation instead of the literal translation to show the progression of the apes' communication skills. Which i think is a really cool detail that the filmmakers didnt have to include.
as a translator, I get this.
Cesar saying "No" was one of the best movie moments of past 20 years. I appreciate this doesn't try to replicate the original.
“Im deniiise😁” always makes me smile.😂
😊😊😊
"I already know I'm gonna hate humans in this one" 😂 Everyone who has seen this film can relate to that sentence so much!
So remembering Kong Skull Island reaction, and how Denise said she loved the Peter Jackson King Kong movie, Andy Serkis playing Cesar makes sense when he had already done mocap for Kong. A criminally underrated actor.
and Skull Island Kong was mocapped by the actors who played Koba and Rocket!
imagine "has played multiple cinematic primates" on your resume
The “NO!!!” Scene along with the “Caesar is home” scene still give me chills
The scene where Ceasar first speaks, is one of my favorite scenes I. Movie history. Every single time I see it, I get goosebumps
The fact andy serkis did mocap for gollum, king kong, and cesar, and making them all drastically different from eachother is pretty awesome
When you mentioned "exhibit these behaviors in the real world", it reminded me of the story I heard years ago. An old, domesticated chimp who was used in many movies suddenly turned on his female "owner/handler" and ate her hands and face. These are and always will be animals, no matter how similar they are to humans
Nope.
Honestly looking back it’s probably one of my top theater experiences. The dead silence in the room when Caesar spoke was so impactful.
"Bootyhole clench" 🤣🤣🤣
@@Tink7200 it was unexpectic epic sht lol
Man, this is definitely a top 5 trilogy.
Definitely!!
Black Friday Trilogy mite still be tha best of all time
@@XxThePhantomFreezexXum The Lord of the Rings trilogy The Dark Knight trilogy
YES!!
Not in any order:
Godfather Trilogy
LotR Trilogy
BttF Trilogy
Dark Knight Trilogy
The original Star Wars Trilogy.
It ain't breaking into them
I can never get over the scene where Caeser gives the ALZ to the other chimps and just how silent the sanctuary is when they all wake up.
I remember watching this when I was in secondary school. Loved this trilogy of films. Thank you for bringing back the nostagia!
Thanks so much for the support, we had such a blast watching this one and can't wait to continue!
@@OfficialMediaKnights can't wait for your next reaction to this movie series! 🔥
This trilogy is amazing!
Yes, cannot wait to show the rest to Denise and share it with y'all!
Agreed so wicth is your favorite one
Yes agreed 💯
Serkis crushing it the the mo-cap suit once again, conveying so much by emoting and body language alone.
MO-CAP by Andy Serkis, Terry Notary, Toby Kebbell, Karin Kornoval, Christopher Gordon, Richard Ridings, and others.
Toby Kebbell was in there too?? Damn he's so underrated performer!!!
Man, Terry Notary was such an integral part for these movies. More people should know his work.
@@ArunKumar-vl4vlHe did the mocap for Koba iirc
So fun fact: Me and a group of friends went and saw this in theaters in high school. It wasn’t packed but there was a decent amount of people. After Ceaser spoke for the first time, you could hear a freakin pin drop it was absolutely dead silent. Like I don’t think anyone breathed. Until I, being stunned by that moment as well, went “well shit.” I didn’t mean to, it just kind of popped out (and it was so audible in that dead quiet) but it was fine because everyone in the theater laughed
The "NO" moment is in top 10 cinematic moments of all time. I swear. Chills. I won't forget it. Ever.
This was a great reaction and the fact that one simple word like "NO" can just stop your heart and make you unable to exhale for a good 5 seconds even after 13 years is crazy.
my nephew when he was 8 loved this so much for years he would watch it, just for the "NO!!!!!!!", he's 20 now and still loves it
Being someone that grew up on, and absolutely loved, the original POTA films I was kinda groaning inside when I heard they were making these, but 10 minutes into the film not only was I relieved I was ecstatic, they really did an A+ job, making it their own while showing proper respect and homage to the OG's.
You guys watching one of the best trilogy out there!
It is getting better and better.
Caesar is such a great character, and his journey is amazing.
I cannot wait to continue this journey and see what awaits with the next two. I've heard nothing but great things about them 😄
I think by far the best of the trilogy. You could sense the "moment" was coming at some point but it still is absolutely shocking when it happens. Andy Serkis is an absolute treasure and a master for bringing Caesar to life! Class act. Thanks for the reaction you two. Enjoyed it.
When Caesar spoke my jaw dropped and I had instant CHILLS
Amazing trilogy
Andy Serkis is THE ultimate physical/Motion capture actor, he conveys so much damn emotion in his movements.
This entire series is masterfully made. I’m so happy to see you guys giving it a chance. It truly is one of my favorite film trilogies, especially of the 2010s.
Awesome! The journey through Andy Serkis’ greatest hits continues! After you guys get through this you have to do Peter Jackson’s King Kong(extended cut FTW) for Ari, not only did Serkis star in that one he did the MoCap for Kong as well
He played Kong wtf 😭
@@TheBombasticFatRat Yep, it was the precursor to him playing Caesar in the newer Planet of the Apes movies. He also was the Assistant Director on Peter Jackson’s Hobbit trilogy. The man has quietly put together an amazing career
Wow i never knew that@@ChadB1988
Denise's reaction to Caesar speaking is the best one I've ever seen, can't get over this every time I rewatch 😊
This is my mom's favorite series. We watched every movie in the theater. Great memories
The pacing in this movie is epic - one of the best in movie history in my opinion, doesn't miss a beat - every scene is lean and meaningful, forwarding the movie without wasting any superficial "fat" on other issues. Classic.
I still remember the "NOOO!" scene in the theatres. You could hear a pin drop. Goosebumps.
It's extremely well done.
caesar being bullied by his own because he was wearing clothes hurts my soul so much.
Exactly like humans
I love the guy’s face reacting to the beginning, knowing what’s about to go down
As a fellow movie buff with a passion for cinema I started delving into reaction videos and I must say I enjoy your channel the most! Much love!
@@OfficialMediaKnights Jesus guys! How many languages do you speak?
Hearing Caesar say no for the first time gave me goosebumps. Seeing people react to it is always fun to see cause it’s the same oh my god reaction I had.
After more than 10 years that scene when Caesar yells "NO" gives me goosebumps.
This trilogy solidifies the fact that Andy Sekis deserves an Oscar for his performance not that he needs one but definitely deserves one
I watched this in a theater when it came out. Everyone gasped when Caeser spoke.
No? Would you like to?"
22:19: "He's very smart, but he exhibits all his instincts, too." Well, and he's also basically a teenager.
I love your reactions. You aren't just reacting; you're analyzing, and you're doing it really well! Your LOTR reactions especially are fantastic!
That “nooooo”!! Will always give me chills😭💯
This movie is so amazing guys, you need to watch the rest of this franchise. Cesar are amazing. ❤
Caesar is played by Andy Serkis. All of those micro expressions that you are noticing in Caesar are the motion capture sensors on Andy's face.
Andy Serkis really brought realism, charm, charisma & depth to Caesar this guy doesn't get enough credit. Andy was even brought King Kong to life.
It's a shame David Hewlett's role was so small in this movie but it was an awesome surprise for Stargate fans that he was.
Remember the neighbor who was pilot...58:57
Offff yeah, about that pilot...
My man David Hewlett, the SG legend, the jerk from Cube.
God damn it McKay 😂
Andy serkis did an amazing job capturing Ceasar. He is def one of the best at what he does
The social commentary in these movies blows my mind. They shine a bright light on humanities dark side.
😎😎
This is my second favorite trilogy of all time. Everything about it is perfect, and Andy Serkis killed it. Can’t wait for the new movie in May. 😄
I have legitimately been WAITING for you guys to react to this trilogy! So pumped!
Increible como Rocket paso de ser un bully a mano de CESAR y de los mas confiables junto a MOURICE ( o como se escriba ) ♥
I love this trilogy so much! It gets better and better. I LOVE Cesar! Andy Serkis is brilliant!!
The Planet of the Apes Trilogy. AKA: Where's Andy Serkis's damn Oscar?!
FACTS, GIVE HIM ONE ALREADY!!
All hail the great CAESAR💚
This is an amazing trilogy, Caesar💚 is the best!!! ...love him to bits, hes a way better leader then most human leaders today.
When caesar said "NO", this is the best "Big No" scene ever.
One of the best trilogy movies out there hands down
This movie is heartbreaking. It’s good, but the are so many moments that are just sad. The whole Alzheimer’s thing with Will’s dad must be so relatable for so many people. And the ape’s story is just unutterably disturbing imo. Imagine being turned into a this brand new type person and still being treated like an animal and worse with no rights and no respect 😣
I didn’t care for most of the CGI, but the story easily makes up for it, 9/10.
It's such a phenomenal story with so many deep themes that are truly thought-provoking. When I first watched these I didn't expect much. I just thought they'd be your standard blockbuster. I remember by the time I left the theater after the 2017 finale I was in awe by the story they were able to tell.
The CGI here is phenomenal though.
@@gavinderulo12 yeah I remember thinking it didn’t look that great when I first watched it. But now I don’t mind it.
Saw all 3 of these at the cinema - when Caesar spoke - the collective gasp in the cinema! 😮
It’s a fantastic trilogy but I cannot watch them again - the cruelty towards Caesar & his gang just breaks my heart ❤
